Giving us a nickname already! We had a great time too. Taylor wants to do another mini meet before the trip. We'll have to see if we can plan something in April. There's a cool place in pleasanton called Super Franks, we can have all the kids come, indoor golf, dodge ball. Just a thought.....

I took my DD to the ortho, bought dogfood, picked up carne asada (yum), cooked dinner (again carne asada yum), sat everyone down to watch a "family movie" ... The Astronaut Farmer, and now have caught up on DIS. Wheew!!

Holly, we are about 3 hours away from Jackson. We go every summer and dd skates there in March. If you want really good rates in March of 09, the skating competition group rates are incredible! You can just be visiting us.

Michelle.....stand tall and proud of the woman that you have become.....own it......don't let them belittle you down to their level. You deal with mourning for your dad in whatever way it affects you and the rest of them be of no consequence.

Good Luck, chin up.....go for the gusto in life. Listen, if you're ever afraid to do something, just do it and you'll be happy that you did. It will work out for you and having a friend for support is the best way to go.

What a wonderful friend. Great that it is a guy too. I think those who want to be annoying are less likely to do so infront of a stranger, but when it is a person they know, who is a guy, they are even more likely to zip it.

While this will be a hard event, this all should make it bearable.

Thank you both... you are right... I am very lucky to have someone who I have been friends with since I was a year old there to help me get through things. Sometimes we want to kill each other - knowing each other that long can do that to you, but in the end, we are always there for each other...

So Tyler finished his homework and was headed to do his cruise countdown paper chain, but got distracted and wanted to make a project for me. Not sure why he's stalling about the paper chain. He says he really wants to make one, but I'm wondering if he's afraid to because he might still have doubts about us going since I cancelled a couple vacations recently? Well, I keep assuring him every day that we're going for sure now! I guess he'll just see when we get there!

Tell Tyler that I'm counting on him to finish the chain for me so I know when to pack my stuff and meet him on the cruise!!!

So Tyler was coloring a picture in a Scooby Doo coloring book where Scooby & Shaggy are dressed as leprechauns. He asked me, "Do St. Patrick's Day people have green coats?" I asked him if he meant leprechauns & he told me yes, then asked, "What are leprechauns?" Not quite sure how to explain that one. Will google it tonight unless somebody here has a quick and easy answer? I told him they're tiny people, sort of like elves, who guard pots of gold and that I'd get more info for him later. That worked for now.
