Ok so the Scavanger Hunt will be on the 15th a Sea Day. I am thinking around 9:30am. Does this sound ok?

Goodmorning all, It's Dismeet day and so far it isn't raining! But it will be cold so dress warm everyone. (I mean cold for us - the high will be between 54-62)

Ok...at the risk of sounding dumb, what is the passporter?
And, Kelly, do you have a suggestion of where to stay and/or a character or fun meal place at DL? We will only be there Sunday and Monday, post-cruise.
There are 6 of us (that's probably important for rooming).
Thanks, Deanna

Candy Cane, Fairfield, DL hotel, Paradise Pier all seem to be the most popular.

We like Goofy's kitchen best for character. If you like princesses best go to the Ariel's grotto.

Well funny you should ask, I plan on Napa Rose or Steakhouse 55 for dinner, but totally open to suggestions for the other meals of the day. If anyone wants to splurge with us please come join (I'm an AP so at least that is some discount) I'm going to call them now and see what is open, thanks for reminder :thumbsup2

I've never been to Napa Rose, love Steakhouse 55

Self quote...I'm back.
Booked Napa Rose On MARCH 30th @ 6:30pm for a party of 4. I figured if someone wants to join us great, if not we can pair it down, but not as easy to grow it from 2. PM me if anyone wants to join us for dinner.
ok, back to reading...

Sounds great! Just realized I'll have to check DH travel Sked.

gydell-happy to see everything is ok with you and your house:goodvibes did you know that the girl that was on the bachelor who's parents live in your neighborhood was chosen to be the next bachelorette?:confused3 well, we just watch the bee movie a little while ago and DH is done cooking steaks on the grill so heading out to eat....have a good evening everyone:goodvibes

We just watched the Bee movie too. very cute.

Well, time to shut off the laptop and read HP. We are now on book 4, Goblet of Fire, and have watched the first 3 movies too.
Night folks.

Goblet is heavy!

If it is your birthday, when at CA at the tortilla factory they will give a whole package of their tortillas if you have a birthday pin. You can get the birthday pin at guest relations or any shop by the front entrance. The tortillas are well worth it! Have a Happy Birthday! Heather

YUM

Been a week here on the westside of town. Tuesday Mom fell and sprained her ankle pretty bad. Wednesday Alex took me into urgent said I had pneumonia again and had to peal Alex off the ceiling. So they gave us drugs and sent me home to rest. Thursday night starting to worse like really scary worse. Alex said i will take you back tomorrow just keep taking the meds so they have a chance to work. While we were getting ready to take me back my mom calls and says having a heart attack. So kenzie stays home with me last night, and alex meet them at the ER. he was there until the wee hours of the morning today, but when he came home and heard me. He took me back in. The doctor said I don't have pneumonia again but a serious sinus infection and if they had a good exam they would of seem it. She was even disgusted by her fellow colleague. So we came home today with more meds. The cough syrup is working but man its every four hours on the dot. Took all my doses of antibotic don't feel much difference in the breathing ability.

Now alex is off to work, mom's at the hospital with dad and i can't leave the house. The phone are all turned back on since dad went back into the er so i am answering all incoming calls landline and cellular. So my prayers with the man above have been a little harsh these past twent four hours.

I am suppose to meet the property manager company about the renter renewing for another year. I am hoping that i will be able to travel out to LA for that by next monday. Are you guys going out?

OMG:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: You better not get on a plane next week! You'll do damage to your ears like I did - YOU STAY IN BED!

OFF to DL ... no off to shower first.

With all this talk of 10 Forward (Gee I wonder if we'll meet Whoopi?) and the mean and pushy people that can occur there, it got me to thinking.

There are an awful lot of us as a "group". We could "intimidate" a few others quite easily. If we all organize ourselves, I'm sure we could all be quite accomodating for each other quite easily.

"Ok kids in the front and arrnged from shortest to tallest." I'm 6' and I don't mind standing behind someone shorter, but usually my concern is watching out for my kids - they are both quite shy and won't stand up for themselves and will not speak up when someone invades their space or pushes them out of the way. So that is why I usually try and make myself bigger than normal.

But if we were to get together and put some sort of organization in place .... well we could control 10 Forward! LOL ;)

Could be fun!!:lmao:

Doesn't look too tasty!!;)

Just thought I'd share a few pics from last night with my new camera.

My DD6. A few weeks ago this shot would have been impossible as the snow bank would have been taller than her.
190834.jpg

We were having a light dusting of snow, so the girls were trying to catch a few. And yes you can see my lawn starting to show as the snow retreats.
191731.jpg

I popped the flash on and really liked how it captured the individual snowflakes (especially those around her cheeks)
191804.jpg

I think the girls were happy to see grass instead of snow. They even pulled out their running shoes to play outside.
191849.jpg

Not sure if it will come out in this reduced size pic, but on the original sized pic you can see the individual snowflakes caught in her hair.

