I missed out on 10+ pages! My eye was so bad last night I could not keep it open. I am not sure what I did to it. It's ok today but still a little swollen.

Happy Birthday Bubba! (a little late)....

John will knock out his passport tomorrow and hopefully they will arrive back in time. There were quite a few families applying...I suppose getting ready for summer vacations.

good morning everyone, Just a quick hello while I try to get #2 out the door to his bus for school. Seems like just a few hours ago I was on here trying to catch up...oh wait, it was only 4 hrs ago. I do need a vacation! (where is the smiley that is cutting z's can't find him) Ok off to get ready for work. I will try to catch up on the 20 or so pages when I get back tonight that I am sure will be waiting for me from this point!:cool2: Everyone Have a great day!

so that is $400 additional.....geez, this trip is never ending costs I tell ya! But at least we'll have them now. DH was really worried....me, not so much.

is everyone still GTY? I was thinking they would be assigning soon.
Kim - did you ever hear on the cat 3? I wonder who got the cat 2 of Karen's and if it was a DIS'er....

Depending on how my young men are doing, I might just come home on Sat when we get off the ship, unpack, do a quick wash and then come down to play at DL with my guys. They like doing DL and with the special access pass, we can usually do all that they want to do in a single day. 2 men with special needs + 1 father = 9 others that can accompany us as we rush around and do the park in a day!

Humm have to give it some thought and check the purse strings. Might just be a good carrot if they start acting up while onboard.

I think you will not want to be getting off the ship on Saturday. ;) Make that run home and back to DL on Sunday. :)

Good morning all,
Well, we had a gorgeous very warm day here yesterday. DD and I were very fortunate to meet up with Woody and Mrs. Woody at CA and went on all kinds of adventures. We were all very surprised when we won "year of a million dreams" silver mouse ears. And we ate the sourdough lunch bowls for everyone. We took Flat Stanley with us yesterday, which was a riot. He was a project for my neice in NC. We dressed him up with Mickey surf wear and Mickey ears. We had a great time and DD did not want to leave at the end of the day!

Hope Bubba had a great birthday! DH and I went to a great lecture tonight by the author of Dr. Kindlon, author of Raising Cain and some other books. It was a part of a great lecture series a group of private and a few public schools sponsor... http://www.commongroundspeakerseries.org/pages/4speakers/speaker_main.html

Your speaker series is excellent! Dr. Kindlon is the writing partner for Michael Thompson, who has been very helpful to us with our publishing work. Many of your speakers are on our book list we send out to parents.

Darn, DH is up there right now and could have gone to see him!

I wrote to DCL this week to find out if I could get nutritional information for food/menu items on the cruise.

I explained that I was following Weight Watchers, and I would like to be able to calculate points values.

I did not say that I was a WW meeting leader.

I received this response this week:

" 2/27/08

Dear Ian,

Thank you for booking a Disney Cruise Line Vacation!

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a nutritional breakdown for the foods offered on the ship. However, please feel free to bring your listings with you in order to evaluate the foods once onboard.

In addition, you can get an idea of the nutritional value by checking out the sample menus for the restaurants you will dine in each night for dinner.

A list of sample menus for all main restaurants can be found by visiting our website at www.disneycruise.com. From the main page select Onboard Dining. Next, select Animator's Palate, Triton's, Lumiere's, Parrot Cay or Palo. Then, scroll down and click on View a Sample menu to
launch the menu.

I hope this information has been helpful. If you require further
assistance in planning your visit, please feel free to contact us.

We look forward to sailing with you! Have a Magical Day!"

I'm not a surprised. I think it was worth a shot. I'm still corresponding with guest services about WDW food. The correspondence started this past August and they keep "losing" my emails.

I'm not upset, very mildly surprised as I would have thought they'd have a good handle on this info. I just wanted the info so I could make more informed choices throughout the day and figure out how to spend my points.

But still they were pleasant, and the writer of the email was obviously familiar with the Weight Watchers program.

.

Thanks for asking Ian. I know that the info would be great in helping me stay on program. But oh well, some places just dont want to share. Like CPK whats up with that? Us WW need to know these things:lmao:

Bindie is a slang short version of Belinda, usually. Us Aussies shorten everything with an 'e' sound at the end eg breakfast (brekky), kindergarten (kindy), biscuit (biccy) etc - you get the the piccy (picture)!!:rotfl:

You know, my daughter had to be re-educated when we moved back to the USA. She was saying her abcs wrong in preschool. Once she got to the end, she would say Zed, instead of Z. Took lots of sesame street to get her back on the right path! The teachers told me in school that when mid-morning would come along, she would always ask "Is it Smoko time?" (this is what some Aussies call a mid-morning break). They would just crack up laughing at her accent and word choices.

We were GTY Category 11 until a few weeks ago (about a week after we had made final payment, then we were assigned a cabin number. But my parents who are linked with us are still in their Category 6 GTY.

Can go to the park for 2 1/2 hours in the am saturday, then go across the street to the comp...lasts for about 30min. and then go back to the park. If they do well, they compete sunday, if not park all day! Of course I want them to do well, but if not...more time in the park.

As long as it is another South West flight they will just transfer funds.

If fare is higher though, you would need to pay the difference. No change fee

I'm gettin jealous of all your plans to stay at DL afer the cruise. We head to the Airport - and home...and laundry

Me too......:sad2: ...but I also need the Monday off to get myself ready to go to work on tuesday.

I see nothing wrong with "Zed"! In fact that's what my daughters say regardless of Sesame Street and other US programming.

When I was in high school we had an exchange student from Australia in my math class. On one of her early days into the system, we were writing a quiz and she turned to one of the loud outspoken jocks and asked to borrow his "rubber". She learned quickly the difference here in Canada. ;)

V - spoke to my sister last night....she said that she got the passports for Ian & Sydney w/in 3-4 weeks. She was surprised at how quickly she got them

I had to learn that one too :rotfl:

In Brazil I went to a British school, so learned the Queen's english. Moved to the States when I was 9......quite a difference :lmao:
