Michelle and Holly - yes my computer ran away as well.....It seems the battery cord had become unplugged oh, about a week ago, and I had no clue - thus, no juice, no PC......silly human error....Fixed now. Although, maybe it wanted to rest:laughing:
Well, what a relief that nothing is wrong with it! Funny, I thought about that happening and meant to ask you if you checked the cord because that happened to me too earlier in the week. :rotfl:

Still struggling to post on my jittery, jiggly, flickering computer. There's a computer repair place I'm going to try to call during work if I have time. :thumbsup2

Have to leave in 15 min because I have to stop at the bank on the way to work, so I'm off for a quick shower and out the door. Have a great day all! :goodvibes

Marilyn, enjoy NOT working out today! :yay:

Hi Holly, do you have snow?
Hi Marilyn! I just peeked out the window when I saw your post and it looks like just a dusting, but more is falling. We're not predicted to get anything more than what we have. The last month we've been skipped over, so that's nice!

Yikes! I stand corrected. I went out to start my car just now and it's snowing much quicker and heavier than I'd originally thought. Just checked the weather report and it's only supposed to be up to 4 inches though. Piece of cake. I have to rush to the city tax office on my lunch hour to pay my property taxes, so I hope it doesn't get too nasty by then. HAVE TO today. Hmmm.......or, another idea popped into my head. That office is at one of our county court buildings, where the courier at our law firm makes frequent trips. I wonder if I could bribe her into taking it with her because I'm sure she'll be there in that building at some point today. Hmmm.....will have to call and see if they'll let somebody else bring in my tax payment. :thumbsup2

OK....out the door now! Bye all!

Good Morning Thieves!!! The sun is shining and I'm feeling so much better. It's been a tough week of chronic pain. I have a whole list of illnesses and I just had a flare up. I hurt from head to toe right to the bone. It was hard to sit, stand, sleep or move. I was taking pain killers and muscle relaxers which knocked me out. I'm so glad it's over for now.

I'll be good to go on our cruise because I'll be taking steroids temporarily while on vacation. They will reduce the inflamation and pain and give me energy. I can't stay on them permanently, but I do use them for vacation. So I am doing better today and will be great on the boat.

It's the last day of February today.....starting tomorrow it's just 2 months and 10 days to go......just 2 months people.....and we're there!! Now I'm getting even more excited because after waiting over a year, 2 months is nothing and will go very quickly.

:cool1: :cool1:

We spoke to our 4th grade's teacher today and broke the news of the cruise. She was great. We talked about making a powerpoint presentation on the panama canal, and we might tie in information on the Gold Rush, as that is what he is studying. Does anyone have any plans on having their kids do a report? I was thinking that it would be fun for them to do a group project. So any 4th graders that might be interested, let me know! We are telling our kids on Easter. After Easter, for whoever is interested, maybe they can start to do a little research before the cruise? I can take responsiblity of the power point. All the kids could then use the same one. Figure we can try to finish a lot of it before the cruise, and then add pictures from the cruises.

I'm on my 4th day of the juice fast/feast thing. Not sure what to say about it at this point. Lisa

We have a 4th grader. I was hoping he would do a report on the canal. He has been watching any of the canal programs on the History Channel. I will have my wife contact you. Your idea sounds great. He is home schooled, but meets with several families for school day each week and does presentations for them.

Hello! from AuburnGuy:rolleyes1

I received a surprise?:thumbsup2 A cruise thru the Panama Canal! It looks like I will be joining the party!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Welcome!

Has anybody heard if the Prince Caspian movie that Opens May 16th will be shown on the cruise???

I see you've already gotten answers for this, just wanted to say nice to see you back and posting!

Speaking of LOST......no spoilers, but OMG it is just getting so good but just so many more questions!!!!!

I can't WAIT to talk about this at work today...one fantastic episode. I was so wishing I had someone here with me during the auction scene...I was jumping up and down on the couch. For those who still have to view it...PAY ATTENTION.

DW is invited for lunch at Club 33 tomorrow, so I'll tag along to spend the day at Disneyland and California Adventure.

I asked DW to go out on a balcony during lunch and toss me a bread roll or two.

Woody

:lmao: I attended a charity breakfast at Club 33, what a wonderful experience!

Well, this week is nearly over and man...it went by so FAST. Got two projects for this weekend; taxes and weeds. What fun!

Think I'll go cook a nice hot breakfast for myself this morning OR I could go back and lie down for another 40 minutes......:confused3

The best thing my son's teacher said today is that she would waive all the homework for the 2 weeks! It helps that one week is STAR testing, so nothing to waive that week. But the following week, she said he can just do this report on the Panama Canal and he would be covered! So happy about that. Did find out that they have their Gold Rush trip (2 night overnighter) the Wed-Friday after we get back. So it will be a little rushed for him to get back into school, and then go off for that camp. But it sure could be worse!
Lisa

Our son Cameron has STAR testing the last week of April I believe. He will still do some school work while we are gone, since it we will be traveling all of May. Any Canal books to recommend?

Joseph

Where I would like to be right now. :lmao:

The book Jaide has is The Panama Canal by Elizabeth Mann

There is another one called Lock, Crocs and Skeeters which is for a bit of a younger crowd, but I didn't like that one as well. If I remember correctly it is out of print now too.

I got both on Amozon.com and plan on using 1 of them for signatures.

Hi Gydell.....I'm glad I'm feeling better too.....it lasted the whole week already and I'm glad it's over!!!

Isn't that shirt just the coolest! Thanks to PJ again for coming up with the graphic and making it so easy for us to make the shirts.

Marilyn and PJ.....I have shirts for both of you that I'll hold until I see you at the terminal or on board. They really are perfect!

Is everyone dressing up for pirate night? I will be wearing this for the Pirate and Princess Party and Pirate night:

Gina, I am doing the red eye on Jetblue out of LGB on the Tuesday night. Going to check flights now, I did see a week ago that my flight to MCO is 30 minutes later now.
Pj

Yay! Well, we can hang around the airport in the middle of the night then :)

I was just talking about this the other day.....dreaming of this cruise has gotten me through some pretty rough/stressful times over the last year....what am I going to do when I don't have this to plan anymore:sad1:

I know!! I'm going through a rough patch now, and this cruise is one of the only things pulling me through. I don't know what I'll do after it's over :(

You will have all of us to e-mail still, and I'm sure many of us will exchange phone numbers too before we part, and you can always reach out that way for moral support!

That's actually a good idea Holly.

I hope the snow isn't too bad and the "bribe" works!

Not sure that I should admit this - but my dh is Auburnguy. He finally posted and that will probably be the last time you hear from him until the cruise!

Good Morning sweetie, I feel like a person today!

btw, I love the way your sigy is advancing. It looks nice. And you ARE my prince charming, who is just a little grumpy at times.

Is Bill a lurker Gydell? At least if he reads without posting, he'll still get to know us before cruise. Then maybe we can engage him to where he'll want to post a reply to someone.

Gydell, are we doing Fishlips at 5:30pm????? If so, we need to let everyone know.
