michelle, I have in the past asked for the veg of one meal to be put with the meat of another meal. It has never been an issue in the past.

Pj

This just brought back a bad memory! While living in Japan and visiting Chinatown I actually had to drink a soup with live goldfish in it!! And then yes, you swallow them!:scared1: Horrible...but I did it!!! Wouldn't recommend it! So watch out what you're drinking!!!

Why did ya HAVE to do that???

Lisa - we did about 3 years ago. They had just remodeled the pool I think - it was nice - but they stuck us out in the boon docks. We had to walk about 10 minutes from the main entrance where all the goodies are. It was nice. Definitely worth a try if you want it. We stayed there in 3 rooms as we had my mom and dad and all the kids with us - WDW is definitely not geared to a family of 5.

I have this rule - if you want to go on the cruise - DS is 21 and DD 20 - youngest is 14 - then you HAVE to take at least 1 formal picture. I then release you from attending dinner with us. Which of course he usually ends up staying for. But try and work out a compromise - BTW, this is the only way I will ever get my entire family in one shot. The girls aren't the problem, its the boy! But what can I expect from a man-child?:confused3

Mine will no doubt dress up for formal, my guys in tuxes and we'll take pictures. But I can't count on pictures everyday this trip.:sad2:

When ordering Wilson's tux I asked him black or white and he said "Mom I don't care, just tell me what to wear" I've raised him from little little boyness to wear whatever makes mommy happy :goodvibes

Marilyn, when do you arrive at WDW? We have booked CSR Nov29-Dec7.

Still GTY for this cruise:rolleyes:

Kathe

We are there from 30th Nov-17th Dec at SSR.

Nothing exciting - went to my parents. Everyone gave me money so that was good!

Money is always good!

Drum roll please .... 2.5 more pounds gone (okay yes I wanted it to be more!!)

I am very impatient (and very hungry for reeses miniatures and red vine licorice for some reason)

But, my clothes are no longer shrinking on me. Must be the new laundry detergent :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2:

:tinker: Karen

Well done on the weight loss. I need that laundry detergent!!!:lmao:

Good job. I've ACTUALLY started dieting instead of just SAYING I am. I'm tired of feeling all stiff and achy all the time.

Now I'm off to cruise critic to read up on some of the excursion I already booked. :woohoo:

.

Jackie, you can shift quite a bit of weight in 11+ weeks. I'm on the way now(for now anyway!! )All the best.

With so many of us facing various challenges with health, family, and just life in general ...

A bit of inspiration/motivation from Wicked (Elfaba in Defying Gravity):

"I'm thru accepting limits 'cuz someone says they're so
Some things I cannot change, but 'til I try I'll never know"

Hugs to everyone  Just think ... we will onboard the MAGIC in just 82 days!! :woohoo:

:tinker: Karen

:thumbsup2

I find the light while people are text messaging extremely distracting too!

Friends took John and me to see POTC3 for John's 60th. Sue next to me was texting almost the whole time! I could see the light in the corner of my eye whatever I did.:confused3 :sad2:

I was also surprised in the theatre onboard last cruise with all the camera/video screens I could see too. flashes from photography was annoying as well.:sad2:

M&M's, Skittles, and Malt Balls for us! We had nachos and cheese when we saw POC3

Don't drop the Malt Balls in the cinema!!!:lmao:

OMG the other day I saw peanut butter malt balls at walmart. Will power won out and I have not tried them yet.

Yuk.

Hi guys, I had to pop in and say Hi we're home to our No. CA mini meet friends...I would have been her sooner, but Molly had to get setup on Webkinz, so you know that means she will soon need to be chatting or chasing or webbing whatever they do with Jacinda and Taylor. I'll pm you here info...the name she desired was taken already.

It was so fun to meet up like this so glad we did it. I think the girls will have a blast running all over the ship, watch out gang the No. Ca girls are in action. We need to come up with a name for them huh?