And no the snow didn't last. It pretty much melted as soon as it hit the ground. However, I woke up this morning to 10*F weather (that's -12*C) and it doesn't look like it is going to get any warmer! It looks beautiful outside - bright blue sky lots of sunshine - just a little cold. Guess not much snow will be melting today ....

Ken, your girls are so cute.

Thnx Marilyn. I like to think I had a little something to do with that! ;)

Woohoo!! Just had the girls try on their outfits from the pics below (Canadian Princesses and Pirates) and they fit. Kaleigh's dress is a little shorter but that might make it easier for her to walk in. Both girls want to ditch the skirts for their pirate outfits and just wear black leggings so that will be easier for them (and also easier to pack).

So looks like Princess and Pirate Party is ready to go now, and we are set for Pirate night onboard!

Yes I would like to know are the first locks somehow better then the second or do they do anything special for the ship?

I am not sure if its the first set of locks but my DH was telling me that one of the locks we are within a matter of inches getting into the lock. I will be happy to share out balcony. We are going to make a sign and hang it over our railing when we are going through the canal. We still haven't completely decided what to say on it.

Ok I just read over on the main board that they are changing dining rotations... but it may not happen for us - nobody has really said... but they did say they were going to try out NEW MENUS!!!

Can't wait to see what the first cruisers with the new menus say about them... they have 8 weeks to work all the kinks out!!!

what main board are you talking about?

So that's MARCH 30TH then?;)

Oh, what a bad week fopr you. Take care, rest when you can. Hope your mom is soon ok and home too.

Thank you! I actually got to sleep a couple hours last night with the cough syrup so I can keep up with sounds of the 5 yr old in the other room today. I woke up to snow on the ground again. Looking at the mark on the dog's leg I would say about two inches.

Shots Around the Ship Survey

Just a reminder, for those of you who added your names to the list for this extravaganza, I sent out an email yesterday with a link to a survey, where I am collecting opinions as to date, time and location.

Please check your inbox/spam box. Still waiting on several people to respond.

To those who did respond, I know who you are, and thank you.

I'll compile the result and send out the details in a few days.

you are welcome and that was a great survey

I kinda get from looking at a couple of the pictures, that it might have happened in the middle of the night when everyone else might have been in bed sleeping? :confused3

That's not to say that they didn't run into one of the ship's officers between deck 10 and deck 7 though, but you would have to ask someone who is in the picture. Now, to find that person...................:scared1:

why not sneak them in the elevator...that would have been me :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Sorry you've been so miserably sick. Hope your mom/dad are okay. My parents will be here until this next week then headed home to Idaho.

Yes, Jamie and I are headed for our annual mother/daughter trip next week (which is the only free time she has). It is her 16th birthday in April, so we are celebrating our annual trip a little early this year. She doesn't know where we are going or what we are doing. I told her to pack summer clothes and a dress and a swimsuit. I bought "premium" tickets for Wicked Friday night in L.A. She has wanted to see it for a long time. I also bought the backstage tour passes at 6 p.m., so we will do the behind the scenes tour before the show. Seats are row J, orchestra, right in the middle! We fly into Long Beach leaving here Friday at 11 a.m. I think, and then fly back Monday at noon from Long Beach I think.

I haven't made hotel reservations yet, thought I might bid on Priceline and I had an offer to go stay Friday night in Ventura with disboard friends (just don't know if I want to drive from LA to Ventura that late at night), so I'm undecided at this point.

We have our annual passes to DL, just not sure what Jamie will want to do and since she likes the motion sickness rides and I don't, well, we will see what happens! In any case, I know we will hit DL at least one day!

Okay, going to put a breakfast bread in the oven so my mom thinks I cook around here.....

I am hoping the congestion is better by Monday. I wish they could find a way just to suck it right out of you. Dad is the same no changes or no more big MI's since Friday night. I haven't heard anything yet from the nurses so I am sure no doctors have been in yet.

We are suppose to fly out of SLC Sat night and fly back the following Sat. night the 29th. I know the drive you are speaking about up to Ventura. I know those special friends of yours but it might be too late and too long of a drive. Are you planning to go to DL on Sunday? Easter Sunday? maybe we can hook up on sunday depending what you all are planning on?

come on now I thought you were a gourment chef?!

I am trying to figure out if I should do a scrapbook for Ann of her 50yrs old so far?? any thoughts?

Don't be inviting too many so that it gets mean and pushy there!

we're only 300 here and we have a 300' state room, should be ok,don't cha think?????:rolleyes1

ok, lifeboaters and invited guests only, Gydell made me see the light :rotfl2:
