Thank you for this info. We were wondering if they did that or not. Sure hope they do that for this cruise.

When did you go on the Med cruise? We were on from June 27 to July 7. It was great.

We loved the Med. We left like July 26th.....into August.....I know that my oldest left for college on Aug 10th and we had like 2 days to pack after we got back!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

All caught up for tonight. I hope the Ballroom Under the Stars is fun. I also saw on the navigators from the last repo that DCL had dance lessons several times. DH surprised me with ballroom dance classes and we started on Tuesday! There's no way either one of us will look like we're from Dancing with the Stars, but I'm hoping to at least not embarrass myself by cruise time. My DH is so sweet.

The outdoor adventure in PV is full (no reservations available). There are various things that are full. Anything else you want me to check the availability on?

Sandra

Wow, trying to catch up...I don't know how many but I think I had like 100 pages to catch up on. I haven't really been on here since Wed. Still have about 20 or so pages to go....

back to catching up:surfweb: :surfweb: :surfweb:

holly don't give up, where there's a will there's a way!!!!!! I REALLY want to meet you on this cruise, you seem like such a cool person!!
Thanks! I'm working on it. And I'm not a cool person, just a NUT trying not to have a mental breakdown this month! ;)

man I cannot keep up with you guys!!

what is this about door tag? sounds like tons o fun, so does the mouseadventure/scavenger hunt....

for those of you keeping track, I've now learned vital signs, bed making, would dressing and catheter inserting:eek: in school. in just two short weeks they unleash us nursing students on the unsuspecting folks at a hospital here in town. yikes!!:scared1: !!
You'll do fine! After the first few times doing each thing, you'll be a pro. You'll get through it! :goodvibes

I've been slacking on the Bobby pictures, so I'm working on getting them off my camera, onto photobucket, then onto his thread. The plan is to have this accomplished before bed. But I should be watching Lost! Still haven't watched it!

I could have typed that right there myself.
I can offer no answers just the comfort of knowing there are tons of us moms out there in the same exact situation right now. I want my daughter to appreciate things and she really does but she still seems to expect them as well. Last time we flew to San Diego for vacation I had all the suitcases in the livingroom. I told the kids cmon lets go to the airport I am ready! My daughter started to wheel hers to the front door and I asked where she was going. She asked if the limo was here. :rotfl2: I cracked up something fierce and told her that mom's taxi was taking us and to wheel to the garage. She didn't care one way or another but now I worry that I have set expectations really high. I sure hope adulthood is not a letdown when reality kicks in for her.

I am positive you both are doing wonderful jobs. As my kids got a little older, we all did all kinds of mission work all the time to see how many live. Daniel went on 6 mission trips while in HS. International, Rural and Urban....He ended up loving the work and may end up as a missionary. The girls have both been to West VA twice doing Vacation Bible Schools for little kids who have NOTHING. We spend Thanksgiving serving homeless in DC and many Christmases we have delivered dinners and presents to families. Our Christmases are small so we can give to others.

I do remember one year we got the name of a family from Western Fairfax Christian Missionaries and we shopped for food and gifts and wrapped and when we went to deliver they had nicer TV's, nicer computers, pretty much nicer than everything....I had to explain sometimes people with things come on bad times.....even that was a lesson.

Okay on the flip side, we do Disney Cruises and have 2 houses.....my kids have a lot of stuff...but not as much as their friends.

I guess I am just a working mom doing the best I know how.....

My crew was on the last week of November / first week of December ... and the weather was great!! :lovestruc

Castaway Cay was PERFECT!! Warm, sunny days with crystal clear water.

... but ... Brent announced that we had the first "7 sunny days of perfect weather" cruise in a LONG time ... so we felt very lucky!!

We always ask onboard ... "what is the least expensive week to travel next year" ... and then try to book it. Last year it was the week after Thanksgiving.

"We're Better Than Leftovers" merged with "The 'NanaHeads". Fun group!!

:tinker: Karen
OH MY GOSH, I can't believe I didn't notice that in your ticker before! I was booked on that cruise! Originally, I was going on this PC cruise without Tyler and had booked the NanaHeads one so I could take Tyler on one too. Then common sense sank in and I realized I couldn't do 2 cruises so close together. My co-worker knows all of that group because she was on the '06 NanaHead cruise and in fact, a few of them came here in September (I think) for a State football game and had a DIS meet before the game. I was supposed to go to the meet, but something else came up. I LOVED that meet thread.....those folks are SO crazy!

