Hi there - that rule for the $50.00 is a Visa (Chase) thing, not a Disney thing so you may want to contact Chase (they put that condition on there, not Disney---Disney doesn't care as long as they get paid). I had this looked into as well. I used my Rewards card to call in more OBC.
I'm sure that's not what you want to hear, but since I'd been through it too figured I'd let you know.

I think I am missing a potential $50. discount - what was this all about and it may be too late now. But hey, info is welcome.

do I need a wireless router for home or should I just piggyback? clueless....

Is this for your laptop? If so I would go wireless. DD bought a laptop and loves moving about the house. Our PC is in DH's office, not the most convenient space when someone comes to visit and would like to check the net.

The Disney Visa through Chase had a promotion that if you paid everything w/ your Disney Visa you were eligible for a $50 obc. Not sure what the timing was on this though (not offered all the time).

Wow, quiet today. Bed time for me and hardly a chat!!! You are all obviously working hard for your cruise spending money.:rotfl2:

Good night.

Yes, wetsuit is a must. How cold - do I need the vest as well?

I'll check the weather and adjust.

I'll PM my friend Scott. He owns a diving company and goes diving all over the world and did the PC cruise in May 2005.

Ok so I went to the doctor for my headaches today and I have a nose spur!!:rotfl2: I am not kidding that is what its called. They think it may be causing the headaches. They gave me medacine, if it works they can surgically remove it. If not I have to go to a Nerologist. My mom went with me and laughed.

I think I am ready to melt my Disney Visa, and not in the spending lots of money way. We ordered a Rewards Card for the first time before our cruise last year. I only took the minimum of things from my wallet and managed to leave it home, which I realized as soon as we got on board. They could not do anything to let me spend it on that trip. I read on the boards that you could just call and have them apply it to your balance, so I did that for this trip. Now I've read that if you pay for any portion with Rewards, you don't get the Disney Visa $50 OBC !@#$! I have my TA checking on it and if it is true I'm writing a letter to Mr Igor. This visa has cost way more than it has saved and I'm ready to be done, I'm coming back United Miles!

That is true. Before I started using the Disney Visa I thoroughly read the rules and regulations (back in my career days I managed US Navy contracts so I'm in the habit of reading EVERY details of everything...drives DH crazy) and I did read in order to get the $50 OBC the entire cruise had to be paid for using the Disney Visa. It would still apply if you made payments, as long as the payments were made with the Disney Visa. That's a bummer...it's certainly worth it to try to see if you can still get it, but from what I know of contracts, the terms and conditions were stated in the literature that came with the card, odds are they won't do anything for you. :sad2: Let us know how it turns out!

Thanks to all the recommendations, I have bought my first pair of crocs. Here is what I got
PAAAIACEADKOBJFF.jpg

So far I like them.I've only been wearing them for a little while.

What is that? How exactly do you get a nose spur?!?! Goodness!!!

man , I missed a whole thread....I need to find more time to spend on here, did I miss anything important?

All caught up! Fish were swimming last night. I'm glad we weren't the only ones that got to enjoy them for hours.

Sorry Gydell that you got those stinky fish :snooty: I was expecting the same but was lucky and finished my ressies quite easily.

Was anyone able to get any tea or brunch last night?

Not me. Only dinner was available, but we had that already. Monica, what time did you get the Outdoor Adventure for? I think most everyone will probably be at the earliest time, I had to take the 2nd as that's all that was available, so looks like there may not be any one to give me that starting push:scared:

My son come home now and I told him the news, he is so happy.

I was up at 5 am to see if any more high tea to change the times as it was nothing so far as it went very smooth than 90 days!!

I booked the excursion for Acapulco as I changed my mind after I read the cruise critic about Acapulco. I don't think it is safe place for us as we might not communication with them??

I booked the Acapulco City Tour with Cliff Divers for all of us as it will be 5 hours.

