is it a park?
When I lived in South Africa my Grandparents took me to Kruger N Park.....it was so fascinating. We saw many animals...and even a kill. Not nice.

One of Alex's friends from HS is studying abroad in S. Africa. She is studying environmental policy at Case Western, and is having just a great time over there.

here are the girls with Sophie....Samantha CAN'T WAIT.

Love that picture!

We're beginning to think about next year's 40th wedding anniversary trip.:scared1:
John would very much like to do a train journey accross Canada, which we would link in with many other places to visit.
Have any of you been on one of these epic rail journeys?

This Panama Canal Cruise is OUR 40th wedding anniversary trip! We must be about the same age!

I think a train journey across Canada would be wonderful. We are considerring Hawaii for our trip next year. We were going to do Hawaii this year, until we decided on the Panama trip.

Another thing I would dearly love to do is a river cruise in Europe along the Loire or the Danube rivers. I would like to see the castles in Germany and France.

Me too. I am getting burned out by work. The patients are getting uglier acting by the day. I had to call 911 on a guy two weeks ago. He was outside at a driveup cussing and threatening me. LOL. I told him he would have to come in, because I wasn't gonna take any crap from him over a microphone. As he was coming around to come inside I called 911 and left the phone on the counter so they could hear. Well, he was the nicest guy all of the sudden. Kinda irritated me that he changed his tune. LOL. Maybe he could tell that I wasn't gonna take his crap. LOL. So, I told the 911 dispatcher that everything looked like it was going to be okay, and hung up. The guy was nice as could be after threatening to come in a kick my a**. He even apologized, so all turned out well. But this kind of stuff is happening more often. Too often.

There V. Thanks for listening. :lmao: Send me a bill.

WHY would anyone do this to a pharmacist for crying out loud?

John - that was what I was looking for...the Soarin pin that is just Photobucket ---- I have it on a cd which would be better I am sure....I will try and find it.

That's the picture I was looking for!

We are now in the first floor waiting area. They told me the wrong place on my brother's floor. I wondered why no one showed up, and I was the only one there!

Surgery started about a half hour later than scheduled.

Just waiting now.

Unfortunately, I also have to watch the Beverly Hillbillies on the TV down here.:sad2:

night all, see you soon

My V . . . will we see you by noon?

I know you youngins are waxing nostalgic about records. But when thinking of vinyl vs CDs, anyone out there remotely close to my age will remember one thing:

.... Helping friends move their record albums, boxes and boxes of them ....

Got that image in your head? Now think about CD or just an iPod.

I WISH I was a youngin! One of my very best friends who now lives in LA had about 1,000 albums when he moved. Each one was in a plastic sleeve too!

Remember the turntables with the strobe so that you could play at EXACTLY 33.3 rpm? Remember buying the best cartridge? Remember if your floor jumped too much so did your album? Oh how much more difficult it was!

I am all caught up now. You guys really went nuts last night - even after I left! I think I am going to read for awhile now. Newest Steve Berry book.

Will check in later.

OVER 75 pages to catch up! What happened! Maybe everyone got their cabin assignments. Fingers crossed. Off to catch up.

John, which title are you reading?

Pj

Ps. hope things are going well today with Manuel. He is in my thoughts today.

Hey John.....thinking of you and Manuel today too! Let us know how it goes after you find out. Sending you positive prayers, pixie dust and hugs!

Jeeeeezzzz, I've been scrolling for 90 minutes! 75 pages since I logged off yesterday. Well, we had a nice day going to the tax lady wasn't as bad as usual, dinner with friends to celebrate our kids getting into our first choice schools and packing for my trip. Busy week, lots of lectures am taking 10 projects with me and lots of audio books.

I think that the Best Concert I ever saw was Louis Armstrong, at Disneyland, on Dixieland at Disneyland Night, in 1964. He was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Goosebump time. I was going to take Angie to see him, right after we met, but he was ill and the show was cancelled.:sad1:

OK between you and Angie - You guys win!

I had a Bobby Sherman lunch box in first grade

Here's a question....How do you become famous on My Space...I just don't understand how having "friends" makes you famous. I haven't heard of so many people that are in these reality shows and they all say Got their start on my space. I must be old cause I just don't understand

A comic who I did not work on my stage (didn't think he was funny enough or smart enough) started a my space page because he couldn't get any work. He accumulated 2 mill. friends who started reading his blog and buying his CD's. Now he's making movies and is all over the place. Still not funny!

LOL! Didn't Jenny Lind tour with Mozart?
Woody
:rotfl: :rotfl:
Were the Monkees the first Boy Band?
Woody
YES
Wasn't he one of the Sherman Brothers who wrote all the classic Disney songs?
Woody
Is your head just full of trivia?
You must be thinking about Long Duck Dong.
Woody
You answered my last question!
