Every time Ian has a clever post I keep thinking we should change these threads into a book! I wonder if it would be possible...kinda of like a screenplay or something and then we can have it for memories sake. When I have ideas like this I wish I didn't have a J-O-B!

Jackie and I got to ride in the Lillie Belle tonight! Just the two of us with our private cast member guide! It was verrrrry cool!

And we had a scrumptious dinner at Naples with 40 other DISsers...

And we got our cruise lanyards from Edna Mode (Kelly) and they are VERY cool...

but HAPPY!!!!

That makes sense. In 2006, when we visited Naples, Italy, those hand gestures were quite common.

Good morning everyone! Jackie is beautifying herself, it's my turn next and then we're going to have breakfast and get on the road. What a fun boondoggle this trip has been!

I got some great pictures of everyone at the DISmeet which I'll post over on our private site so as not to accidentally break anyone's anonymity.

Bubba wins the prize for best hairdo!

Jackie and I had a charmed visit to DL after the dinner. We walked into the park just as the Parade of Dreams was starting and had a great spot to watch it in front of the train station. As soon as it was over, we went up and asked if it would be possible to ride in the Lillie Belle. It was perfect timing--the train pulling the LB was just getting ready to pull out of the station so we hurried to the car. We were the only ones in it, along with a cute young CM named Mike who rode with us. It's such a neat thing to do and all you have to do is ask!

We rode on Pirates and had a little dessert, then found a great spot to watch the fireworks. The only bummer was that they stopped the fireworks because of wind, but we got to see most of it. Then we rode Buzz and made our way out of the park and back to the hotel. I REALLY wanted some Kettle Corn, but the line was way too long. Oh well, it's not like I won't be coming back.

OK, it's my turn to get ready.

It was so fun to see everyone at the DISmeet and to say when we left, "See you in 3 WEEKS!" YeeeeeHaaaawww!

Thanks so much to Kelly for the great job she did on our lanyards! I wore mine all evening and felt like a real VIP!

It's "permanent" straightening, also called "Thermal Reconditioning." Your hair is stick straight and the "old growth" stays that way. Obviously the new growth comes in curly, so you have to have it done every 4-6 months, depending on how fast your hair grows. And you often can't really style it curly because the straightened hair sometimes won't hold a curl.I'll send you some before and after pix later. I've gotta run to church.

Ok... so here's the deal...

I got sick 2 weeks ago... it turned into bronchitis and I've been coughing my brains out ever since then... I'm sleeping really crappy (not getting to sleep until dawn most nights - I just can't sleep when I feel this bad...) I'm on antibiotics, an inhaler, cough meds with codeine and my mom is making me slather on enough Vicks to suffocate a small country...

& this is my quandry....

I'm supposed to go down to Jersey tomorrow to work... it's not my regular job... I fill in from time to time for a friend at their family company because their son has Cerebral Palsey and when he's off from school, she has to take off.

Usually I've got no problem... but I'm not kicking this yet and I just know that if I push it's going to just make it worse for me and I'm afraid it's going to get worse...

My brain is telling me to stay here at home and go back to the Dr. on Monday... so I have to call my friends and tell them I cannot come down. Which means that they have to get a temp, which is fine, but they won't have coverage until they can send someone...

& I feel guilty... big time...

But I do have a once in a lifetime cruise to go on in a couple of weeks and I'm afraid if I get to the port sick, they are going to turn me away and I'm going to get stuck waving goodbye to you and my mom (cause she ain't gettin off if I have anything to say about it...) from Grills...

Somebody tell me to stay home... please...

And Angie... can you write me a note... I don't think I'm going to make it to school on Monday...

Michelle, head to the doctors and no driving to New Jersey.

My brother is going through exactly what you are, but about three days ahead of you and has spend the last two nights in the hospital, he would not take care of himself sooner, so ended at the hospital Thursday night, with lung issues. He is heading home today, but will still have several day before he is feeling better.
