So you would do two 7 day cruises. Do you have to take your bags off the ship or can you leave them in the room?

I could be wrong (it HAS been known to happen :rotfl2: ) but from what I heard is that if you keep the same room you don't need to worry about luggage. You also don't need to get off the ship but be aware that no services will be available to you (ex-food after breakfast). Way I look at things - that would be a good day to sleep in :lmao:

I agree that's why I wondered. That might be an option for us sometime, I'm not sure when.

Monica, I Diser, Chris, did this last October and as of then, those staying on the ship, had to disembark (last group to do so) then check-in land-side and re-entered the ship before the terminal doors were opened. Something to do with GS not being able to do the check-in process any longer. He stayed in the same room, but said if they had been moving they would have done the luggage move for them while they were re-checking in.

Did anyone else see that the DIS chat is back up and working, we could take over a room, anyone? Ok it is only the main room, what is the deal with that, too many convers going on at once. Is there somekind of special event going on?

HI PJ!!!!

Hope you're doing well :goodvibes So it sounds like Chris was off the ship just for a short time, right? I could handle that :)

I want the same room so that I don't have to re pack & re-unpack.

Wanna come too?

They had a cat 3 and no packing was required, just a tidy so a full sheet change and clean could be done. I think Chris said it was less then 30 minutes that they were off the ship. I would love to sail with the gang again, but September, while it would be over my birthday, is one time of year that I could never sail. At least until I get a new job, lol.

Monica, we actually were invited up for a boarding champagne meet, so he was back on board and had treats delivered to his room, and we had to cross the "rope" on deck 8 for it, too much fun was had in the adventure.

I wanted to let you all know that Sukie will be on Public Television on June 3rd. He is appearing in a documentary about Chicago gay history.

Not sure how many of you are aware of it, but in addition to writing two weekly newspaper columns, he is also a historian and is working on a history book. He is somewhat known in Chicago as a history expert in this topic and has spent hundreds of hours doing research.

He appears as a "talking head" in the documentary.

Not sure if it will be airing anywhere else other than Chicago, though it might at a future date.

The name of the program is "Out & Proud in Chicago."

This is sort of a big deal for us. The interviews were shot at our house, and I remember coming home from work several times to find documentary crew packing up and leaving our place.

Sort of exciting. You get to see our built-in bookshelves.
OH WOW!!! How cool! The PBS station I get is local, but maybe it will be showing Sukie's show too? I'll check, just in case.

It was martinis.::yes:: ...and they told us we had to drink them all! :rolleyes1

we are playing UCLA now! Go Gators!

Ugh, John mowed yesterday and tonight he was watering and he found a burrow with two baby bunnies. They are adorable.

:thumbsup2

I ran over a baby gopher! EEEWWW!! Dennis said he should NOT have been there!

so we were talking vacations over dinner and DH wants to go to Hawaii.

OKAY!!! Let us know when

Holly, wasn't it last year that you put on a "camo" party or something like that? And OTC messed up your order and you were scrambling around trying to get some things together? This one sounds MUCH easier!
Yup, that was it! Funny, as Tyler was getting ready for bed tonight we were talking about his last 2 parties, last year's camo/Army stuff and the previous year was fire fighter/firetrucks and a fire department came with the pumper truck. All the kids got to spray the hose and other cool stuff. :thumbsup2 This year will be a fun one too! :goodvibes

gaylean - yes, I do want to go to Hawaii.

We went to Maui a few years ago so we can tell you some fun places to go, if you haven't been there already. We are going to the park to I'll be back later. I have been promised some pictures!

Really goofy in more ways than one ...

For some reason, a song that I heard in Topsiders got stuck in my head, "On the Open Road," from the "Goofy Movie."

I finally bought the song on the iTunes store. I have found, for the past few days, that when I get on the bus to go to work, and listen to the song, I have immediate emotional recall of being on the ship and leisurely breakfasts in Topsiders.

For some reason, this goofy song, helps me to recall and relax.
Almost the same effect for us too because before the cruise, that movie was one of Tyler's favorites. He was so surprised to hear that song on board, so now when we watched the movie after returning home, it made us think of the cruise. And most of the songs we heard at breakfast at Topsiders are ones we listen to in the car all the time (yup, tons of Disney CDs floating around the car), so now they mean so much more to us when we play them. :goodvibes

we've never been - i like the thought of a cruise unless someone can convince me one island to go to. I hate moving and repacking etc.
I am not afraid to fly anymore. Afraid of the prices, but hey, as John says - we can make more!

2. The Soarin boarding video features Patrick Warburton, who played Puddy on “Seinfeld” and was the voice of Kronk in Disney’s 2000 film The Emperor's New Groove - The New Groove Edition and its related spin-offs. (He appears as Puddy in "Seinfeld" episodes included on Seinfeld - Season 6 and Seinfeld - Season 8.)

UNDERDOG Patrick Warburton as Cad stars in a story about a beagle that finds himself with unimaginable powers and the ability to speak after an accident in a mysterious lab of Dr. Simon Barsinister (Peter Dinklage), a maniacal scientist.

You and Daniel are correct!!

GO BAMA!!

Samantha should have been Samantha Elizabeth Carlin for SEC initials....works for ball and accountants.....she is SPC for Paige though.
