That is a bit funny! It reminds me of an episode of the Brady Bunch when Tiger (I think that was the dog's name?) took Cindy's doll and she blamed Bobby....Lisa

Ella, the cat, takes stuff too, but usually it's a rubber band or something that she can play with. Angel, the dog, just wants things that are mine.....the bag of cheerios, the glasses....she'll take whatever she can steal of something that belongs to me.

It really is funny if it's not your stuff being taken.....oh, and trying to figure out that I'm not nuts too.

Hello!

We are visiting Seattle as the first part of our trip before the cruise! Sydney to LAX then Seattle - anything you can recommend that we should do in Seattle - we have already booked our Boeing tours... Thanks!!:)

Make sure you see the Space Needle. Course its been years but Seattle has some great nature walks. Pick up a hiking guide and they have some fabulous nature hikes that you can do as a family. Not very long or as long as you want.

Its been a few years but just before I left there - lived there for 3 years - we managed to do the underground tour of old Seattle. Basically it was discovered that at one time ( I think due to fire) Seattle was rebuilt over old parts of town. Its very old west. There's old drugstores, bath houses, things that you might find interesting. Good for a bit of reminiscing.

Here's another vote for the Underground tour. It was very interesting to go under the city.

Anyone know if it's possible to request to NOT be sat with anyone else for meals?

There are two of us, and I am living in dread of being sat at a table with strangers .... even worse a table for 4 with strangers. How uncomfortable would that be.

We had had plans to sit with some people as dining mates but their situation has changed and so now that has fallen through.

So, what are the chances of the 2 of us not being seated with strangers?

Hi, I hope that you don't mind if I jump in with a Palo question since you are talking about Palo ressies. I was about 12 hours too late from when we could first book at 90 days out. Since then it has said no reservations available. Are they all booked? Or do they only release a small amount? Or is there something wrong with my account? Were most people able to get their reservations?

Thanks for your help.

Each 7 day cruise I have been on the Palos reservations have all been booked before the cruise left. I have heard that DCL holds seats until boarding then those with NO reservations may have a chance.

We were able to get dinner and brunch but not High Tea. All booked. Honestly, I have not tried to check back and visit the :fish:

Hi All.....well, I'm snowed in again.....about 6 inches.....just enough to keep me off the driveway unless it's plowed. John is still working on fixing the truck so that's no help right now. So I'm in the house unless I want to walk it and believe me....we don't want to do that. Talk about a work out!

Stay warm

I'm not Linda, but we're also registered for Basic again this time around. I can't wait!

This will be our third and we can't wait either.

Are you spending the night? Or are you close enough to drive in that morning? We usually do a Priceline hotel the night before and then drive back to San Diego Sunday night.

There's that job thing getting in the way of our Disney stuff again!

Is she too funny and weird or what! She is super smart and understands everything but doesn't listen to me or John at all. She knows what we mean, but she's like the cat, she just doesn't care. Angel and Ella, the cat, are both like that with me and John.

We're taking all 3 of our cats to the vets in about in hour so no one will be listening to us for a while. Well less listening than normal anyway.

Hi guys:

Popping in late tonight asking for some prayers and :wizard:

My MIL has fallen off the wagon and we've found out that my FIL has been enabling her buy buying and bringing her booze. :sad2:

We checked her in the hospital for detox tonight and will most likely get her in the morning and have her stay with us thru the weekend while we look to get her out of town to a rehab clinic.

She has done quite a few programs around here and not had sucess, but always comes home to the same issues with her husband, FIL.

She is at a very low point and during the past New Years holidays she had 2 attempts at suicide. This was not the first time for this all became very clear to us when this all came to light.

Hopefully we have gotten between MIL & FIL this time to get her to a place that she can recover and make better choices. I'm just at a loss. I just spent the last hour online looking and not knowing what and where to turn.

It's hard being the outside DIL the boys (Paul and his brother) aren't assertive with there father and clearly he is not making the situtation better for MIL.

Wish us luck and strenght in dealing with this over the next few days and weeks.

I'll be here as I can, as I know the support you guys offer is so sorely needed to get me thru.

Nan

 I am sure you will be a big help to her. She is fortunate to have your care and assistance. Best wishes!

Jan :earsgirl:

I think it was just my way of fighting the infection from the cellulitis. It's getting better with sleep. But the edema is still badly swollen. It's harder to walk. I'm waiting for the call to get my boot. No news yet.

Could they get you the compression stockings to use until the boot comes in?

Here's the lace dress in blue, but I got it in pink. It's also good for a Palo meal.....I have brunch and tea so I need two dresses. This is one.

This is the new beach Tote bag that I got in blue.

I also got John another set of cuff links in a white medal not yellow. We'll see if he likes these. They're just the mickey head.

Everything looks great!!

You can request that, but not guaranteed. DISers are good tablemates that you get to pick yourself and not take a chance. Although our first few cruises we were just placed with whomever and always had good conversation at dinner.
