Good morning all. Spent almost an hour reading the rest of the old thread. Thinking I might go back to sleep for an hour before having to go to Tyler's karate school for his graduation to orange belt. It should only last a few minutes and then I can come back to bed for a while. $50 to graduate, which I think is crazy, but at least it's good for his self-esteem, so that makes it worth it.

Well, I'm torn. I want to have it on video, because I know he'd get a kick out of seeing himself in action, so I'm taking my video camera, but then I won't have pictures to post, so I'm going to also try to juggle the camera as well.

I definitely miss my camera that was lost when I left a bag behind on the plane on our last trip to Florida last June. Like most cameras, it had the option to do video, with sound. My current camera does video as well, but NO SOUND! I never knew cameras do that without sound, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. Such a bummer. I was hoping to replace it before the cruise, but that's definitely not happening.

What's Disney Splurge?

it's a show on the Travel channel following several families doing Disney splurge style.
A couple that rented the yacht at GF and had dinner at Victoria and Alberts.
A family in the royal suite at AKL and hired a VIP tour guide for the parks.
A family doing Costa Rica by Adventures by Disney - that is what I want to do next!

I broke down and ordered a cheapie Canon video camera. We have one from 2000 from when we got married, but of course I don't think they are in production any more and the battery is missing. I am sure racking up the charge card for this trip! I threw in a 2gb memory card for the camera as well.
This is going to be one expensive trip!

Hi V - I bought a pkg of 2 sheets at Wal-mart, but I don't remember the cost. Not sure which would be the better deal.

I need to buy some more.

The price of magnetic sheets is outrageous.

I have opted for a different route. I have printed our signs on very heavy premium satin finish photo paper. They came out excellently.

I bought a roll of magnetic "tape" at Office Max (1 inch by 10 feet).

If I stick on bits of magnet now, the signs will not pack flat, and might crush in packing, so I will snip and stick the magnetic bits once we're in our room.

In total, it worked out cheaper, not that the photo paper was cheaper, but on a per sign cost it was far less than magnetic sheets. Plus, I have some good satin finish photo paper (which I prefer to glossy) for printing quality photos after the trip.

Congratulations to Tyler. DS tested last night, $55.00, tough to pay at this time, but we do not have to pay for the month of May. We start traveling on the 2nd. No free time left, and so much too do!

I remember when I was pregnant with Samantha our A/C konked out and it was 5 LONG and HOT days until they installed a new one!

We plan on sending things out for washing as well, except the unmentionables.

DH is renting a tux, He isn't sure he needs a sport coat.

Is anyone else that is bringing or renting a tux packing a sport coat?

Bring both!! I did that when I took DSis to the Perfectly Princess Tea, and it was a little tough, but I was so glad to have both pictures and video.



OK, I'm totally in packing mode now, aside from the fact that I'm on the computer atm. I have to start the ironing portion of the packing.

One cruise question though!!!

If we do laundry onboard, do we need quarters, or do the machines just charge our onboard accounts??

Our flight leaves Sat. morning at 6:50 and arrives in Orlando shortly after 9:00. I never cared about getting to the port early but this time is different! I can't wait to get there!
