Good morning all,

Yes, it is another rainy day in the southland! My flowers look great, but we're sick of it.

Here's a picture of our area - photo taken from the beach - the mountains surround us and have been covered in snow all winter. Our theory, snow should be seen and not felt.

BEAUTIFUL, Just beautiful

I love the theory!Snow should be seen and not felt.
May I use that?

Just thought I would thank everyone for their prayers and pixie dust. My cousin's husband went home Wednesday and is doing pretty good. He apparently has a condition that is affecting the sack :confused3 around his heart. Apparently it doesn't squeeze the heart enough to allow enough oxygen which makes the heart think it is having a heart attack. At least that is what I think his dsil (my cousin, Cynde, across the street who was staying with them) said. When it comes to medical issues I am lost. :confused3 When they got him to Riverside they couldn't find any blood clots so don't know what that was all about. Anyway, Cynde came home today and said that he is doing much better. Thanks again.:grouphug: :thumbsup2

I can do this for you, Linda. When you are ready for it, just send me the roster you are using, and I'll take care of it.

Thanks Tony! The official lime-green dis deck highlighter (and cabana boy too, or was it water boy?)

Just found my cosmetic bag at ebags.com. It's great for sitting on the vanity. It has a zipper on top for everything and a zipper on the bottom for brushes, etc. It'll work fine.

That's really cute. I actually use a small rubbermaid container, it like 12 inches by 5 inches and maybe 4 inches tall. It works great because I can actually either sit in on the lower shelf or on the floor underneath the lower shelf and it is out of the way and I'm not worried about anything inside because I keep the lid on and sealed when not in use! And it was really, really, inexpensive!

Anyone know if it's possible to request to NOT be sat with anyone else for meals?

There are two of us, and I am living in dread of being sat at a table with strangers .... even worse a table for 4 with strangers. How uncomfortable would that be.

We had had plans to sit with some people as dining mates but their situation has changed and so now that has fallen through.

So, what are the chances of the 2 of us not being seated with strangers?

You have a good chance of sitting alone if you request it (IMO late dining is even a better chance). We sat alone (not by choice at first, but 'cuz of seating error) last year for our one and only "without kids" 15th anniversay 7day Western. Our server and head waiter kept trying to get us at another table, but we enjoyed our "date" each night ;)

We have had great luck so far with tablemates ... one mom/son only came the first night ... maybe we scared them off!! :lmao: :lmao: ... and one couple with (very "spoiled but cute") 2yr that were interesting to talk with. Other than that it has always been prearranged with DISers.

Are you late seating, Ian?? If so ... we'll take you at our table :goodvibes

My teens usually "eat and run", but DH and I are almost always the last to leave (have no idea why, not what we set out to day) ... oh maybe it's the 3-4 desserts!! :rotfl2:

Hi Hon,

Don't get too funny. You know we will be doing this in the not so distant future. :lmao: :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

Carol

I am affraid of how smart the new dog is...:scared1: Remember I was the one that saw how quickly he won you over and had you in complete control.:scared:

Are you really??? So are we! We live in Torrance. DS just bought his Nikon d40 at Silvio's. Wow, what a small world!!

That's funny. I grew up in Torrance, until my parents forced me to move in the prime of my teenage years (13) to Idaho of all places! I can still remember my address, 2363 W 228th Street. I went to Howard Wood Elementary and JH Hull Junior High School. In fact, if you go to Howard Wood Elementary and look at the plaque on the cafeteria, I was the one who dedicated it in memory of my 5th grade teacher who died when I went to the school there.

Okay, I'll quit talking about my childhood now!

Each 7 day cruise I have been on the Palos reservations have all been booked before the cruise left. I have heard that DCL holds seats until boarding then those with NO reservations may have a chance.

We were able to get dinner and brunch but not High Tea. All booked. Honestly, I have not tried to check back and visit the :fish:

Interesting thing.......on the EB Med we had a heck of a time getting us a table for 8 for tea in Palo's one afternoon when the bookings opened.

When we actually went to tea that afternoon in Palo's there were the 8 of us and just one other table with people. I'm sure they could have accomodated more....................so....just ask once on board!

This will be our third and we can't wait either.

Are you spending the night? Or are you close enough to drive in that morning? We usually do a Priceline hotel the night before and then drive back to San Diego Sunday night.

There's that job thing getting in the way of our Disney stuff again!

We're close enough to drive in that morning. We live about 25 minutes away. We're keeping our fingers crossed that we still get to participate. Alison's State gymnastics Championships is that weekend, so we're hoping she ends up competing on Saturday! I"m gonna cry if we have to miss Mouseadventure. This will be our 2nd time and we learned so much last time that I'm hoping we do better!

You can always go down Beat Street into Rockin Bar D as soon as you board (same place as the Palo's reservations, but different waiting lines) and the dining room managers will be sitting there and you can have them bring up the diagram of the dining room and they can point out your table to you along with how many people you are dining with. If you don't feel comfortable
with your assignment, ask them to put you at a table for 2 if that is what you prefer. They will accomodate you. Also, if you go the first night and it is just unbearable and you think that "there is no way I can sit with these people for 14 more nights" just pull your dining room manager aside and tell him (or her), you don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, and it's not anything to do with your servers, but you would like the manager to move you to another table and they will accomodate you in any way that they possibly can.

And if you are really miserable, you can always eat hot dogs, chili, chicken fingers, pizza, etc., etc. up on deck 9! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I am the water boy. Robert has the title of cabana boy, and I would never want to take that away from him!

For both you and Lisa (and any one else playing in April), try to swing by and say hello to me! I'm usually at the team change table that morning. Once the game gets going, I am slammed up until the prizes are awarded, but I would love to be able to put faces with names.

We'll make a point of it! (unless I have to send in a ringer to take mine and Alison's place. If David shows up with a "wife" who looks WAY too young, you'll know what happened!)

ooooooh, Holly, you should!!!!! :lmao: It is getting so good. Last night was great! more twists and turns......
Well, I was given a tiny bit of work to do before lunch, then after lunch it was piled on like crazy. That's they way I like it though because it makes the time go by quickly! Unfortunately, there's a HUGE pile left for the woman I filled in for today. I felt awful about it, but 2 of us were working on it and still couldn't keep up with Mr. Energizer Bunny. :rotfl:

SO.......no watching "Lost" at work. Will be watching here at home though after catching up with you all here!

All different places that I have bookmarked. I get bored and go shopping online for stuff that I'm going to need. Then I bookmark and wait until payday and purchase. It's so easy.

Which ones in particular did you want to know the website for? Or was it for all of them? I'll let you know if you want to.

All please!:cutie:

Also, I'm starting the "raw" diet on Sunday...liquid for one week, and the just raw! Going to make me incredibly grumpy. I have a friend that swears by it...he is going to come on Saturday and make shakes for DH and I for the week. AFTER this diet, then I'll shop for some formals. I have one in my closet I would love to wear...but haven't worn it for about 10 years so not sure it would fit. Maybe after a month of just raw food! Anyone else have experience with this? There is a movie coming out in spring about it. Supposively it has cured some diseases...Oprah has done some shows on it.
Lisa

Lisa - let me know how it goes...I'm willing to try anything!