And the three of us moms can eat our way thru the dessert tables and end up in the bar :lmao: I think people here may already have a name for us...:scared1: :lmao: :rotfl:

Okay, must get back to reading page 14 and get some work done too, so I'll poke in as I can today...

Ciao,

N

Glad you had a lovely meet. Dessert buddies!

PLEASE, pretty please tell us what detergent that is!!

ACTUALLY--GOOD GOING!! CONGRATULATIONS!

Jan :earsgirl:

We need this information!!:rotfl:

I'm SO behind - I didn't even know about the meet you just had! We'd love to do a meet.

Amesmom/Lori - I still haven't told the boys yet about the cruise so when Owen got Ben's email I did some fast talking! We need to tell them soon, just thinking of the perfect moment. I told him..."oh, we might do this thing, and Ben is on it, and oh what show is on TV now?" I got his attention away, so please tell Ben he was very interested but I had to deter him so Ben didn't have to "spill the beans"!

I saw Noel has been going through some illnesses...hope all ends up ok. She will be missed. Have I missed anything else? Lisa

I'll pester you to join us. Looks like it might be a an indoor dodge ball place. I thought your boys would like that.

I have come to the realization that I'm not going to be able to wear my two new dresses for formal nights on this cruise. I'm glad I got them two sizes smaller and that I have them. I'll save them for a future day. It's going to take me longer than the time I have left before this cruise to lose the weight I need to lose. I'm not losing it like I was before I stopped smoking. I've stuck to my diet strictly this week and didn't lose anything. Because I noticed that I have replaced cigarettes with food. I constantly eat cheerios and I'll have two diet snacks a day instead of one and I'll have a fruit and a yogurt instead of one or the other. I'm still dieting strictly, but I'm eating continuously. That will slow down over time, but I'm still new at this not smoking thing....and I need the cheerios and food for now.

I guess I'll be wearing my old dresses to formal nights this cruise. I'll save my new dresses for another cruise and strive to get there at a later time. I'm not going to make it in the next two months.

Deb,

So proud of you for your continued non-smoking! This is so important and everything else will just fall into place in time.

You will look fab in your other wonderful dresses, I am certain, and wish I could see you in them in person!:thumbsup2

Karen

Because I'm home from work today, I had the opportunity to call Cruise Line Formal and inquire about the rental of tails.

It was really sort of funny. I asked about a Disney Cruise and said I was interested in renting tails, and the woman thought I want to rent a tail, as in rent a mouse tail.

The long and short of it is, they do not rent tails or cut-away jackets. Just what they show in their catalogue.

I'm rather disappointed. I was really looking forward to wearing tails. I had visions of a 1930's Hollywood movie.

This is what I had in mind:

You can get a tux with tails if you want, I bought one on e-bay and it cost me less than the rental cost. as an added bonus I get to wear it anytime I feel like it. Really perks up those parent teacher conferences.

Hey Karen .. it's me Karen :rotfl:

What flight are you on from LAX to MCO. We are taking United 0066 (10:10p - 5:50a).

Congrats.
We are SO going to get along!! :)

:thumbsup2

We don't buy from there. Get some chicken strips and a soda from deck 9 to take with you! popcorn::

They crunch!!:lmao:

OMG what am I going to do? My favorite movie candy is Crunch Bites! It comes in a loud box and well the name says it all CRUNCH! :lmao: Guess I will have to resort to eating whole packages of twizzlers. I can do that pretty darn stealthily :rolleyes1

:rolleyes1

Daniel and I are AIMing right now.

He comes home in 10 days for spring break..I did not realize it was that soon!!

He will be home 10 days, and I am trying to talk him into working while home.

That will soon pass. Especially with you being as busy as you are right now.

I can't wait until the Disney cruise.
Good night, Ben.
:beach:  :dance3:

(From my DS10 who should be in bed now)

Hi Ben, we can't wait either.:dance3:

I agree, I also think that if you are keeping steady on the weight even tho your edema is getting worse, you probably really are losing and will come out ahead when you get it resolved.

Remember last time Deb, when it cleared up you suddenly lost loads of weight.

