I didn't use the ship stuff on the last cruise....is it any good?

So there is a ? I had.....is the stuff they give you on the ship any good? do they give you new bottles every day like they do in hotels? my hair gets really dry with salt water so I need heavy duty conditioner......

I am going to try it out tonight, need something to get me revved for the cruise, I don't have the fluttery stomach I normally have at this point.

Holly, I understand how you are feeling, sweetie.

They give you one bottle of each at the beginning of the cruise and they do no automatically replace them. I haven't asked for replacements so don't know if they will when asked.

Pj

eww, I don't like that stuff. I am not worried about zip locks, but my bag is full of junk, hairspray, gel, shaving cream, etc.

why not V....smell or the way it leaves your hair?

I always bring ziplocs with us for that misc thing you might need.....put leftovers in, bringing stuff to the beaches, etc.

I didn't think it was that bad. Also they have the good stuff in the rain forest room showers. and the other showers that you can use that are in the gym. Those showers are bigger and easier to use than the shower in the room too. I might make a habit of bailing on our room for showers and letting Paul get the kiddos cleaned up and I can shower in peace.

It may not be the best stuff in the world, but for us it works. And we have always had this stuff replaced in our room. I can't think that there would be a difference between the cats from 4-12, I know cat 1-3 get better products too.

I am totally out of the loop. I am just now trying to get organized for the trip. Not sure my posts are getting on either. Hope I will be able to find other posters on the ship. I just mostly lurk on the boards. less than 3 weeks now!!!

I do the exact same thing with the showers upstairs....I love them!! So relaxing!!
One night I fell asleep in those lounge chairs outside the shower and almost missed dinner. My whole family was looking for me and thought I was lost or overboard!!

I think 1-3 get a bigger selection of products and bigger bottles....but still the H2O brand.....and I love it!!

Holly- just sending you big hugs. I get depressed at the state of my house sometimes too.

I read a little earlier about the poker tournament- I think DH and DBro want to participate. I hope there's still some room! I checked page 1 of the thread, but it didn't mention who's in charge. Can someone help me here??

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Gaylean93 graciously offered to be in charge of poker. She was hoping to get more participants. You can pm her.:thumbsup2 DH is off playing poker with the quys now. Hope he wins for a change.

Nan, there is shampoo and Conditioner in the Gym showers?

I have plans to make visit there, I don't mind not bumping into the shower walls while i get clean and since I am used to the handicap stateroom showers, the gym is where I am headed.

WELCOME TO THE THIEVES!

I live south of seattle, so not a very big metropolis area for ethnic purchases. We might head to Bellevue tomorrow and I'll pick up some then. I have never seen handmade matzo either.

Sorry about your brother....

If you have never handmade matzo, I will set some aside for you. It is indeed very special. Perhaps we can enjoy some one morning on deck, possibly the Cove Cafe with butter, jam or honey and some very good coffee!

(not nan...but....)Yes, there are dispensers of shampoo and conditioner. I don't think they are loaded with the H2O products though...I bring them from the room....

CABO Cruise Business

I've been undecided about what to do, DH really does not care much for Medano beach. I've been trying to find a good pool set up with a non-death defying beach. I've read on cruisecritic that the only hotel with day use for cruisers is ME, which is adult oriented and charges $30-50 per person toward purchases of food and drink. I think I found a pretty good rate at a new all inclusive (Riu Santa Fe $160/2a2c), but we have that dreaded one person too many for the room. If it wasn't AI, we'd make it work, but I doubt they'd give us an extra bracelet. If anyone reading out there thinks an AI with lots of pools and food and drinks sounds good, and might have less than 4 in their group, will you pm me?

It is might quiet around here, wonder how the meet went.

Hi we are from Ankeny and also going on the "Cruise" Leaving on the 9th Hope to meet you on board!! Terry and Lacy

A good day today, even though most of it was again at the hospital.

Manuel continued to improve all day, came off of medications, stopped bleeding, and . . .

OPENED HIS EYES!

Even though there was no consciousness there, it was an amazing improvement. Our favorite nurse, Neil was there tonight, and told us that he has NEVER seen anyone go through this many blood products and survive.

My brother went through 76 units of blood products! That includes blood, plasma, and platelets. Unbelievable. We are hoping and praying he holds this improvement for more than a day, and continues to make additional improvement.

Thanks to everyone for all of your well wishes and prayers!

I did not see this....did you guys?

The Disney Cruise Line has joined several other major lines by announcing updated smoking regulations for its ships. Starting Saturday, April 19 on the Wonder, and Sunday, April 20 on the Magic, the new policy extends the no-smoking policy to every indoor area, including the clubs in the adult entertainment districts on Deck 3 forward (Diversions, Cadillac Lounge, Beat Street, etc.). Smoking is still allowed on guests' private verandahs. The outdoor smoking areas have been moved from port to starboard. Those are the deck 4 promenade, and outdoor areas on decks 9 and 10. The comfy smoking area immediately outside the entrance to the Cove Cafe on Deck 9 forward has been moved to the opposite side of the deck, as it was on the port side. As always, smoking is not allowed anywhere near the Mickey Pool.

WOW, how wonderful....I hope you and Amy get a good night rest tonight.

Great news John. Manuel is definitely a fighter. Sounds like if anyone can pull through this that it will be him.:thumbsup2
