No, my accomplishment was that I got everyone's w-2 and 1099's finished and paid the payroll and quarterly taxes. After the audit, then I can do K-1's which means, sometime in April I actually get to do my own taxes.

That sounded kind of whiney huh.. Sorry, annoyed controller here....

I'm sure everyone appreciated getting the W-2s and 1099s though so that is an accomplishment. I know appreciated getting mine!

BTW -- just made our final payment!!!! WE ARE REALLY GOING!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the PIF (paid in full) Club!

Jackie are you a Virgo?:goodvibes

Pj

Nope (Scorpio, Gemini rising). See, the Palo thing, it's more like a game of strategy than a compulsion :lmao:

Hello Everyone:

Not sure if I have posted on here for this cruise or not but wanted to say hello. As the date gets closer it seems to be coming more of a reality. We have cruised with DCL already and are so excited to be doing the Panama Canal cruise. There are five of us going on this cruise. Myself, my husband and our three little girls (almost 7, 9 and 11 years old). They would be very interested in writing to other girls their own age if anyone out there is interested.

.

Welcome. Sounds like you have a wonderful vacation planned around the cruise. :thumbsup2

How is that book? I have it on my Amazon wish list and I saw it in Barnes & Nobles the other night.

I'm loving it. I'll be using it tomorrow morning when I write out my grocery list. I plan on picking up the 8 foods you should eat every day:

1. Spinach (substitutes: Kale, Bok Choy, romaine lettuce)

2. Yogurt (live, active culture. substitues: Kefir, soy yogurt)

3. Tomatoes (substitues red watermelon, pink grapefruit, Japanese persimmon, papays, guava)

4. Carrots (substitues: sweet potatoe, pumpkin, butternut squash, yellow bell pappers, mango)

5. Blueberries (substitutes: purple grapes, prunes, raisins, strawberries)

6. Black beans (substitutes: peas, lentils, and pinto, kidney, fava or lima beans,.
7. Walnuts (substitutes: almonds, peanuts, pistachios, macadamia nuts)
.
8. Oats (substitutes: quinoa, flaxseed, wild rice.

Throw in some protein (such as salmon, turkey or lean beaf) and you've got it covered.

SCRAPBOOKING UPDATE!

Well tonight I finished designing and putting all the supplies and stuff together for 2 pages of our scrapbook. They are for our first full day of the cruise-Castaway Cay! Everything for the first two pages is spread out on my kitchen table.

Yeah! I can't wait for this project...and so glad it's on our first sea day...it will help with planning/taking photos all through the trip!

Will I drive you guys crazy if I post with that Blackberry??

post away!

OK, I have a confession to make,
I AM WEARING THE BOXERS THAT SOPHIA BEDAZZLED ALONG THE HEM!

THANKS SO MUCH FOR THAT HEARTY LAUGH TO FININS OFF THE DAY!
:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

Good luck with it. We had Molly in OT for the school year of 2nd grade. It did help, but frankly unless she was getting daily support it wasn't and didn't make a dent in the situtation. We paid for it out of pocket at $150 per session so we opted the next school year to move towards another idea, tp increase her muscle strenght (which was a big part of the issue) the year of
3rd grade we had her in horseback riding lessons. This came with a hour + of stable work before and after. That of course is where she developed her love of horses. Lots of what we learned at OT that year was common sense and I wish I had better self disipline as I can work with her, but I hate to exercise myself so there in lies much of our problem.

This is probably a stupid question, but what is OT?

You know the saying...the cobbler's kids go barefoot (I hope that is how the saying goes, I always mess things like that up:lmao: )?! My dad is my accountant so mine usually get done in June or so:confused3 I am still waiting on quite a few 1099's actually....so once again I bet they will be done in May or June!

Understood - my dad did construction - took 10 years to complete a bathroom remodel - then they just started over as everything was out of style.

My daughter had March, July and November as her time off. November cruise rates are really low it seems but there is always the chance of bad weather. Many times our November vacation was filled with rain. March a lot of schools are on spring break so places were crowded. It is not too hot of weather either. That leaves July when everything is packed and really hot. Now it didn't stop us from going places at all. I am just looking forward to a long wandering vacation.

I was thinking maybe drive one week out across a few states then a week back. Or take the Amtrak from Emeryville to Chicago and back stopping along the way.

American Girl store alert in Chicago...a must visit. :goodvibes

Oh, she knows. Like I said, life is too short. We all had a good laugh about it, and on Monday she will probably tell her teacher. Then her teacher will tell the others in the staff lounge that the School Board President wears decorated underwear.

So it goes . . .

Ahh the price we have to pay to be good parents!

Has everyone finished their taxes yet?

I just completed and filed ours. Yea - done for another year :cool1:

Done last Saturday, and my State refund is pending to post direct deposit today. Still waiting on the federal and am hoping it arrives before my PIF credit card bill!

I guess I can go to bed at 1 am or so, in about 12 hours I get to leave to see Hannah in 3d. I told Amy I am taking my iPod. I am listening to a Steven King book that has me pretty riveted (or rhinestoned)- The Talisman. Wonder if I can hear a couple of chapters with little girls screaming, and the scent of sweet cotton candy perfume in the air . . . ?

I'm sure everyone appreciated getting the W-2s and 1099s though so that is an accomplishment. I know appreciated getting mine!

Thanks, really! I had people who had lost theirs after 1 day of having them. I wanted to ask them if they needed me to sew it into their backpack for them. Sorry, my angry voice is getting the best of me.

I really appreciate the positive reinforcement!

So, our house sat on the market for 4 months with no offers....put it on Craig's list for rent and after 3 days we have had 15+ calls with people interested in it and now have 3 people who all want it...hmmm, I think we put it on for too cheap, but it should be rented by the end of the week and a big burden will be lifted! :cool1:

live and learn, you can always raise the rent in a reasonable time period. Good thing it's rented now.

Goodnight everybody! Have to get up in a few hours.

I guess I'll have to try and watch Lost tomorrow night after Tyler's in bed. Not something I'd watch with him around.

Hey were you poking fun at all of us anything goes movie parents? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Ok - number 2 is a problem - can't stand yogurt in any form and number 3 is only doable when Watermelon is in season, I love grapefruits but my cholesterol meds apparently don't.

Though I plan to talk to my doctor about stopping those so I can eat grapefruit on the cruise. DH doesn't think she'll go for it...

I do currently eat 4,5 and 7 everyday.

Does it give you what to eat in restaurants too?

At least for me. I am back at the sewing machine.:thumbsup2 So I need to ask two things: one, can we keep the talk here to a minimum since I won't be on as much :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: and two, if you would like a Fish Extender please PM me. The first should be ready to go out next week. Right now all I need to know is that you want one. I will PM you with the other info we will need when we are ready to ship. For the cost, story and pictures go to PJ's website it is all there.

Carol

WOOHOO Carol!

So happy for you!!

Karen