Here are the shirts and design that Karl-surf2di4 made. Let him know what you all think.

Speaking for myself (although I'm sure I speak for others), we'd rather you in some old dress as a non-smoker and healthy than a fancy new one. I'm sure you will look wonderful in your dress and congrats on staying with it all!
Lisa

That's a good way to look at it Lisa. Very helpful.

Jacinda had so much fun. She is already pitching ideas for meeting up again. Also she had so much fun (and candy) she is tired! She just went off to get into bed as she has school tomorrow and is really worn out. Shopping will do that to you!

What a lovely name - Jacinda. Never heard it at UK?

 I love ebay...what am I going to do:rolleyes1

Well Give it up:lmao:

Shame on me, you did it perfectly, except for getting rid of my fat.:lmao:

No, you all looked great:thumbsup2

Here's a picture of us in our Dodgeball costumes for the last MNSSHP we went to - with Tigger!

100_1606.jpg

Lovely photo, my neice is crazy of Tigger!!

Yeah I was doing some of that stuff, however Disney Visa is only available in the US, so I can't get one of those. My wife was quite disappointed when we discovered that. Thanks for thinking of me though!

same at UK well.

OMG- What will V do? Ebay strike to start Monday!!!

EBay users plan to show their dismay with new fee and policy changes by staging a week-long boycott starting Monday, Fortune Small Business reported.

Sellers at Ebay have the biggest complaints, saying that the new rules will cost them more money by adding higher final-value fees. EBay also plans to reward top sellers with priority status in searches so that their names come up more frequently and higher up than low-volume sellers.

Another problem sellers have with the new policies is that the feedback system that many rely on to help them weed out bad buyers will be dismantled. This, they say, will make it easier for negligent bidders and scammers to cheat them, reported Fortune Small Business.

EBay spokesman Usher Lieberman said that they have good reasons for their fee and policy changes and that it was “still premature for us to speculate” about the effects of the proposed boycott.
this is great for me! We'll be eating rice and beans for a while with this new car....and I need to purge and sell all the junk in my house!:rotfl:

One more special message from DS10 for all you Ebay fans out there: This is a link to the Weird Al Yankovic song about Ebay that DS10 has been playing endlessly for the past few days. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYokLWfqbaU This is just for you V!:rotfl:
:lmao:

I think Mexican means a few different ideas, but the most popular here are for the guys a guayabera shirt. Best to google them.
They are also known as Mexican wedding shirts.

We have difficulty getting them over here in the UK, so I think John will probably just wear a linen shirt.well trousers too of course.:lmao:

Thanks - no Mexican wedding shirts for us - DH has a Hawiian Wedding Shirt - hum...

Now for me???????

Hi All, I haven't fallen off the planet. I've been busy working 3p-11p for the last few days. I head off again in a few minutes for a day shift.

Does any one know if they sell clothing at Mexico in Epcot?

Thanks.

Yes they do - I purchased a friend an embroidered dress there last year for her birthday - not sure what else they have.

I've noticed in the watchlist that lots of people rent bikes to it. Would you suggest this, or is it an easy walk from the family beach? (Hopefully we are talking about the same one as there are 3 there).

We think it is an easy walk to the family beach - but if you do not want to walk there are a well timed series of shuttles that take you too and fro.

On the last PC cruise, my husband and I checked in 6 suitcases with the porters. They gave us extra luggage tags right at the port. What I did was pre-type us labels with all our information and stateroom number and then I just stuck it on. They wrote our stateroom number with a black sharpie big so they could easily see it.

Also, inside the bag, I put an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper with our name, address, stateroom number and cell phone numbers on just in case the luggage tags come off. It has been known to happen before! Then when DCL opens the luggage to see if they can identify it, they know exactly where to find me!

Thanks for the tips....we will do this.

And note to self - and others - this is a good tip for carry-ons as well...It has been know to happen that DH checks these when I am off parking the car - and the carry on had breakables, and no ID.....A great cast member found it for us....