I wish I could say that Molly had large motor to balance her out, but something is missing in her brain wiring that way. I realized in 2 grade while having her observed by an OT that she truely didn't have any sense of what to tell her body to do in physical situtations. She can't climb a ladder in a normal fashion, she changes from over compensation, where she does one step with each foot to under compensation missing two steps and almost falling off the ladder. It has been an interesting journey watching her grow thru these developmental processes. Funny thing is she walked very early 10 months, and stranger than that she rolled over at 3 weeks. :scared1: Now when we are in physically demanding places I just stick with her and talk her thru the safe and normal way to move. Hence my worry to leave her alone with Paul on a boat...worst thing that can happen is she will fall, and does that often. Not any serious injuries so far. ok, blabbermouth steps away from the keyboard....
You've just described Tyler to a "T". That's exactly him....in addition to all his other issues.

I can tell you this from our MED cruise. They do not release all the reservations at the beginning. They released some on 105 day mark. More on the 90 day mark....yet more on 75 days and then even some on the ship.

I have no idea if they will do this on this cruise or not....maybe someone should call DCL and ask.....then again......they won't give you a straight answer. :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

That is true! They don't release everything. That is why when you get on the ship you can still book stuff.

In any case, on the EB Med, I went in one day on DCL after I had my excursions booked and they had all DISAPPEARED. I called DCL and the CM told me I "must have not booked them." I told her NO, I DID! She said "well, we don't have any record, so you will need to re-book them all." Well, I came to the disboards and posted for everyone to check and sure enough, others had lost theirs too. I drove home, got my confirmation numbers and called DCL back. By then the next CM told me they had problems and they were in the process of reinstating everyone. I said that was real nice, but I didn't appreciate the previous CM not believing me that I had actually booked my excursions.

We got our excursions back, but what a hassle!

I am back on the PC so I can go an look at all my stupid posts from the Blackberry. It is fun.....but a lot of work to post with it.

VA Tech boys and girls both won today!! That gives them a heads up for tomorrow. How fun it was to watch my all grown up son truly interact as an adult.

They all went out to dinner together so I do not need to feed them tonight!! What a lovely group of kids!!
YAY! Way to go VA Tech! :woohoo: And lucky you for not having to feed everybody tonight....Yikes!

My GD Serenity went for her 4 month check up yesterday, she is already 16 lbs and 26" long! I sure do miss her. She is rolling around and also rotating herself around by kicking:angel: Her mom says she spins until she loses sight of her mom and then cries/fusses until she works her way around and can see her again :upsidedow

Awww......how cute!

OHHHHHH what a nightmare.....I got up in the middle of the night to book all our excursions and then we cancelled most all of them and did them on our own and had a wonderful time!! Saved $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

SCRAPBOOKING UPDATE!

Well tonight I finished designing and putting all the supplies and stuff together for 2 pages of our scrapbook. They are for our first full day of the cruise-Castaway Cay! Everything for the first two pages is spread out on my kitchen table. DH just gave me the "look"! He knows that from now to the cruise, that scrapbooking has taken over the kitchen table and counters................again!
:thumbsup2

Okay, on to the next day!

OH MY GOSH, I can't believe I didn't notice that in your ticker before! I was booked on that cruise! I LOVED that meet thread.....those folks are SO crazy!

We were meant to be DIS friends!! ;)

First I will admit -I have not read all 302 pages of this thread (Man you people talk a lot :scared1: ) so pardon me if this has been asked and answered.

My wife just informed me that she wants us to join in on the Bunko during the WB -- is this still going on? I was going to PM DisneyLover5 as stated at the beginning of this thread (Oh so many pages ago!) but they do not show up on the list???

If someone could PM me and let me know if this is still an option and who to contact my wife would be happy, and in turn that would make me happy :rolleyes1

BTW -- just made our final payment!!!! WE ARE REALLY GOING!!!!!!!!!!
WELCOME! Just jump in and we'll all learn about each other as we go! :goodvibes
