OK, I can't sleep either, bright eyed and bushy tailed at 5am this morning. Stayed up until 1:30 packing and loading the luggage carrier on the minivan (in the pouring rain).
So many things running through my head right now. I think I'll go ahead and get started with the last minute to do list before I have to get the girls up, I am obviously not going to be able to go back to sleep.

Gotta drop the dog off at a friend's house, get some quarters from the bank, get my eyebrows waxed, workout at gym, arrange my carry on bag, do the dishes, take the garbage out, lock all windows, turn off appliances, pick kids up from 3 different schools, pick DH up from work, head to airport and all this by noon today............... OK I'll stop there.

Gosh I can't wait til I step through the ears onto the Magic.

Oh and BTW, friend of DD15 brings her luggage by the house last night along with the notarized parental consent form for her to be on this cruise with us and guess what? The dates were wrong! I kept asking and asking and asking for this form so I could look it over and I finally get it last night at 9pm and it is wrong! That really stressed me out. Thank goodness her parents are able to print another out and have it notarized this morning with the correct dates.

We arrive at MCO tonight at 7:30 and are staying at the Marriott MCO. Good luck to everyone who is traveling to FL today, stay safe.

I'm so excited for those of you who have already arrived in FL or are on your way! Our flight leaves from Detroit in 5 hours! Good thing I'm not working many hours today. I'll never be able to fully concentrate. Sitting here with the dye on my hair waiting to rinse, then will throw the suitcases & carryon in the trunk and head to work.

Bad news: When I came out into the kitchen this morning I found a mouse turd!!!!! YUCK!!! I don't see any more evidence in any cupboards or anywhere, so I'm hoping that's not what it is. I was in and out last night, cleaning out the car, so I'm hoping it's a tiny clump of mud from outside that fell off my shoe and I just didn't notice last night.

AND......I forgot to mow last night! No way can I let my yard sit untouched for 2 weeks, so I need to ask my neighbor if their son can do it while I'm gone.

OK, on closer look, it's NOT A MOUSE TURD! I picked it up in a piece of kleenex and brought it very close to my eyes to make sure and it seems to be a piece of black plastic, possibly from the bottom of my suitcase.

Yup, I have a SERIOUS paranoia about mice!

Bit of excitment tonight. We went out after Mike got home to fill the car with gas so we can make it to the airport tomorrow morning at ungodly o'clock. The plan was to pick up some dinner too.

On the way into the parking lot, someone drove into our car!

We are fine. She was probably only going 5 mph. It was one of those things where you see her driving at you and think why can't she see us 5 ft in front of her?

The crumple (kind of a mini crash) did remove a lot of bits and pieces from the Escape; but it is still drivable. Which is the best thing, because NO WAY is our luggage fitting in my little car.

4 big suitcases, 1 carryon, 1 lowepro. Two of the suitcases are overweight.

I was planning on working on the weight issue tonight, but ending up spending the time talking to the police, insurance, and filing an accident report!

How long do I have to put my luggage on Weight Watchers before they lose 4 pounds each?

Better go to bed. We have tickets to Pirates & Princess tomorrow night.

Ian, I thought of you the whole time we were at the Chicago airport...We had great potbelly sandwiches, for real this time I think when we road trip to visit bueller (where is he by the way) we need to make a run thru Chicago, my kinda town....

Nan, so that was YOU on the local news last night! There was a report that I heard but missed about free slap-therapy being administered at O'Hare.

So, am I now going to have to have Potbelly sandwiches airlifted to you?

By the way, on my bus ride to and from work everyday, I pass the "Real" Potbelly's, the original location.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!

Could you hear me? Because I wanted to make sure I said it loud enough so that everyone still here and those in Florida could hear me.

Packing is complete. I'm sitting at the kitchen counter having my breakfast, and as soon as I'm done, this laptop goes in the backpack.

Sukie said to me this morning, "We'll be on a boat tomorrow!" This is the first time he has said anything about the trip.

I am working part of today. I have a conference call at 8:00 AM and then I have to pick up the house/dog sitter. Unlike the airlines, I am really imposing strict luggage restrictions. I told sitter that Mrs. Bennett while a hefty gal, cannot hold the contents of his house.

I'll know off from work at about 2:00 PM. Our flight departs at 7:25 PM, boarding is at 6:55 PM. I think we'll leave for the airport at about 3:30 PM, just in time to start hitting commuter traffic on the highway.

I still have to make the phone call to reserve the taxi.

Hey what night is the first formal night? I'm going to have to get the tuxes and the tux shirts pressed.

Mine was 21" but no one even questioned it and yes it fit in the overhead just fine.

Thanks. SW airlines is 24". That person that was freaking me out must had either been a troll or was not having a very good day. Thank goodness we didn't have a troll on this board this time.

We made it and have had a WILD day. We forgot to go to the bank o=to get $1 bills and forgot to print the cruise papers we need. We also left out the zip types for our fish extender. Oh well too late now. Glad eveyone is arriving safely!

I'll bring extra zip ties if you need one.

Hello, busy day here too. Got to do all the last things on my many lists today.

We will be going to my daughter's house early tomorrow morning and she will be dropping us off at the airport and will keep our car at her house. We live on the east side of the county and she is on the west side of the county.

Still disappointed about the toe - not sure if it is broken, but it is sure smashed. Nothing to be done - other than ice and tape, so I think it is a ploy so you all will know me.... by the limp....

And there are benfits.....DH now must drive and haul luggage while I ice the toe...

anyone have experience with Super Shuttles? I am looking to book them from the hotel to SNA airport in CA. Do you really need to be there 2 hours before.
