They don't accept tips and additionally if you give them something in front of others, they have to share. Every gratuity of anyform is supposed to be turned into the supervisor and then shared. I had heard from some of the employees that they are rarely passed around. How do you split a gift card? So basically if you find a particular employee helpful and considerate just tip them on the side. It's sad that this is the case.

I'll be right there with you!

me too:thumbsup2

My husband had knee surgery yesterday. He was in severe pain today but we hope tomorrow will bring a better day. Our three little girls and I are staying in a great motel in Winnipeg. It has a playarea and pool so the girls have been having fun playing.

Hope he is keeping well.

My real estate agent bought his house with the cat in the contract. Yup, the sellers insisted the cat stay with the house. It was a good thing all around. He loved her, Blacky, and she loved that house.

I have never heard of this - what a hoot....:lmao:

easter baskets....what is everyone putting in theirs this year?
I think the girls will get $10 Disney dollars and then some things like sunscreen (exciting I know), waterproof throw away camera, stickers, etc. No candy - well maybe one thing. Don't want to spend a lot. My mom's Disney Store is closing so she got a ton of stuff, sunglasses, flops, watches, etc. She said there was hardly anything left. I may as well get John one as well.

HELP HLEP HLEP - I am thinking of an Easter basket for DH this year and need suggestions as well (his Valentine's gift was The PAth to the Sea) - so I am thinking of extra swim trunks or water shorts - but what else????

anyone have any grand insight to what our rotation and dining time will be? how ahead of time do they assign those?

Thanks for the heads up and all the suggestions on a rotation - I had not even thought about this.....:confused3 We requested one on prior cruises but not sure if we will here - stilll:confused3

Erm, yes or no.

I wait until near the time and see how the packing go. As the belt, shoes etc are very heavy. My son and husband have own kilt suit so still thinking about it.

My friend is not bringing his kilt as he think daft for wear it once on the Cruise:confused3

I thought kilt would be lovely for formal as Keith & husband wore it on the Med Cruise.

Still thinking about it:confused:

We thought the kilts were wonderful when we saw them on prior cruises for Fromal night - not daft at all -

So, if weight were not an issue, please please bring the kilts - if weight prevents it, we understand....(sad) but understand.

You might think of a cruise survival basket. Little things for the cruise, water wallet, sun screen, a cap, etc.

Not much time to post. Trying to get caught up.

NAN,
It may be something as simple, as osgood slaughters. Hopefully it is not torn cartilage or an acl tear.

MARILYN,

Congrats on the lunch at Club 33, you lucky duck. :thumbsup2

JOHN,
Sounds like the typical NIMBY response. :sad2:

HOLLY,
Great news about the monitor and even GREATER news about Tyler.

Off to babysit and then off to a Girl Scouts event. They are having a community scavenger hunt and I'm the one with the First Class Award. My neighbors troop scavenged me. :rotfl:

Sending wishes for a quick recovery for your husband!

Continuing prayers for you and your family. Speaking of prayers, my mom's surgeon asked if we would like him to pray with us before surgery. Well, SURE! He prayed for guidance in his work and healing for her. How cool was that!
That's awesome! We need more doctors like that!

APL is the dining rotation that they are on...

Animators Pallet
Parrot Cay
Lumieres

It's the first initial of what restaurant you will be in on the first three nights... then it keeps rotating.
As long as I have a chair to sit in and a table to eat at and food in front of me, I don't care which restaurant I'm in on any given night. That's never mattered to me. :thumbsup2 We sometimes skip dinner anyway if Tyler's too tired, which happens often even with early dinner.

OH.......speaking of his tiredness, the OT yesterday told me extreme fatigue is a part of sensory disorders because his body is always sort of on "high alert" and also always dealing with the struggle of what his body is craving to do and fighting to not do what his mind knows he's not supposed to do. No wonder he ALWAYS looks tired and always falls asleep so often! :sad1:

I forgot to tell you Wilson and Molly had it 2 summers ago. Wilson got it 1 day before we left for London, Paris and Barcelona for 2 week vaca. The tickets were non refundable, Doctor said go. We did. Poor kids. Wilson was a trooper, he caught some other bug too and had the runs for 8 days, had to wear diapers on the Chunnel. Molly got it a week later in Paris, Pox in Paris. She enjoyed Dland Paris from a stroller, not bad for a 9 year old huh?
Aw, poor things! :grouphug: Well, at least that's a vacation they'll surely NEVER forget!

Well everybody, off to the weekly psych appt with Tyler's dad and stepmom. Ugggh.....we asked last week how this is helping Tyler. She seems to think we need to be able to learn coping skills to teach him for dealing with his particular issues. BUT....the OT yesterday told me it's the opposite (to which I agree)....the psych needs to be teaching TYLER these coping skills because his parents won't be with him in school when he needs help. I mentioned that to his dad last night and he said, "Well, lets just see what she says in the morning", meaning today's appt. It will not be good to continue this and also add Tyler's every Wed OT appt, and be paying DOUBLE the appts per week. So far he's been paying for all the psych visits, but I can't expect him to pick up the OT as well.

OK...have a great day all! :cool1:

Glad to hear about Tyler.

Same here about the restuarant. No matter what I have requested I always end up with the earliest seating and APL rotation.
