Does someone else do your job when you're gone? Jon will come home to 2 weeks worth of work :sad2:

NO! All the accounting stuff will be sitting here for me when I return. If I get hit by a bus no one would get paid! (or if I just decide not to get off the ship and claim squatters rights!)

OMG! I can hardly contain myself. I've been busy packing, packing and packing. We have three suitcases and all I have left to pack is our shoes and toiletries, so we'll be at 4 suitcases. I can't keep straight all the rules but I know our suitcases are at 50 lbs or under. I'll have to check on the measurement guidelines for AA. What a hassle.

So, how's everyone holding up!?!?! :cheer2:

Not too long now.......

We are moving to Florida!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Darrell got the official offer today and we are looking at Aug 4th as his start date so we would probably leave SD on July 28th.

So now we get back from the crusie and start packing!!!

Cruise question

Does anyone know if they "save" any excursion availability for booking onboard? I was able to book 3 spots for the Canyon Canopy Adventure in Cabo, but they couldn't take all 4 of us. Any know if there's any chance I can add myself in once we get onboard?

I don't think they hold spots, but due to cancellations you might very well be able to get one, especially since you only need one slot! Good luck! We wanted to be on that tour, but couldn't get any spaces.

Hello everyone. About the alarm clock, can you see the time at night? When I wake up in the middle of the night, I need to know what time it is or I can't sleep. I'll keep wondering what time it is and how close it is to morning.

You can't see the time at night- it's not a digital clock. If I wake up and need to know the time, I turn on the television. They'll show you information like the sea conditions, the wind, and the time :)

brooke is 5 and Ethan is 8. I have to go now. I'll be back in an hour or so.

Awww, they might have fun with my brother and sister. Grant is 4 (will be 5 in July) and Giuliette just turned 10. I fully expect Grant to be befriending all of the girls onboard :)

We're almost done packing - heading out to buy another suitcase so we will have 4 checked bags.

This is probably the furthest ahead of departure we've ever been ready :cool1:

Lisa, that is cool, obviously this is a move you were looking forward to.

Well, I got nervous today and bought a luggage weight scale at Target. I know they say you can use a fish weighting scale, but they didn't have it there.

I got a few things together today, and made some magnets......Connie

congratulations.....what a change from the "left" coast to the "east" coast!

Where in Florida will you be? close enough to go to WDW I hope!

see ya on the ship.:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I have no kids, I am the youngest of my family and DM is not well, so I am looking after her. I love kids, but it just hasn't been in the cards for me. Work is work, I prefer to leave that there, nothing fun or interesting but it pays the bills and I am good at it, I am a retail buyer, but I hate to shop myself. :confused3

You will find me a quiet person who is a very good listener and doesn't have to be the middle of any conversation, but likes to be part of it instead, I tend to be on the sidelines, cheering on others, and enjoying their success as much as if they were mine. :upsidedow

Most of the time, I just don't think what is happening in my life is all that hard, or special or .... ya know. I laugh, cry, and smile as I read about all the going on in everyone's life on the thread, but don't comment very often.

Pj

I don't think anyone ever wants to do anything that resembles work at home.

I always look at what most people are posting and think, wow, my life is easy. But we all go through stuff at one point or another. It is good that we touch you that much.

Don't rush having kids. After you have them you'll cherish the freedom you had before kids. Not that I regret it, I just wish I would have cherished that time in my life more. Now my kids are my life.

Watch for the cost of people calling while he is on the ship, even if it goes to voicemail there will be a charge.

Pj

We both must have access via our cells for clients, so no way to avoid those phone charges, but that is how we can take off being self employed:thumbsup2

I'm not sleeping at night and I fall asleep at weird times during the day. I can't imagine anyone ever going over 50 lbs because I have the biggest size case you can take and it has heavy stuff in it and it is only 35. Maybe the scale is wrong. Something else to freak out about.

Thanks for the info on the clock. I'm sure my kids will befriend anyone that will take them! I have a nephew who is going and he is 4 so he and Grant are the same age.

****CRUISE QUESTION****

I am doing some final packing and can't remember if the staterooms have hair dryers. Can someone help me out?:confused3 :confused3

Throw that phone away. You won't talk to anyone but me. Sorry Molly and Wil!

You should stay on the ship. It would be funny if no one got paid.
