Does anyone watch Jon and Kate plus 8? It's a cute show...way too many kids for me, but gosh..how much do you think TLC pays them to take them all the time. I've always been curious about that. I just learned that the Suitcase girls from deal or no deal make over 100k! and they only work 5-6 times a month! What a deal.

All I can think is 8 college funds, .

Yeah I was doing some of that stuff, however Disney Visa is only available in the US, so I can't get one of those. My wife was quite disappointed when we discovered that. Thanks for thinking of me though!

Ok, and for the record. I am not an alcoholic. I know I profess my love of libations on this board, but at home I never drink. Even in social situations, it's very rare, cause I'm usually driving myself home and I want to make it there!
So when I go on vacation, I go WILD. No driving, means I can imbibe.

We must be soul sisters

I rarely if ever drink "in real life" since I am driving kids around all the time and also with my daughter, I want to be ready to pick up and spend time in the hospital if needed at a moments notice ... but ... on the ship I can relax and enjoy a beverage (or three or five)

This just brought back a bad memory! While living in Japan and visiting Chinatown I actually had to drink a soup with live goldfish in it!! And then yes, you swallow them! Horrible...but I did it!!! Wouldn't recommend it! So watch out what you're drinking!!!

Has anyone ever stayed at Coronado Springs? I am thinking of staying there when Vanessa's sister comes from Norway next month?

Lisa - we did about 3 years ago. They had just remodeled the pool I think - it was nice - but they stuck us out in the boon docks. We had to walk about 10 minutes from the main entrance where all the goodies are. It was nice. Definitely worth a try if you want it. We stayed there in 3 rooms as we had my mom and dad and all the kids with us - WDW is definitely not geared to a family of 5.

I have a Lifestyle photo confession to make...I forced my children (& husband) to dress and pose for pictures EVERY NIGHT

All of them have told me that they refuse to take pictures on this upcoming cruise like we did last time. What am I going to do?????

I so treasure these photos. They are a window into the memories of that trip, which was the best (so far).

I have this rule - if you want to go on the cruise - DS is 21 and DD 20 - youngest is 14 - then you HAVE to take at least 1 formal picture. I then release you from attending dinner with us. Which of course he usually ends up staying for. But try and work out a compromise - BTW, this is the only way I will ever get my entire family in one shot. The girls aren't the problem, its the boy! But what can I expect from a man-child?

I just googled to see if what they made was public knowledge. There are some real Kate bashers out there. It was pointed out that their show is heavy on the product placement of advertiser's goods. There was also a lot of talk about her soliciting freebies and donations and talk of society's responsibility to help raise high order multiples because of the pressure to have kids, huh? Last someone had picked up Jon's comments about not wanting more kids after the twins but compromising with Kate because that is what you do.

I'll say that watching this show has made me more aware of how I talk to DH, who really is a very supportive and involved dad. I'm resolving to be less Kate-ish.

I'm SO behind - I didn't even know about the meet you just had! We'd love to do a meet.

Amesmom/Lori - I still haven't told the boys yet about the cruise so when Owen got Ben's email I did some fast talking! We need to tell them soon, just thinking of the perfect moment. I told him..."oh, we might do this thing, and Ben is on it, and oh what show is on TV now?" I got his attention away, so please tell Ben he was very interested but I had to deter him so Ben didn't have to "spill the beans"!

I saw Noel has been going through some illnesses...hope all ends up ok. She will be missed. Have I missed anything else? Lisa

Wow! Being a single dad, working, and taking time for the kids, it is real hard to keep up with the 50 pages a day of reading in the late nights after I get the kitchen cleaned! I need a cruise!!! Did I miss anything interesting from the start of this new thread?? Not sure if I will have the time to go back and read the past posts. Hope everyone is well. Still in the Life Boats; and yes I know they are working on 3 cruises a week prior to ours! I think I really need a beer!! Will room service send me a fresh mug to my life boat??

Well, as I was once told - what they don't know won't hurt them. I was once told by a cast member (Splash Mountain had broken down and he had to escort us off the the ride) I asked if anyone had ever taken some behind the scenes shots and could we? His answer to us was - we wouldn't like it but we really couldn't stop it. And no - I didn't take shots as I left my camera in the locker thanks to DH!

I did not know of a meeting on 9th, thanks. I'm sure we can work it in. We will be in DTD for dinner and Disney Quest.

I think this is just the meet before the cruise - to introduce ourselves and pick up lanyards, etc... it will be very nice to get to know everyone we've been talking to all these months...

& then I'm going to Dinner at Fultons...

Just as long as you are not driving the boat... we're fine... & no...I generally don't drink at home either, but I'm going to be collecting anything made with Tequilla as we go along...