What is that? How exactly do you get a nose spur?!?! Goodness!!!

My mom is looking into how you get one. We don't know but I always had allergy issues and thought it was my sinuses. My sinuses are great and clear but I am sneezing and stuffy nose.

Tink Rules:

Great letter!! There is one day and time at Palos that is still open. Not the day you want though. We wanted brunch too. Can't wait to meet with you. We are you other table mates!:cool1:

Ok everybody...

Here's my letter to Mr Iger...

I guess I should send it to Mr. McAlpin too...

(Couldn't let all of you 90 dayers have all the fun writing!!! (BTW... Michael Eisner hated hearing from me too... I'm sure I have a file and the reaction is going to be "Oh.. %$*# she's back...")

Dear Mr. Iger:
In December of this year I booked what will be my first cruise on the Disney Cruise Line.
We will be sailing on the May 10th Panama Canal Repositioning Cruise. I have looked forward to each aspect of this trip due to the overwhelming guest satisfaction I have heard about.

Our experience so far has been a satisfactory, except when dealing with the online reservations for Palo. When I signed on to get my excursion and dining, I was able to get the first but was shut out entirely from reserving Palo in any form. I do understand that there are many return cruisers who were able to book at the 105 & 90 day mark, but you have blatantly excluded all of the 75 day cruisers from booking a dinner, brunch or tea at all!!!

This is not acceptable for a company that is so well known for its guest service. Seeing as the people who booked at the 90 day mark spent hours upon hours even trying to access the site, (yes, I am a member of the Disboards…) let alone reserve anything, excluding the first time cruisers from any chance to reserve Palo is unacceptable. The reservations should have been evenly distributed among the dates to let both repeat and new cruisers get the chance to experience Palo.

As of now I have been given the instructions from one of the Cast Members at DCL to check back daily (but not to make it my life’s work…) to see if reservations open up and to get on line at Rockin D Bar to see if I can, (in my words “BEG”) for a opening. Instead of enjoying my first day at sea I will begin it in line with all of the other people (both 90 & 75 day people) who were shut out of the process.

This cruise is to be a special one for my mother and I. She will be celebrating her 76th birthday on May 13th and I had hoped to be able to dine in Palo that evening. It has taken her 76 years to go on a cruise… I wanted this one to be special. I would also appreciate the chance to experience brunch as well.

I have been a loyal guest at your resorts since my first visit with my family as a child in 1972. There are many aspects of the Walt Disney Company that I admire which keeps me returning to your resorts over and over. One of those being guest services. At your resorts I am treated like a family member coming home. I hope that I can say the same for Disney Cruise Line.

If you are able to assist me in this matter, I would greatly appreciate it.

Sincerely

Michelle B. Lauzon

That is nice explanation, and I wish your mum have a lovely birthday while you both cruise as it will be great memory for you both. I hope you will get the palo for her speical birthday. :cheer2:

Deborah, I'm glad you had a wonderful birthday celebration......and WOOHOO on the news about school approving your kids having the time off! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: That's a HUGE weight off your shoulders, so now you can just relax and count down the days with us! :beach:

Hi Hollytyler

YES, it was A HUGE weight of my shoulders now and I start counting the dates :goodvibes

Marilyn, sent you an email. Wondering if you got it?

Deborah, so glad you got things taken care of with the school. I think this will be a great educational experience for all of us (and fun too! :cheer2: :rotfl2: ).

Carol

Carol,

Before we booked it, I asked the head teacher and she said it should be OKAY, that was last year April, now new rules, new strict started last month because too many parents take their children out of school for cheaper holiday! My boss wrote the letter that I am working through the summer holiday. The school accepted it now. PHEW. Look like difficult to get children off for the future. So we won't do it again in future:sad: as our first times done that.

It will be a great memory for our children and it will be good experience too.

Mom323

You are right better buy wireless as we have it as it is brilliant that we can use our laptop, in livingroom and bedroom.
