Hello Everyone:

Not sure if I have posted on here for this cruise or not but wanted to say hello. As the date gets closer it seems to be coming more of a reality. We have cruised with DCL already and are so excited to be doing the Panama Canal cruise. There are five of us going on this cruise. Myself, my husband and our three little girls (almost 7, 9 and 11 years old). They would be very interested in writing to other girls their own age if anyone out there is interested.

Unfortunately, I haven't read very many of the posts on this board. Not sure if there has been a discussion about the possible movies playing or not but we are interested in hearing if anyone knows what might be playing.

We got a call from DCL this past week asking if we were still interested in a category 3 room. We jumped at the opportunity. When we booked we could only get a category 4 room but really wanted a category 3. In December 2006, we did two back to back cruises. We had a category 3 for the first ten days of the holiday cruise and then had to switch to a category 4 for the next four day cruise due to availability. There was such a difference between those two rooms.

We have booked our shore excursions; however, the sea lion encounter is full so we could only get four of the five of us into that one. Sure hope another spot comes available.

Not sure of all the plans everyone has for this cruise but upon taking a quick scan of the postings it looks like there is a lot planned.

Take care and see you soon. We leave in three months today. We have rented a house in Florida for one week prior to the cruise and a room at the Grand Californian for one week after the cruise.

Welcome aboard Sandra!

I looked at your signature, and we have missed you on cruises TWICE in December of 05, and December of 06 by ONE week! We were on the week before you and your family.

My Sophia is 7 now, but will be eight in two weeks. There are some other girls I believe close to your girl's ages on this cruise too.

OK, I have a confession to make, and I have to tell you guys as I try to catch up on 20 or so pages . . .

As we were on our way up to the Basketball game, I told Amy, I hope that we do not get into an accident. She asked me "Why, are you not wearing clean underwear"? (is that the first thing you all would have thought to say to your husbands too?)

I told her no honey, I was however in a real hurry when I took my shower this morning, and grabbed my clothes. I didn't notice this until I was changing my shirt to go to the game . . .

I AM WEARING THE BOXERS THAT SOPHIA BEDAZZLED ALONG THE HEM!

Plain white with multiple rhinestone colors all around.

No way was I going to go into a stall and drop those babies down to my ankles tonight!

Cavaliers won, and beat the Clippers - Sophia got to be a courtside kid and go down on the court before the game, and my bedazzled boxers stayed in my Levis!

:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:
But, cool that Sophia got to go on the court. Did she enjoy that?

The outdoor adventure in PV is full (no reservations available). There are various things that are full. Anything else you want me to check the availability on?

Sandra

Thanks for looking at that Sandra. I was so panicked over excursions being full I didn't even welcome you to the group!!!! So Welcome! My DD's will be 6 & 9 (almost 10) so right around your's ages. I know Nan has a yahoo group set up for the kids, but I don't think much is happening with it yet.

Oh, and thanks to all who helped alleviate my panic. I only want 1 excursion and I was almost devastated when I thought my chances of doing it were over...note to self: don't jump the gun on panic!:lmao:

You've just described Tyler to a "T". That's exactly him....in addition to all his other issues.

Holly, that's tough, I didn't realize you also had to deal with the motor skills stuff with Tyler. I've been blessed with Molly cheery disposition in that she loves everyone and everyone loves her. She never gets mad, well maybe at Wilson every now and then. But we've never had disipline issues with her she just was agreeable and did what was asked of her. Back at ya babe

I, we, don't know the first thing about parenting. At all. Have we done everything wrong? John and I think so.
We have a sassy kid, who is 5 but thinks she is Amber (my sis 23).
We have a wanna be....to that sassy kid.

Johnny is Johnny......he's a guy, "whatever you want V"!

my Geeks, I hope, will understand, how do I give my girls "everything" that I never had and still make them appreciate it?

Will you cut that out!

We think you guys do great. How many other dads sit on the floor at AKL and do crayon rubbings with their girls for hours?

Your girls are going to be just fine, because both of you are good people. The most important thing you teach is the example you set.

SCRAPBOOKING UPDATE!

Well tonight I finished designing and putting all the supplies and stuff together for 2 pages of our scrapbook. They are for our first full day of the cruise-Castaway Cay! Everything for the first two pages is spread out on my kitchen table. DH just gave me the "look"! He knows that from now to the cruise, that scrapbooking has taken over the kitchen table and counters................again!
:thumbsup2

Okay, on to the next day!

Take pics we are dying to see the progress in action :goodvibes

So, I was looking through Taylor's baby book with her, and I am mortified to admit, it just stops at 2 months! She kept looking in other books, but nope, nada, just nothing after 2 months :sad2: Poor kiddo, at least with help, I'll have PC book done!!! Thank you for setting this up...I can't remember how do we let you know we are interested? Thanks

Well, It is 11:30pm here on the East Coast. I am going to sleep. Tomorrow all day at church and bowling.....Will I drive you guys crazy if I post with that Blackberry??

naw, a blackberry post is better than no post I say. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I can't wait for this! I will at least have a scrapbook to show people before two years after the cruise.:scared1: I am working on my last cruise all day and only got 8 pages done.

I worked on my last cruise scrapbook today for about 3 hours and didn't even finish one page!

You are so welcome. I was also relieved to know that maybe I shouldn't panic just yet about the sold out excursions.

I have contacted with the person responsible for the yahoo group for kids. I hope they meet some girls on there. In the past, my girls have emailed other girls prior to the cruise and it was so exciting for them to meet onboard.

Oh John, that's too funny for words! Are you sure you wanted to admit that to all of us crazy women?! And you know none of us will ever let you live it down, even the men!

Life's too short to worry about such things!

If it gave you all a chuckle, it was OK. Amy said I had to tell you all after we got home.

John, did you just admit to wearing jewelry on your boxers????? :scared1: You are a way better daddy to you daughter than my husband would ever be. That my friend was truely a gift to your child. One she will never forget or forget to remind you of as you grow old and gray...:dance3:

Did Sophia get a kick out of that? Just watch she will be making all kinds cute boxers soon. Or did you tell her? Maybe not I guess you know how kids like to tell other people all kinds of juicy stuff about their parents. Never forget the time my daughter was very young and told the grocery checker that mommy and daddy "were nakedbutts". :scared1: The butt is no longer in my life thankfully but that crazy moment in the store still is.

Thank you. That is so cool that we have been close to the same cruises in the past and now we will meet. There seems to be a few people on here who we just missed on the Med cruise.

My girls are looking forward to meeting some girls their age.

Yes, I received a letter in the mail from the OT at school telling me she evaluated him a few times and provided the results of her testing and recommendations for private OT. We haven't set that up yet because we're already having trouble keeping all these appointments straight with so many different doctors. One thing at a time. Plus, she also suggested waiting until summer because there is a summer group OT session at one place she recommended.
