I liked those tshirts...I may be ordering one for a night out. Who knows? I'll suprise you!

Gaylean you should renew your vows on this cruise and we can all wear our wigs and our not in rehab tshirts...and be your bridesmaids!

Rehab is for quitters! I would totally do that. I would love to have a funny wedding after the stress of the first.

I hear ya. I work at home so I get dressed to take the kids to school and then come home and change until I have to pick them up. I never wear make-up unless it is Friday and that's only because Jon takes me to lunch.

what kind of work do you do?

it didn't hold my interests tonight, so I switched over the bachelor london. i think I'm just too wiped out tonight to pay attention to anything with much of a story. it's also weird to see Jack, not as Jack :rolleyes1

Interesting you say that (Jack, not as Jack) since I found it kind of distracting at first because JD SOUNDED just like Jack, but certainly didn't look like him!

I'm starting to wonder if anyone else is really going to wear a wig. I can see you all laughing at me behind my back. I was thinking of buying a shirt as well.

I'm really a stay-at-home mom that has a job on the side. One of our friends owns his own business so I work part time for him. I just do data entry stuff and pay bills and send invoices. It is perfect because I still get to volunteer in the classes and be a co-leader at girlscouts and if the kids are sick I just go pick up work and come home.

sounds similar to what I do. I've been happily self employed doing accounting for start-ups for about 12 years now. I like being my own boss, and working lots or little as time with the kids has demanded. I work with clients until they are big enough to move everything in house and then I seem to always get another call and another new client appears. Just started a new one this week, the cycle continues.

What I like the most about it is that we can live off what Jon makes so my income is just fun money. I don't feel as stressed about it because I know I can quit at anytime if need be. The other good thing is that the summers are really slow so I don't work that much. And I have something to put on the resume if something dreadful were to happen.

yup yup & yup. that's the same for us too. I'm the vaca breadwinner, and the shopping for crap breadwinner & that darn retirement and college fund too, but I like to pretend they will never happen :rotfl:

I think of myself as mom first and the job is just a job, but if I have to I can work to support us too, but fortunately that hasn't been the case in a few years.

What does Jon do? I think you've heard me tell that Paul is an attorney, he works from our home too, we share an office, sometimes good sometimes not so good....

Jon is a manager at an Indian Casino. He is over training and writes the training manuals and "laws" of all the jobs. It's very exciting!!!

I always forget to tell people I work. I always say I'm a sahm.

I hear ya'. I'm going out of town on Thurs. to spend some time w/my sister, her husband, kids and grandkids down in central AZ at a resort. I'll probably be gone until Sunday. She says they have internet there but the connection isn't very good and besides, I don't think I'll have a lot of time to myself to get online, so I'll be hopelessly behind, I'm sure.

If, in between the banter, anybody posts a link or something important I should respond to, would you please PM it to me?

Thanks!

Absolutely! Right now all we have going is the PC tee shirts and the $1 make up. I'm assuming you have seen those and know about them. I bought both, btw.....so thanks to those who shared them.

Hi everyone, just checking in to let everyone know I am still alive, just been very busy with the boys and work. If anything has happened that I should know about, please PM me, as I am helplessly behind in my DIS reading. Still waiting quietly in a lifeboat, but hey, if worst case happens, at least I am gty a spot if the ship goes down!:confused3

sounds interesting, I'm clueless when it comes to casinos. Do you enjoy going and playing or do you guys stay away as it's like his work?

I don't like throwing my money away but if we go to Vegas we decide on an amount, like 100.00. After it is gone we stop. Usually we can play for awhile with that because we will win a little. He isn't really involved much in the casino so I don't think he thinks of it like work. We usually have more important things to do in vegas that doesn't involve slots.

I have to try to sleep. I'll talk to you guys tomorrow.
