Just pack 15 pairs of undies and wing the rest... at least you'll have enough of the important stuff to get you through until you can bribe someone with fatty fruity boozy drinks to give you a washer... :lmao:

Or just bring disposable undies!

Thanks that is a good place to start. I wonder how much it has gone up in the past few years.

I just got off the Wonder March 2nd, and I brought the laundry slip because I knew inquiring minds would want to know. It's at home, I'll get the info off of it and post the cost as of 3/2/08

well John picked up the girls and I managed to get home swim fifty laps in the pool in peace and quiet! Whoo hoo!

Shirley posted this on Helpful info thread!!!

ANOTHER UPDATE 03/13/2008

OK I need to really bring each and all up to speed if you are returning a car
back in here at Cape Canaveral.
I did some checking today and if you do NOT fill your gas tank before turning it
in, you will be charged $6.999 a gal so save yourself a little bit of monies by
stopping at one of the gas stations before you turn it back in.
Just food for though
always
Shirley

WOW!! That's a fabulous price!! I thought I did great when I bought my wife's at just over $200.

Ken, it is one of two big vendors that we use and he is competing for more of our business, so he said whatever he can do for me he would. Very likely me, eh?:goodvibes

That's awesome PJ. My stupid camera appears to be broken. It keeps asking for new batteries even when I just put in new ones :( I can't afford a new one... GRRRRR!

If you really think she misunderstood and it was a language barrier, do you think it was fair to her to call her and up and be livid with her. These are the risks you take when planning a surprise vacation. Just my opinion.

I am so MAD!!! My nanny told my kids today that we are going on vacation in May and she thinks it is the Disney cruise!! It was a total language barrier situation. I had told her that we were taking the time off, and I also told her that it was a surprise for the kids and we hadn't told them. She must have misunderstood. I just called her at home livid after my sons told ME that we are going on the disney cruise. I completely denied it, told them our nanny was confused....I was so looking forward to surprising them at Easter. ARGGG:mad: My DH thinks they will still be surprised and happy, but I feel she took away my surprise. ARGG!

Does your camera take AA batteries? If so I learned that not all AA batteries are the same and some cameras are quite persnickety about their batteries.

Apparently AA batteries are actually made at different lengths. Very minimal to the naked eye, but what happens is the contacts on the AA batteries do not necessarily always make contact with the leads in the camera. This then has the camera thinking the batteries are dead or dying (depending on the amount of contact) even though they might have been just brand new out of the package.

Also, if they are rechargeable batteries (like Nimh) they will tend to lose their charge as they sit in your spare pocket waiting to get used. And as they get older they tend to hold less and less of a charge.

I'm currently in the process of changing all of my rechargeable camera batteries over from Nimh to Lithium. Lithium are supposed to hold their charge better. Howver, you do have to worry about the new rules when flying in the US about Lithium batteries in your checked luggage.

I just bought a bunch of Sanyo Eneloops rechargeable batteries, which are supposed to be quite good. I haven't opened them yet as I am saving them for the cruise. Until then I am going to run down my Nimh rechargeables till there is basically nothing left of them.

These are the numbers I got for the fish teams...

total # of people - 367 (note, this number is EVERYONE, those who'll have FE and those who won't. Detailed FE info is below)
total # of children under 18 - 112
total # of 18 and over - 255
total # of cabins - 141

I thought the last number I saw for number of cabins with FE was 88. That was a while ago tho.

Well, Amy is in the recliner, and I am on the couch, and Sophia is in her room watching the Disney Channel - Whoo hoo!

Ken, when I had a camera that took AA batteries, I could not stand it when I was not using lithium batteries. The flash lag you talked about drove me nuts! There are some (not rechargeable though) made just for cameras that almost look like two batteries glued together. I really like the rechargeable battery packs we have on our current Canon cameras much better.

I'm still at work, DrHug is home. No work for him today. Today is my Friday, but DrHug works tomorrow so I am home alone. I think I will start painting the laundry room. Fun stuff!

Looks a nice day today, though windy. But it is March - in like a lion, out like a lamb and all that!!

Going to the gym in a mo. Feel fat today - too much bread I think all landing on my tum!:sad2:

I always note how it comes in since the going out will be on my BIRTHDAY (okay one day after) so it's my special month to watch and see if it's true, and mostly it is...this year in like a lion (well windy as all get out) so nice as a lamb on my birthday I would suspect.

Oh, and speaking of weather. Pray for rain for me. The reports are that we will get a major dumping tonight and into the weekend, so there is hope that the little league all day event(s) will be postponed and Wilson will still get to race.

I have much to share about the Field Trip I went on today with Molly's class. We sailed out of Jack London Square, Oakland in a replica ship that first came around the Cape Horn The Lady Washingtonhttp://historicalseaport.org/web/index.html

I've got to get my pictures accessible between my laptop and desktop and start sharing them...
