Lisa, I am fairly happy about the new smoking rules, I rarely went to the clubs at night because I couldn't take the smokiness. Now I will be there more often.

John - that is such great news! I cried as I read that. Continued prayers and love sent out to all of you.

BTW - how are you feeling?

I think this will be the same for me.

Yea..we covered this earlier...So anyone on Nans side of the boat is on the port side...safety for all the non smokers

Just to make sure I understand, the Cove Cafe is on the Starboard side..then new Non smoking side....correct??

That makes a lot of good sense. If he can have access to his special place when he needs it at home....then maybe he can visualize being in there when he is not at home and get the same effect. That's an awesome idea to give him a place where he can go and be calm and in control. That will help him feel better about himself. That works!
His teachers have also created an area where he can go when he can't seem to regain control. :thumbsup2

Looking forward to picking Tyler up in a few hours. Hoping he's in better spirits. I didn't mention this because it made me too sad, but last time I was with Tyler, on the way to his dad's house on Wednesday, he had sort of a breakdown. :sad1:

I am sorry Tyler is having such a hard time. My mom was telling me that every year I would have a breakdown before school started saying the same things he is saying. Everyone would stare at me and call me names (I have a shaking disorder that is rare). I don't remember hateing school but she said I must have blocked it out. She said she also would cry alot for me as she didn't know what to do. You are doing a great job with him and when he is 20 he may not even remember all of this. My mom and I are very close b/c of her support for me.

Table Mates- When I reach for something or jerk while I am drinking, that is normal for me. I promise I am not a freak but you will notice me shaking, I can't control it much. The only known thing to make it better is alcohol and I don't drink.

Nan, there is shampoo and Conditioner in the Gym showers?

I have plans to make visit there, I don't mind not bumping into the shower walls while i get clean and since I am used to the handicap stateroom showers, the gym is where I am headed.

Pj

pretty sure there are, there must be, you don't drag your bathroom stuff to the spa for a massage, or whatever.

A good day today, even though most of it was again at the hospital.

Manuel continued to improve all day, came off of medications, stopped bleeding, and . . .

OPENED HIS EYES!

Even though there was no consciousness there, it was an amazing improvement. Our favorite nurse, Neil was there tonight, and told us that he has NEVER seen anyone go through this many blood products and survive.

My brother went through 76 units of blood products! That includes blood, plasma, and platelets. Unbelievable. We are hoping and praying he holds this improvement for more than a day, and continues to make additional improvement.

Thanks to everyone for all of your well wishes and prayers!
Oh my gosh, John that's truly amazing! Great news! :grouphug:

I did not see this....did you guys?

The Disney Cruise Line has joined several other major lines by announcing updated smoking regulations for its ships. Starting Saturday, April 19 on the Wonder, and Sunday, April 20 on the Magic, the new policy extends the no-smoking policy to every indoor area, including the clubs in the adult entertainment districts on Deck 3 forward (Diversions, Cadillac Lounge, Beat Street, etc.). Smoking is still allowed on guests' private verandahs. The outdoor smoking areas have been moved from port to starboard. Those are the deck 4 promenade, and outdoor areas on decks 9 and 10. The comfy smoking area immediately outside the entrance to the Cove Cafe on Deck 9 forward has been moved to the opposite side of the deck, as it was on the port side. As always, smoking is not allowed anywhere near the Mickey Pool.

Monica told us last week :goodvibes

Hi guys, I guess I'm first back from the dismeet. It was really nice and the 2 hours absolutely flew by. We took up most of the upstairs room there were so many of us. The kids had a blast, the food was good, but expensive! Most everyone is at DL now, we came home as we are overwhelmed with stuff to do.

Sorry, I was remiss in my photography duty (talking, talking, talking, talking), but here's one:

Oh, his dad sees it. He still insists, "Oh, he'll come around". When I told the OT that, she said, "OK, well, if he wants to live in La La Land, Tyler will keep floundering and struggling." She's really mad at his dad's denial and is furious that he hasn't been to OT yet. I told his dad that and he told me he wants to come to the next appointment on Wednesday to talk to her about why she insists on meds. DUH! I think she'll enjoy sinking her teeth into him and he'll run out of there with his tail between his legs. :rotfl2:

I can't help but always wonder how against the meds the ex is or is it that he is against anything you want or think may work just to be obstinate?:confused3

Chocolate covered matzo is indescribable. It is dark chocolate and the matzo is crunchy. Though it sound bizarre it's incredible.

Indescribable may be right!

I
Monday night, the 2nd seder night is also the anniversary (Yahrzeit) of my brother's death in 1972. So passover is very bittersweet for me. Very fond memories coupled with tragic ones..

EEEEKKKK, between this and Sukie getting sick I'm thinkin stay in and curl up with a warm blanket. This is sad and so young (both of you!) I lost a brother at a young age too, it is a terrible loss to associate with a special holiday.

HELLO FROM ANAHEIM!!!:thumbsup2
:

Now I know what "Like Marie" means... duh, I thought of Marie from the Aristocats:scared:

OPENED HIS EYES!
!

WOW, John and Amy some good news!!!

His teachers have also created an area where he can go when he can't seem to regain control. :thumbsup2

Holly, this may be a useful tool for the couselors at kids club. Let them know and plan it out with them, but don't make it time out punishment, just a cool down area. name is something positive.

Yea..we covered this earlier...So anyone on Nans side of the boat is on the port side...safety for all the non smokers

Nan's side according to Steph :goodvibes I'll believe it when I'm on board;)

I just got some weird anti dis too! I thought I accidentally clicked on something. What was that?

OK, something very crazy just happened that I've never experienced. After sending Lisa (DL5) a PM, I tried to click on an old PM to see if I could start deleting some old ones, but instead of going to the PM I was taken to the "Unofficial DIS troublemakers" message board! Then I clicked my "back" button and tried to click on page 2 of my PMs....same result. I went back to our thread and tried to click on "Post Reply" with the same result. Tried to click "Quote" to reply to a post.....SAME RESULT. What the heck?! I've never even heard of that board, so are the DIS mods trying to tell me something? :rotfl: I ended up shutting down my computer and restarting and it's fine now. Strange, huh? Or maybe I'm hallucinating! :lmao:
