Oh my Michelle:

I missed this last night. I hope that you are able to get this situtation under control. I understand the efforts of having to manage yourself without the comfort of a paycheck every week or two.

I'll be thinking postive thoughts for you on this.

I am hoping this weekend to get it all figured out. I think everyone is stressed over this project and I am just so far down the line that the info doesn't get to me in a timely manner. I'm a link in the chain... I just don't know when my link is added... I hope it's soon... I hate to think that I may have to rush to make the trip or change my plans in any way...

But thanks for all the hugs and good thoughts... it helps... I can't say much here at home because my mom doesn't quite like where I am in this project - so if it works out...everything is fine... if it doesn't... I'll be looking for another job again soon...

that isn't enough time to shower and dress...hmmmm what to do what to do...

Get your picture taken... of course!!! :cutie:

I think we can arrange for that somewhere in between his showing with Ian & Sukie at the Tuxedo Extravaganza...perhaps it will be the closing act. I will as his stage mom/manager bring the stinkie (another name for his blankie, which he mispronouced and it stuck) as it is used as the shawl/hoodie in the babushka moment of truth....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Ian, are you sure you're up to all this????

There will of course be presold tickets availble at a reasonable cost, DOD I think it was....:rotfl:

& souvineer photos will be sold outside of lifeboat #5 - all proceeds going to Wilson's professional babushka career...

V, that is my job for the villa, no stealing! BTW what do the little ladies like for breakfast, oh and John2? Have to feed the men. I was thinking cereal for the little ladies and bagels and fruit for the big kids, coffee and OJ.

Pj

Cold pizza and Coke... wait... that was college.. :lmao:

Michelle, how are you feeling now? Hopefully better. Lisa

A bit better Lisa... I think I am just getting very nervous about getting this done before the trip. I want to go and enjoy myself and I get caught up in all of this and I just burn out. A bit of a breakdown yesterday, brain is fried today, will rest and do stuff around the house until it stops raining on Sunday and then I will try to get this Royal butt out of bed and pick up said Royal Butt and get out there and fight!!! (Jousting anyone???)

I am going to look like a lush when I am dragging around a cooler full of booze!

No less than the rest of us who will be following you!!! :dance3:

tell me more, what did you hear???? We are protesting and keeping our 6th graders juniors until next spring so they can have enough time to work on Bronze Awards, that and I want to bridge at the Golden Gate and it's happening this year while we are cruising....hey, I'm the leader at least I can throw my weight around a little bit.:lmao:

We were told that this wouldn't be phased in until 2009.
Daisies k and lst
Brownies 2nd and 3rd
Juniors 4th and 5th
Cadettes 6th and 7th
Seniors 8th and 9th
Ambassadors 10th - 12th

The IP's were being replaced.

I was thinking this as well. What do they feed them in the club? I heard they don't want to leave the club but I will make them most of the time.

They take the kids to topsiders for meals. Basically the same kids menu, buffet style, I think.

OK all I am off to pick up my daughter and sell some girl scout cookies!

Nan and I were talking about having the girls earn a badge on this trip. How many of you have scouts? Would any of you want to do a small project to earn a badge? Could you daughters pack their vests along for a photo op with their "Dis Troop sisters"?

I suppose I will be replying to your answers in the new thread tonight. Will talk about it more there as I think it would be a really cool once in a lifetime thing for the girls. Oh and if any of your girls in other countries are girl guides they are welcome as well! :thumbsup2

Don't they have an independent badge or something??? Can't you do something about going through the canal??? I'm sure survival skills are needed going through??? How about hostessing.... They could get me icecream.... culinary arts??? Maybe you could get them to do a galley tour for the scouts...

Hi MrsMOrk! I miss you too!:sad1:

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh you guys are SO cute!!!! :lovestruc :lovestruc

Whew Marilyn, be careful. Any weather phenomenon called a 'BOMB' can't be good. I'll have to look that one up.

Oh we get that here... it's when the storms hit the water off the east coast and then it picks up alot of moisture and it "bombs" out on us.. we get a ton of snow (or other moisture like rain this time) and usually winds... I think it's for when the barometric pressure drops alot... (that's my unscientific weather channel watching explanation...)

Ok I am getting worried. I still haven't heard back from txaggie94gigem , who was it that had her e-mail. She is our fishmail leader and I don't know what we are doing. I don't want to do anything without her if she is coming back.

PM your other team members and see what they are up to....

We have blizzard warnings for tonight. :scared1: They are predicting 9 to 12 inches before it ends tomorrow. I think we have already had close to six. More snow than we have had all year and the worst storm in several years. :sad2:

Carol

We have rain now and then snow tomorrow...lots of flood warnings... I wonder if our local Drive in will be under water... last year it opened (food), flooded and then was open a few days later.. I think they expect it every spring...

That's fruity-fatty-boozy drinks missy! If I'm going to drink something fruity and fatty it had better have alcohol in it!

:worship: :worship: I'M SORRY!!!! :worship: :worship:

My kids didn't "love" the clubs so they never ate there. I'm not sure how it will be this time. My 10 year old will be excited about Ocean Quest area. Not sure about the other 2. My 2 year old...we will check him into the nursery for a couple of the dinners. It is a bit more relaxing without him at dinner, at least it was last January 07. We will play it by ear...I am looking forward to our Palo Dinner on the 15th! Lisa

So... on the 15th... mom and I grab a chair outside of Palo and sit there until you guys come out with leftovers...:lmao: Maybe you could send them out with an occasional souffle???? :rolleyes1

Don't tell me these these things. I need them to love the kids club or I won't have as much fun!
The trick is to let them know that the kids club is a special place for the kids only, and that, for the most part, adults can't go there. Then they don't think of it as a baby sitting service and they are more likely to stay and have fun. If you make them think it's a place that you are trying to stick them to get them out of the way, then they will not want to go there.

We need a poll, or actually I would like a poll, but haven't figured out how to do one.

With all the talk about dining times and dining rotations, which would you prefer if you could select just one as an option with DCL:

A specific dining time; for example 5:30 or

A specfic rotation, such as LAP.

So what is more important to you, time or rotation?

I am really torn between the two.

I would like 8:00pm. We have only cruised once. We had 8:30 dinner and we arrived at the Pirate Party just in the nick of time. I know you can ask the waiters to hurry things along and we should have done this.

But I would also prefer PLA rotation. It seems to be a a better rotation for this cruise.

Aaack the dilemma!!!!!

Specific time for me, does not matter the rotation. 6 pm for early dining or 8 pm for late dining.

I'm an independant IT Consultant as well. I have a contract until the end of March, that will hopefully be extended into April and May. I've not told them I will be taking 3 weeks off in May just yet...do not want to jinx anything.

If it doesn't get extended, I'll be serving coffee at the local Tim Horton's

:cool1:

Holy Cow! I don't normally do this . . . but I've been doing nothing but thinking about this cruise all day! I went back to our pictures from the last cruise and found these two door signs my sister made for us. I just loved them. Let's see if I can get these to show up.

Those are great.

I highly suspect when the kids find out that we (that's the royal WE) are hanging around with each other that they will tend to do that too. I know Molly is happy playing with the little girls still. Wilson for sure is happy with boys his age and older. He is a bit serious sometimes. I'm sure the boys will be happy to meet each other too.

Tell the Royal princess: princess: princess: to get their own gig!!! :rotfl:

So what's minimum these days???? I'm going to have to do alot of OT to afford those fatty fruity boozy drinks...(right Ian???)
