That's what I think my bunch will do as well. Not going to fight people to look at the first locks. My kids will not care if they see the first locks or the last.

I never use the web for ressies for Dland Hotel, just call. I've found the web more costly. How much is your room at GC?

I can't believe he said that you should quit school what bad advice...they obviously don't know their job. In high school I had a counselor tell me that I shouldn't go to college I got accepted to all the universities I applied to except one...they wanted me to retake my SAT's(I'm a horrible test taker) not only did I go to college I graduated (all my roomates from the dorms flunked out)and was very involved in school politics and relations and then had a career as a human resource manager in medical until choosing to set my career aside and be a full time mom. It was not easy to go through all those classes and jump the requirement hoops but with hard work it could be done. They should not be discouraging students but encouraging them that they could do it and help/guide them...and you can do it Jill hang in there and petition and play their game your almost there

I panicked and applied to 4 extra schools and signed up to take the SAT's over. Before I could re-take them I got accepted at all of the schools I applied to!

Yep, looks like they are taking the deck chairs and putting them on a verandah for a DIS party.

I was not one of those who were most likely to do much of anything with their lives... I wish I could go to the next reunion and thumb it at all of them!!!

BTW... I had one teacher in HS who absolutely believed I could do college... my parents had broken up and I was literally a mess... I went to work after I failed out of my first semester.. and everytime I ran into him he would ask if I was in college and when I said "no" the only thing he would ask me was "why not?" Well, I did it. Quit a full time job at 21 and went back to school... 6 years later I got my degree... & a few years ago I wrote to tell him... felt like a darned Hallmark commercial!!!

I might just have to do that and I promise not to push you guys!

I was one A short of straight A's as a sophmore in high school to have my counselor tell me I was trying too hard. What a nut job. for the record I quit trying at that point and just slept thru the rest of school and got mostly As and some Bs.

when watching the locks in China last summer on the Yangtze we got bored with it too. Well Molly did, I could watch paint dry....I suspect the kids will indure(sp) watching one and then be done with it.

Ok I just read over on the main board that they are changing dining rotations... but it may not happen for us - nobody has really said... but they did say they were going to try out NEW MENUS!!!

Can't wait to see what the first cruisers with the new menus say about them... they have 8 weeks to work all the kinks out!!!

I hope not. I am not gonna push people out of the way to see anything but will not be nice if someone pushes my kids. I know I was pissed when she was almost smushed at the Hannah Montana concert outside when Hannah popped outside and that was by adults.

I am also not gonna sleep outside and have heard comments that if you dont run off the ship to Castaway as soon as the ships doors open that others think you do not "deserve" the use of a hammock and will claim "theirs" all day even if not using it. I could care less about hammocks but I hope the same is not true for looking over the railing. I would like a look for a bit but I am not going to stand around for hours and will not hog any spot I am in for sure. That just seems un Disney and un vacation like to me.

Ah Yes! I remember. I didn't experience any outright rudeness - but not many people moved. Like Linda said - by the 2nd lock - things were a bit easier to see. Also, when first dinner time came that was a good time to see the locks. And frankly, you'll get better shots of the locks on deck 4.

One thing - make sure you have plenty of sunscreen. It is hot and I was burned.

YES, DECK 10 FORWARD, MEAN AND PUSHY!

Deck 10 forward-people slept out all night in lounge chairs. Around 4 a.m. the lounge chairs started clearing out, deck 10 forward was STANDING ROOM ONLY, NO CHAIRS. People were there by 5 a.m. and it was PACKED!

Packed in like sardines ... no room to even move!!

One of my best memories ... when I was sure there was not even room for a child to squeeze their way thru ... along comes MUSHU (big, red with some LARGE feet) and he just pushed/stepped/squished his way right thru the masses ... and it was hilarious fun (at least to me). Another bit of Disney Magic

Cannot explain why that was so fun/cool, but it really was ... the way a path just seemed to open for MUSHU.

It's 2 days before APRIL FOOLS DAY (March 30th)

So that's MARCH 30TH then?

Been a week here on the westside of town. Tuesday Mom fell and sprained her ankle pretty bad. Wednesday Alex took me into urgent said I had pneumonia again and had to peal Alex off the ceiling. So they gave us drugs and sent me home to rest. Thursday night starting to worse like really scary worse. Alex said i will take you back tomorrow just keep taking the meds so they have a chance to work. While we were getting ready to take me back my mom calls and says having a heart attack. So kenzie stays home with me last night, and alex meet them at the ER. he was there until the wee hours of the morning today, but when he came home and heard me. He took me back in. The doctor said I don't have pneumonia again but a serious sinus infection and if they had a good exam they would of seem it. She was even disgusted by her fellow colleague. So we came home today with more meds. The cough syrup is working but man its every four hours on the dot. Took all my doses of antibotic don't feel much difference in the breathing ability.

Now alex is off to work, mom's at the hospital with dad and i can't leave the house. The phone are all turned back on since dad went back into the er so i am answering all incoming calls landline and cellular. So my prayers with the man above have been a little harsh these past twent four hours.

I am suppose to meet the property manager company about the renter renewing for another year. I am hoping that i will be able to travel out to LA for that by next monday. Are you guys going out?

Oh, what a bad week fopr you. Take care, rest when you can. Hope your mom is soon ok and home too.

Yes, but I am little, only 5 ft, look like I have to squeeze through but maybe I back off until after first lock. Maybe things calm down??

Oh dear, I saw the pictures of people took the chairs up, I thought myself my god sound it will be crazy on Deck 10!!

Now I am off to Perth for deaf children day out to see Ark Boat but it is raining today.
