Yes, the "boys" are actually young men 23 & 21 but developmentally their skill range is 4-12 for the big guy and 8-15 for the younger one.

Were you on the TransAtlantic last year with us? We have Patrick who is 30, and he has CP and his mental age is about 4 also. I think I remember you guys.......so glad you are on this cruise too!

Yes, Ducky will sign anything you want. We got 4 lithographs free with a coupon for passholders and we are bringing them so he can sign them. Then we are going to frame them together in a window pane type frame.

Well I can't believe that no one in this group has booked their shuttle from the port in LA as of yet.

So what time did everyone else book it for?

Marilyn and I are both requesting some assistance, please. Pretty please with smarties on top....

We haven't booked ours yet, but we plan on booking it with Primetime Shuttle for 9am to LGB to pick up our rental car - we may be going to San Diego that first day for an overnight visit with some family there

I have heard great thinks about Dysons but my current vaccun is made like a dyson and I hate it. It has a canister too and thats the part I broke. THe canister hardly ever opens on its own and I have to take out the filter b/c of the cat hair to empty it. The top part also comes off mine and it is too hard to clean. Also Ihave to empty it outside as it get every where. So I don't know if I shold get a Dyson or not. We are going to try a bunch at the stores and see. I think I am cursed when it comes to vaccums!

I just read the reviews for my vaccum and they all say get a Dyson instead. So which one is best and recommendations?

We have a dyson (not the upright version - the one with a telescopic handle), and whilst it 'sucks up' better than any other vacuum we have ever had, two things bother us:
1. The power head that came with it broke really easily
2. The receptable just fills up too quickly. We have a lot of carpet in our house, but it only holds half of what our old bag vacuums held. Also, because it is so much more efficient, it sucks up a lot that a normal vacuum wouldn't.

So, if you can live with those things, go for it - it really is great!

What is the animal in your incentives? We have a black and white border collie. Maybe the incentives are done by service unit??? No that can't be right, they are ordered at our council level I know since I've handed them out before....

Nan, The interesting thing is that different councils have different cookies too! I buy from my niece here in LA County and her troop has one bakery, and I buy from a friend's DD in Ventura County and they have a different selection from another bakery!

Hello again you three! Yes we were on the TransAtlantic, the boys, myself and my GF at the time. She decieded she had enough of the boys after I paid for all her cruise expenses and she left for "greener pastures." Is your other son going to be going on this cruise too? Look forward to seeing you again!

As I understand it, the lovely smarties you can buy in the UK and Australia aren't available in the US - is that right?

If so, and anyone wants some, we can get them here in Australia in 410g (about 14oz) large bags!!! I can bring some for anyone that wants them - just PM me and let me know what you want!!

Yup.... but it's like Xmas... I feel like i'll be ready for Xmas sometime around Jan 15th... but it all seems to get done... hopefully!!!

Maybe after the cruise is over, I'll see if I can start crashing proms. I'm sure I could pass for 17.

Hence the reason I try to get them into the oceaneer club so I can get a break. I have trained the men well so they are fairly well behaved. The best part is that now that they both are over 21, so they can each bring back a bottle of spirits for me!


I didn't know they served spirits in the clubs...

I told my mom today that I was thinking about going on a trip with Daniel when school was out. She started to cry.....This is going to be hard....

Lisa... Mom will be fine... it's like leaving the kids with the grandparents... we always cried until mom and dad were out of site...

The Smarties that we treasure are the very sugary pastel kind that put you in a sugar coma especially after eating the whole bag in one sitting... there are several of us who are experts on this...

The ones we have are different coloured candy buttons filled with chocolate - similar to M&M's but much tastier and a bit bigger - I'll find a picture and post it....
