Mickey dice??
We usually have a deck or two of cards (I even have a deck in camera bag) and the dice w/yahtzee score pad as well. I think we have Mille Borne in the bag too.

This time I'm not sure what we'll bring. I might bring Bang! cards and possibly the Pass the Pigs game too. Carcassonne might find it's way into the luggage as well as it should be simple enough to bag it up and go. Hopefully Ticket to Ride the card game will be out by then and we can bring it too.

Coupe Fourre! I love Mille Bornes. :)
Pass the Pigs is fun as well, have you played Can't Stop the Turtles?

A friend just sent me a photo essay about the Falkirk Wheel. It is near where Deborah lives and is a rotating boat lift to move canal boats from one canal to another. AMAZING.

I wish I could post the essay on here, but it was an e-mail attachment. If anyone knows how to do that, let me know. PM me because I am WAY WAY behind--again:confused3

I should have said house sitter, we have a college girl that stays at our house. The dogs want to be in and with someone at night. At least that's what they tell me. She seems happy to house sit as she lives with 5 roommates. I think her time at our house is a bit of an escape.

Our college age DD house sits as well. She made great money over the summer. She had her regular job and then stayed nights, at peoples homes while pet sitting.

Good morning all, we are sending sunshine and wind your way across the coutnry! I'm off the teach this morning.

Has anyone heard from txaggie94gigem recently? She hasn't posted since part 4. I tired pm'img her maybe she will answer soon.

I may have her email and I know I have her home address, send me a note you want to send her and I'll print it and mail it.

It is still going on for another week. The teacher said they got cards from all over the world. Thanks again to everyone that helped!

Gydell, remind me what you need and I'll send one from DL this week. I have your address for the maps here.

Kelly - Just tell Brent that you saw the gingerbread man there. Thanks!

Is today your D-Day with kindergarden? I think you said Monday but not sure which one.

Good morning everyone. Jan, that wheel is amazing! Just a quick post as I am getting DS2 ready for his bus pick up!

For our work last year, we posted everyone's graduation picture in the lounge about this time...well, maybe not until May (graduation time). It was a big hit - everyone loved seeing each's other pictures. We also posted all holiday family photos - people had to guess who the little child with Santa was. Lots of fun.

Not caught up yet (DIS crashed on me a bit ago), but wanted to post in case I ran out of time.

At our office, for birthdays we bring in toddler/childhood pictures of ourselves that are printed and posted in the 'cake' area. (we do one birthday cake a month) Those of us in sales have taken to posting the picture outside our cubicles...get lots of comments from guests and the folks in other departments.

Class of '68 for me too, Angie. AND a good picture, which I will post if I ever decide which photo place to use since imagestation went belly-up!

Pet sitter....Acoma kitten will move in with Auntie Peg for the 16 days I'm gone. Her 'cousins' Faith and Hope (minpins) are looking forward to her visit (they love coming here to see her...hope the will be as happy to have her over! ). They used to have their own cat, and Acoma is MUCH nicer than she was, so they should be fine.

V, once again, love the pictures!

....ok back to catch up before the 'go to work' buzzer sounds!

Figured as much. Wow what a markup plus, I bet, the 15% gratuity too, right?

Sweet, dry we have no idea at this point. She likes the White Zinfandel I believe that is a dry. She likes fruity drinks and Martinis (chocolate is her favourite). I like Rye and Coke and a good blonde beer - keeps it simple.

Nope, 18%

I saw the game in a retro store a few months back. Had thought about picking it up. I remember playing with my mom back in the early 70's almost every night. It was such a simple, yet fun game to play.

Joseph

Dennis learned to play it when he was serving in VietNam then when he came home we played. :goodvibes

Great Pictures V! Are you liking that camera? Ten bucks says that Amy thinks John looks good in that goatee when she made me cut mine off!

Yeah, John looks good there, yeah, John, yeah . . . .

John looks great! My John, no so great!

My goal is to home school the girls in 2011, buy an RV and travel across the country as our curriculum. We'll see if I can really pull it off but right now that is my plan. One thing Scott and I want to do is hit all those "treasure hunter" places that they show on TLC...you know the place in Montana you can dig for sapphires and Nevada you dig for? etc. I think that looks like so much fun.

Herkimer, New York you can dig for HERKIMER DIAMONDS (quartz crystals).
At least you used to be able to. If you do a Google search and it does not work, PM me and I will ask a friend who still lives near there.

Near Hot Springs Arkansas you can dig quartz crystals too, but they need to be cleaned off with some acid stuff as the soil they are in is stuck on--I don't understand, but it sounds messy.

Check out SOAP STONE in Minnesota. A mine there where Native Americans used to dig a soft rock, shape it into peace pipes and regular pipes and then it hardened when exposed to air. Used to be a great tourist spot when my grandparents were young. Not sure about it now. I had two "souvenir peace pipes" my grandmother got which somehow got lost when we moved in 1987. Our stuff was in storage for a couple months and those are two of the things I never found.

V, I hope you don't mind but I've been wanting to play with a new technique in PSE that I learned to do selective colouring.

I saw this pic and just had to give it a try.

Here are the results:

I hope you like it.

I am loving your pics! Hope you are enjoying the new camera!

Ken - this looks neat! I'll be ignorant now, but what is PSE?

V - love your pics!

Oh and everyone seems to still be GTY's?

Just curious anyone that is a GTY that receive a room assignment...was it an upgrade?

Oh, and Gydell (I know you are sleeping its late my time too) my last name starts with B so I don't think that is the way they are assigning GTY...maybe someday we'll figure it out:confused3 Yes its drawing names out of a hat:rotfl:

We got room assignment on Feb. 23, but it was not an upgrade. For a moment I thought Gydell had a good theory, our last name begins with A.

We haven't been to tea, but I'm pretty sure DH left $25 for brunch.

DH tips at Palo based on what he thinks the meal would have cost at a restaurant, and he is a 20% tipper when we go out to eat.

Ok don't know who had it in their sig anymore but now I am consumed with filling out the Mouse Manager - never had seen it before but it is what I needed to put all my info for the WDW part of this trip in one place plus all my other info like airfare, trip insurance, etc.

Thanks for the info! I do not know where I have been to miss this cool thing!

Mouse Manager is GREAT! :thumbsup2
