A quick pop-in to say HI! I"m bound & determined to catch up with you crazy folks TONIGHT! My internet wasn't working at home Saturday & Sunday, so this evening after supper, I called AT&T to have them check into it. As their automated system was supposedly checking my line, it magically started working again! :confused3 I'm still making somebody come out and check though.

Hi all, just got back from a fun adventure at Fisherman's warf with another disser - yummy sourdough!!!! Big news here is that several climbers scaled the Golden Gate bridge to put up signs -- protest signs. The whole town is in an uproar about the torch coming through. I'd love to go see it, but the city is going to be a zoo and I need to change hotels that day anyway. I'm signing off to rehearse my presentation.

Can I just say thanks for the overnighters who DIDN'T make me read 50 pages last night.....10 was good.

:) :) :)

for the art of entertaining series...do you have to sign up for those or just show up?

Just show up several of us will be there every morning.

darn it, I think we are heading out by that time on Thursday for HMB/dinner in the city, weekend in Shasta County for a gokart race.
If some time frees up between now and then call me, short notice is ok, just call if you feel like it :goodvibes
Serious protests in London, Paris and soon to be SF against China human rights. Scary stuff, Marr, no flame for us...too much controversy I think.

I think I'll blow off work and come with you guys! :lovestruc

CHECK THIS OUT http://www.eyeslipsface.com/
A friend of mine told me about this today and it is a great deal. A great time to stock up on brushes and nail polish, ect...
Apparently the make-up line E.L.F. ( Eyes, Lips, and Face) has been
bought out by Nordstrom and will be re-packaged with the Nordstrom name
on it. They are getting rid of all the make-up in ELF packaging. They are selling everything for $1. yes that's
right - one dollar. you do have to pay shipping, they have powder,
mascara, brushes, nail polish,
you name it .. Just thought I'd pass along the good deal.
Also, if you use the coupon code: CAROLINA you will get $7.50 off your
first $15 of your purchase. And if you and spend $53 before tax, you get
free shipping with coupon code: SHIP45

I am skimming and scrolling fast to get back to my rehearsal and I thought this was about face lifts. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Delta Update... I sent email to Delta about the baggage. This is there exact reply.
Thank you for contacting us.

Due to rising fuel costs and business decisions reflecting today?s competitive landscape, Delta will begin charging $25 for a second checked bag for Domestic passengers traveling on or after May 1st. This fee and baggage limitation affect non medallion members travelling on a economy ticket.

SkyMiles Medallion members, as yourself, and First/Business Class passengers will be exempt from this fee and will continue to be allowed to check up to 2 bags at no additional charge.

Also, we do offer an exception for Medallion members and First/ Business Elite customers. Please keep in mind that this is not a rule, but an exception that may be subject to availability and weight restrictions on the flight that you are on. This exception is for Delta aircraft only.

This exception will allow each passenger that falls into the above mentioned category, one additional piece of baggage at no charge and an exemption from the overweight fee for each bag that is 51-70 lbs.

Rarely does the weight and baggage issue keep us from offering this 3rd checked bag exception but, please be aware that it is possible.

Again, thank you for writing. We appreciate your selection of Delta and will always welcome the opportunity to be of service.

I called a couple of days ago and not only did they change my flights to make it harder to get to the airport, but the good news is we leave prior to the bag restriction so DD and I get to bring and extra bag and stroller. We were already travelling extra light on this trip, but it's nice to have the option. DH leaves a week later, so he'll be restricted too.

OK....sitting at my desk crying. Thank goodness nearly everyone has gone home. It's been such a long hard week...doing two jobs while sick...I can't wait for this trip! :grouphug:
 I hope things have improved for you by now.

Ok...

Silly Question time...

Do they have munchies and stuff on board like pretzels and such...

Sometimes I just have to snack on something...

back from the health nurse ...

The girls ended up getting their Hep A shots.

Shannon got her Hep A and Hep B.

I got my Hep A, Hep B and Tetanus. Remember, I'm the one that has a needle phobia!!

Nice thing is that the Hep A and Hep B were the same price as just getting our Hep A and, of course, the Tetanus was free. So Shannon and I got extra vaccinations for the same price we were willing to pay for just the one. Couldn't really hurt... Other than my arm which is aching right now.

The girls did pretty good. My DD6 was funny though. On the way there she was talking about how she was going to be tough and she wasn't scared and she was going to show her little sister how it was done "because [she's] done this before." We get there and Shaelyn (DD6) let out a big scream when she got poked that almost made her little sister cry! Kaleigh (DD3) doesn't want to go next but she sits still and takes it, but lets out a little cry as she gets poked. But it was almost a cry done because her sister cried before so she thought she had to do it too.

After needles we decided to head to DQ for some ice cream and onion rings to make the pain go away. A Tin roof blizzard sure can make you forget all about the needles - at least it worked on me.... ;)

Looks like TB wins the Steve Stamkos lottery.

After a really hard day today, I have decided that I am in desperate need of this upcoming vacation. I need to check out of reality for a couple of weeks.

Hello everyone. Back from the doctor. I have no time to chat right now but I did ask the doctor about the shots and she sad no shots needed. The kids get Hep A at 1, 2, in between 4 and 6 and again in between 8 and 10. I aked her about the adults and she said she didn't think they were needed. The need for tetnus shots are not any greater in Mexico than here.

Interesting...as if they can fit him under their salary cap.....although they did let Richards go....

Should be a real interesting set of first round playoffs....here's hoping Ottawa & Detroit are not 4 and done.....

With Richards gone I don't think it will be a problem.

As for the playoffs... Well the Canucks imploded pretty much like I figured they would. Interesting a friend of mine e-mailed my prediction back in June 2007 for the Canucks this year and I nailed it. I had said that they would ride Luongo too much and unless they picked up some grit and scoring they would have a hard time scoring goals to get them into the playoffs. So if I could have predicted that back in June 2007, why couldn't the Canucks managment and coaching see it too?? It was so sad to see Trevor Linden go out like that.

This year I am hoping for Calgary (my longshot and mainly because I really like Jarome Iginla as he is a class act), and Montreal (Carey Price is from down the road in Williams Lake and I think it woudl be great for the Habs to win while the Leafs are golfing - what can I say? I'm from the West, TO is a swear word out here...).

If you don't have a bunch of magnets to cut up and glue onto the corners of pictures, you can buy magnetic dots and strips and even rolls of it at Walmart of Michaels. And it already has the adhesive on it. The firrst year we cruised, we made pictures on the computer, printed them out on card stock or glossy paper, and stuck squared of magnets on the corners, it worked just fine!
That's what I use too. I bought a roll of the magnetic tape for $1 at Dollar Tree and still have it somewhere. Very cheap, effective, and easy. :thumbsup2

:lmao: Toronto is hated the same here, even more so as in the Toronto game both Alfredsson and Fisher were knocked out with knee injuries....I do not hold out much hope for them in the playoffs as they have just been soooo inconsistent this year..

Detroit meanwhile still has Hasek...he can either be the Dominator or Gumby....we will just watch and see.....I like Calgary as well...that Phaneuf plays D like it should be...

Smart Car Day!
