We're starting on our spring break vacation a couple of days early, so we leave tomorrow. I won't be checking in for about a week. If I miss anything really important, I'm sure you will all let me know when I get back.

I can serve as the deck monitor for Deck 5 if you don't already have someone. We're in 5524, which is not centrally located, but all the cabins are aft or forward on deck 5, so it will probably have to do. We are just off the forward elevator, so it will be easy for folks to find.

If you want to put me down as deck monitor, could you do me a favor and send me a pm? I'm out of town for the next week, so I'm sure I'd never find a post on the thread by the time I got back. Thanks a bunch.

Well I can't believe that no one in this group has booked their shuttle from the port in LA as of yet.

So what time did everyone else book it for?

I really can't answer, I'm with Marr, we are going to the Grand CA I'm just coming along for the ride :rotfl:
 

Some of us are still shopping and others are all packed and standing by the door waiting for the airport car service to come by and get them! :lmao:

I'm with ya sister....gotta plan it out, so that I have no thinking about what the kids or Paul and I want to wear on the ship. We like to have our matchy matchies ya know..:rotfl:
 
Hello all!! Just droppin' in....ok, actualy lurking about (ha) to catch-up abit. This time I am so far behind....not seeing the light at the end.

For what it's worth, when I did the West coast cruise back in '05 we were off the ship before 10 a.m. Actually, I was off sooner, because they had two lines, one for passports and one w/out passports. I was in the passport line, which was way shorter but my sis and her son were in the other so I had to wait for them.

Marr, Passports right???
 
Another report:

I purchased my PHX to MCO one-way on Frontier last June for $153. Since I purchased it, the flight times drastically changed (as has happened to others on here). So because of that, Frontier would let me cancel with no penalty.

I did some checking and found a one-way, non-stop (my Frontier had one stop w/a couple hrs. layover) on US Air for $103! :cool1: I'm so excited! I leave PHX at 9 a.m. and get into MCO at 4:30! My Frontier flight left at 6:30 a.m. This is so much better and it's cheaper, too!:banana:

that is a great flight, congrats!
 
I'm one who makes lists for weeks (okay who are we kidding ... months) and then packs a few days before ... then add, takeaway, repack ... then the day before check off everything from my list. :lovestruc

The white boards are so we can have a place to post announcements to the group. There is one on each deck, hopefully in a central location or at least a location that is easy to walk by frequently. I'm on deck 6 aft of the aft elevator, so that is not a good location. But Kelly volunteered for deck 6.

We need volunteers for the other decks. All you need to do is leave a space on your door for the white board. Also, you may get a phone call from someone asking you to post a message on your door. The volunteers get to keep the board afterwards.

Susie I'll do it for deck 8. Would it be okay if the kids left me a note on it too, or too confusing for everyone???
 
nan..definately passports...so much faster.

For the shuttles, I booked the disney transport back to LAX. $30 pp so not so bad for the 2 of us.
 
Lori/amesmom and I are right next door...we can monitor each other as I think we are the only ones on deck 5! ;)
 


I'm sorry, but I'm really having a hard time understanding this process. Noel was going to be the keeper of the master list and then phone the deck monitors with changes to keep everyone current. I know you'll have the mini navigator with as current info as possible. But what happens when my stateroom starts flooding on day 3 and I get moved somewhere else. Who do I contact to let them know so that when the fish teams are giving out gifts I don't get missed. Don't we need a keeper of the master list that everyone with a room change can contact. If so, Susie/luv2cruzsus has already volunteered to do this job.

Deb when you are flooded out we are ALL GOING TO KNOW IT :lmao: :lmao:
