Ok, another update on my TMI, so my friend had her kidney ultrasound today....it's just a cyst! YAHOO! We are so excited that she has tentatively received an all clear. She meets with her oncologist tomorrow to discuss the lung blip, hopefully they can compare her CT from last year to this year to see if it was there then. If yes, even better, it could just be a scar from a pulmonary emboliss she had last year. forgive the spelling, i'm no doctor! Anyways, we went out tonight before my puberty party (more later) and celebrated with a glass of wine and alot of smiles.

On another note, tonight I went to a "puberty" meeting at school. To discuss the curriculmn that they will be doing with our kids. Funny enough, I learned 2 things tonight...I didn't know before. AND I'm not sharing. You'll just have to take puberty all over again in school to learn!
AND YES, I was the parent in back giggling when the naked pics came out..hee hee

Great news for your friend :cool1:

And the 5 year old girls win!!!:cutie:

Just done a quick count of the under 18's. I might have made a mistake though. Number in brackets are unconfirmed. Two older guys fit in to the 4 - 7 and 7 - 15 skill range too.

I wonder if I am on the list, I have two boys 11 and 7 and 1 girl 7 so that will bring the ratio up a smidge. I'll pm Lisa my info again to make sure.

ETA: Nevermind, now that Marilyn fixed it they are probably included.

My Batter Blaster was a BUST!

I'd guess it has something to do with being at high altitude, but the kids said it tasted 'funny' and 'horrible'. They have been spoiled by scratch buttermilk pancakes though. I tried 3 batches, cooked on high which made the batter liquify bubble and disappear, medium, and low. The ones that got done were very very thin. The good news is that it is from Costco and I can return it and get my 9.99 back.

We reverted to Eggos...

no no no we have HAPPY COWS and CRAZY PEOPLE...:lmao:

You in NY have CRAZY COWS & Crazy People!!!

I love cows! We used to have between 20 and 30 head in our pasture (depending on new babies and who had been slaughtered! ) I loved sitting on the deck and watching them. They have an incredible social structure in the herd. One year we had 6 babies within a few days (the bull had been busy!) and the moms would set up a "daycare for calves." They would get all the babies in a corner and then a couple of the moms would stay with them and the others would go graze and "rest up without the kids." They would then switch off so each mom had a turn away from the babies. Amazing! They would not let the "adolescent cows" near the babies - they would butt them away - but the "childrend cows" were welcome to nose around the babies and check them out. Very fun to watch!

I noticed people posting that they were mad others had stolen their pictures or stolen their ideas. My thoughts are I don't post anything I don't mind sharing. I found a few people from the Dis willing to make others cool stuff if you pay them though. :)

:sad2:

Well it's official I just got my signed "time off request form" so I will get paid for this cruise. note I didn't say I could come on it cause I was coming weather I got paid or not!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Ok - you guys are giong to be the death of me!!

I think there are about 50 pages to read on the old thread, and now 90+ on this new one!!! OMG! And if today is in any way shape or form like yesterday, I won't be able to even read 1 posting!

Ok - what's the scoop that I need to know before I dive in?? Any news?

I will try to post pics of Sydney's bday tonight....I miss her and Ian already.

Talk to you soon!

Hi, just popping in for a quick minute, I've got to run, off to the doctor's to get some shots

Sorry, if this has been said already, I don't have time to read right now, but AP rates for WDW for May are out now. So anyone staying at WDW before the cruise who has an AP might be able to save some money:thumbsup2 I was staying at CSR and could have opted to stay there with the rate, but I decided to save even more and go to ASMovies, I'm only there for 2 nights and will only be in my room to sleep, that means I've saved even more for DOD'S ;)

Hey Monica,
I made it through my backed up Jane Austen's last night and as things were moving along with Pride and Prejudice I forgot that it was many parts and was frustrated. More tonight. Have you seen the Jane Austen book club?
Kelly

Hi Kelly - I missed this weeks P & P installment as I was at my sister's, but no big deal as I own the DVD set of that version :goodvibes

I haven't seen the Jane Austen Book Club - just seen 1 thing about it so far. Have you seen it? If so, what did you think?

Well it's official I just got my signed "time off request form" so I will get paid for this cruise. note I didn't say I could come on it cause I was coming weather I got paid or not!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Pay is good! :thumbsup2 DrHug doesn't get paid, but I have his May "salary" in a savings now so if he is good to me he will get paid!! :lmao: ;)

A little Happy Birthday to Sophia and Gydell - hope you guys had a great day!

BTW - Gydell - you share my baby niece's bday :thumbsup2

Nan - forgot to ask you this, but what did you decide to do in ACA w/ Molly? I think I remember you telling me that she was too young to do the horseback riding through DCL.

I love the Nut Tree! When I was a little girl and my parents would drive from Southern California to Northern to visit my grandparents, we would stop there. But then they were in the middle of NO WHERE!

Wow, this brings back memories for me as well! I went to school in Sacramento, and I would often drive on weekends to visit my sister in the Bay Area. We would usually stop at the Nut Tree on the way home. What a blast from the past!!!

Wow, not many kids at all.. and my sister is the ONLY 17 year old!

Yes, and my DS is the only 16 year old! I'm kind of hoping there are other teens on the cruise that aren't aware of DIS.

BTW, although there aren't many teens in this group, my 2 are interested in chatting ahead of time, so if any of your teens are interested, let me know. They both posted a message in the kids' Yahoo group, but it's pretty quiet and mostly younger kids.
