I have hired a car to take us to our car rental at the airport. I didn't have to say a specific time. They told me to call the morning of and schedule a time. But I'm usually off the boat about 9-9:30am so you have to figure that 10-10:30am would be a good time to schedule a pick up. You have to think that we'll all be talking a lot and hugging a lot before taking off.

Thanks Deb! :thumbsup2

I just called SuperShuttle and booked ours. I just told the guy what time the ship docks and he went from there. Just like you said you did.

Marilyn, I would just book it with whomever you want to and do the same thing. I'm sure they will have everything figured out as I am going to guess there will be a few people booking. I have 7 ppl in my booking so we ended up with a private van, otherwise I would say you could hitch with us, but I'm not sure they can accommodate many more.

One more item taken care of and prepaid!

Now if only losing that last 6-7 pounds would be as easy .....

I've never gone to the adult pool (in 3 cruises). I'm definitely going to make it this time! More sea days mean more opportunities for lounging. I intend to lounge, but I seem to end up doing things.;)

Isn't Quiet Cove adults only? Or do they not really enforce that?

Yes, adults only and YES, THEY DO ENFORCE IT!

I had a gal with a baby in stroller on my cruise a couple of weeks ago. She was told politely that it was adults only and that she needed to take baby and stroller to either Goofy or Mickey pool. Lady said, well baby is sleeping, CM said sorry, it was adults only area!

Thanks to the CM! Next thing you know we would have had 18 strollers with "sleeping babies in them".

I personally think there is alot of adult talk, games, etc., etc., and kids under 18 shouldn't be anywhere around. I want my quiet time!

For the new to dis cruisers on here, yes I'm one of them, please tell us what you do so that we can know how this works. Thanks.
The white boards are so we can have a place to post announcements to the group. There is one on each deck, hopefully in a central location or at least a location that is easy to walk by frequently. I'm on deck 6 aft of the aft elevator, so that is not a good location. But Kelly volunteered for deck 6.

We need volunteers for the other decks. All you need to do is leave a space on your door for the white board. Also, you may get a phone call from someone asking you to post a message on your door. The volunteers get to keep the board afterwards.

When we got off in May 2005, we took our time. However, our friends were some of the first to get off, but they had to wait and wait for luggage! We didn't enter the port until like 6 a.m. in the morning if I remember right.

We got off around 10:15 a.m. and they were still waiting for their luggage to show up! We got out of the terminal, through customs and waited in line for a taxi to the LAX airport and left the terminal around 10:45 a.m. Got to the LAX airport about 11:20 since it was a Saturday morning and traffic moved smoothly.

Don't know if we will port in the middle of the night this time or if they will wait to bring her in until morning after daylight, that will make a difference as to when luggage gets off the ship

Good info to know!!

Thanks Linda!! :thumbsup2

So my room (7043) which is midships right behind the midships stairs would be a good spot??

Hi

I was mentioned to Marilyn about supershuttle last week or week before. I am glad that you had booked it.

I don't know what happen to us, it is 6 of us plus Marilyn and John and another couple too mean 9 of us as, we all are staying different hotel. I think it will charge us 10 dollars each for stop off in different hotel?

Hi everyone,

I called DCL a little while ago to make sure all my SBC had been applied and while I had the agent on the phone I asked if she could see which dining rotation I had. I'm down for "late", I knew that, but wondered which of the three times I had.

Anyway, she said she had heard that for the PC cruises and the Westcoast cruises they were going back to having just the 2 seatings, not the staggered times. Who knows? Just thought I'd pass that along.

Oh yes, another rumour....we will see.

Who was it that posted - we will be on ship, we will be dining, we will be having fun...

Marilyn

Have you decide what to do with suppershuttle? Do you think it is best way together or you both with tigger137, 4 of you and us book own suppershuttle to save 10 dollars for stop over? Or you both with us to dl hotel, Alison and dave with tigger 1337 as they booked raddison hotel mean not dl hotel?

What you think? I have not spoke to Alison and David yet?

For everyone planning to scrapbook the cruise Quickutz released a bunch of pirate dies today:
http://www.quickutz.com/qk2/new.aspx

Really cute!!!

Oh I like these and they work with my cuttlebug too.

Our office just bought the Expressions machine, (it is suppose to be better than the Cricut). My cohort here at work has it at her house and is trying it out!

Is that the one you hook up to your computer and it cuts just about anything? If so it looks awesome and someone on thte scrapbook board has one and does amazing work too. Unfortunatle we don't have a great computer or a computer in my scrapbook room.

A few of us are planning to join for a private van.

I don't know what to do really. We are at Grand Californian which is just accross from you at Paradise Pier. Where are Alison and David staying? Tigger 1221 and hubby are at the Candy Cane Inn.

I have owned a lot of them myself and while I did love my crazy expensive Kirby I had before I think I like my latest one best. It is a Dyson. It is a bit lighter then the Kirby still heavier then some of the ultra lights out there of course. It is easy to use has few parts and dumping the canister is super easy. It has a trigger so I take the canister off with one hand walk to the trash and pull the trigger which makes the trap swing open dumping everything into the trash. That is cool cince I do not have to touch the mess falling out. I use it everyday and I still like it after a year.

I LOVE my Dyson!:thumbsup2

I have heard great thinks about Dysons but my current vaccun is made like a dyson and I hate it. It has a canister too and thats the part I broke. THe canister hardly ever opens on its own and I have to take out the filter b/c of the cat hair to empty it. The top part also comes off mine and it is too hard to clean. Also Ihave to empty it outside as it get every where. So I don't know if I shold get a Dyson or not. We are going to try a bunch at the stores and see. I think I am cursed when it comes to vaccums!

I just read the reviews for my vaccum and they all say get a Dyson instead. So which one is best and recommendations?

Marilyn, when you booked your cruise, didn't it get booked with transportation included? My TA told me that the included transportation was either from the port to the airport or to a DL hotel (DLH, GC or PP).

You may want to double check to make sure you don't already have transportation included if you are staying onsite in Disneyland.

Yup we are staying at Candy Cane Inn. I don't know how they handle different stops but it they only charge a small amount more we wouldn't mind. It would still cost less than on our own, I think.

OK, I get the whiteboard part.....who do I contact when I get a room assignment at the terminal so that everyone will get the message on the white board and know where I am.

Also, on previous cruises we have sometimes called them "hall monitors" :lmao: :lmao:

But, in any case, I have listed each stateroom on each deck in the mini-navigator so disboarders know where to go look for the latest and greatest info. Also, Susie and I met in the terminal last time and as I updated the mini-nav master copy in the terminal, she was able to copy down the info.

Now, on the TA we had ALOT of changes because alot of us did upgrades since the ship had alot of empty rooms, I don't expect that will happen that much this May for the PC.
