How old is Wilson again? I'm letting my two older boys check-in and out together...if it works, we can add Wilson to that mix some days. Our rules (I think) will be as follows:
1) We need to know where they are at all times.
2) If they check-out, they need to go where we are or back to the cabin. No exceptions.
3) First time they aren't where they should be, check-in/out priveleges gone.
Any advice on the check/in & out thing? I believe in the buddy system and really don't think much can happen to them if they stick together. I like the idea of them getting some freedom....goodness knows kids don't have much freedom anymore. There was a thread on this a few days back....

I don't know if this will work for anyone but ---
On our first cruise my DSIS's kids were 12 & 14. She kept a legal pad on the desk in the cabin and all of them (DSIS and DBIL as well) were required to "time log" where they were going every time they left the cabin. That way if any one was looking for the other they just went back to the cabin and checked the log.
As a second benefit, once they were home they had a journal to sort pictures by and do the scrapbook.
