If you do, I have a 13yog who would be SO thrilled to get one. She's trying to collect them but we make her buy most of them herself, so she usually only get one per trip. It's going slow and she never trades them because she's so attached to every one!

:thumbsup2 SHIP OF THIEVES PIN TRADING EVENT :thumbsup2
How about all the pin owners who have pins to spare bring those extras for a special event. Choose a place--like Deck 3 Lobby and ask if there can be a table, or even use a beach towel solid color up on the floor. Lay out the pins!!

Other thieves could check them out. There needs to be a plan though.

Is there trading or just choose your favorite to keep?

Are only the kids be the recipients? or adults too?

OR
those with extra pins can use them as their Fish Extender gifts.

Jan :earsgirl:

:rolleyes1 I have no stake in this because I have no extra pins and no fish extender.
I just have an overactive imagination. :rolleyes1

OK, FIRST OF ALL, :confused3 DO YOU WANT HIM TO DRIVE? :confused3

With a left arm that is not working, I think no driving. I do not want anyone driving who cannot get both hands on that wheel EFFECTIVELY!!

I forget how old he is, but should he get a driver's license at all??? Maybe you can bribe one of these MDs to insist he not drive any more? It is always easier on the family if one of the MDs plays "bad cop" unless, of course, you really know a "bad cop."

Jan :earsgirl:

You know when my grandfather was in his final years he was still driving. It scared the heck out of me not only because I was afraid he would die in a crash but also because I worried he would take others with him! I offered to drive him to Doctors appointments and little by little just sort of took over his driving places. I had to kind of force my way in at first since he thought he was fine. He was well over 80 and should not have been allowed to drive but he kept getting his CA Drivers license. How I have no idea, why they allowed it I have no idea. :confused3

I think I will tell my kids when I am 80 years old they need to hire me a driver or arrange for some sort of ride for me to go places. I do not want to be a menace on the road unknowingly. :scared:

They ran out in Dec. So many people on cpaps now I guess. We had borrowed one our first cruise way back, always brought our own until last Dec when we forgot. We did not think about it until bed time and by then all were loaned out.

Was skimming through some old posts and saw this. A few years ago I picked up a 10 foot flat extension cord from CVS. Works great for CPAP, etc., lies flat on floor and packs very compactly. Was only about $5 too and has 3 outlets, so great for recharging plugs too.

Where do the bedside table lamps plug in? We don't have a cpap so never had to think about it, but would there be a spare socket there?

Jan :earsgirl:

Angie.....you and PJ.....and I'm assuming Dr. Hug too.....are all going to be on the same excursion as me and John and Venetia and Bubba to watch the cliff divers. I think we should all sit at the same table and have cocktails while we're watching the show. Cheers to our DIS family having fun on the best cruise of our lives!

are you going on an DCL excursion or stalking Gydell???

That is good to know. I will mention it to DH. We'd like MIL to travel with us, but I know she'd use missing her meetings as a reason not to join us. This could be a solution.:yay:

I'd have to look back on my navigators, but I think they held meetings every morning.

He could just wear them around his neck . . . no weight limit there.

He could, but his neck is already loaded down with straps from camera bag, computer bag and cpap bag. Look at his avatar.....that is truely Dennis when he travels!

I know, I know . . . Amy has Laura's Bio too . . . I was just being funny . . .

I know, you are funny! He tell Amy when you talk with her that we saw Bill O'Reilly last night. It was very good. She is one who will appreciate!

Does anyone know if DCL does/would hold Weight Watchers meetings onboard? The only time I successfully lost weight was with Weight Watchers (which means I'd better start going again if I'm going to lose this weight before the cruise. 12 pounds to go). Anyway, DCL has the Friends of Bill W. meetings. I just wondered about WW since we'll be onboard for 2 weeks.

Seems to me the adult clubs are empty some of the daytime hours. Perhaps a WW meeting could be held in one. And if the WW members wanted to help each other at meals to make good choices, what a bonus! Having others know what we are trying to do makes such a difference.

Then, if someone had an overzealous server, the other WW buddies could help out. We had a Palo server who brought me a chocolate souffle even though I specifically asked for no dessert. I was stuffed to the gills. No room for a dessert. Determined to make good choices. And politely had declined. He brought it ANYWAY. I did not eat any. He was upset. I told him I had not asked for it and did not want it. He said I would like it. I said i did not want it.

We do not need to have to JUSTIFY our choices to others. They push food on us. We have to deal with the scale when we get home.

BUT--WW BUDDIES in the diningroom!! If someone has trouble, then there could be a DISTRESS SIGNAL and others could come running to SUBDUE the ZEALOUS SERVER and help the WW Member TAKE CONTROL!!

Is it obvious to anyone that I am still sick?

Jan :earsgirl:

PS: THIEVES PIN-PALOOZA could be held in one of the empty clubs too and they have TABLES!!

This the locks webcam page, send it to everyone you know that will be home.

Pj

Not sure what time we are supposed to be going through there, but to heck with sending that link to people who are at home!! I'm sending it to my staff and am expecting screen captures from them to prove they were at work (while I was at play)!! ;) :lmao:

It'll be a Friday so none of them should say they were too busy ... :rotfl:

Im sorry got I gotta interject here.
HAVING A WEIGHT WATCHERS MEETING ON A CRUISE SHIP IS LIKE HAVING FRIENDS OF BILL W MEETING AT THE JACK DANIELS DISTILLERY!!!!

more power to you though.

I actually lost weight on my last cruise because fresh fruit and veggies and grilled chicken were easily available. And I walked all over the ship.

c-ya there

We can laugh at everybody all dressed up in costumes while we are comfortable in our shorts and flip flops.....(I really don't even dress for dinner....I guess I shoudl have told my group this, before they decided to eat with me......)

It doesn't matter what you wear, just as long as you are there....

(so every guy, grab a girl, everywhere around the world and we'll be dancing, dancing in the street.....:rolleyes1 )

Off to see the Spiderwick Movie...I still have 20 pages to read.....back later....

Oh, I want to hear about that one too!

They are not mad at you, they are mad at
"The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune."
(Didn't somebody famous like Shakespeare write that?)

Jan :earsgirl:

::yes:: Oh man, she brings up Shakespeare on a day I'm in a quoting mood. Good thing (for you all) I'm WAY to lazy to type out THAT soliloquy! :lmao:

But I will leave you with a little bit of Shakespeare anyway:

Good night, good night
parting is such sweet sorrow
that I shall say good night till it be morrow.

.

That I could do. In fact, I used to have one, but it is shrunk up so much that I couldn't wear it anymore. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: Maybe I will see if my friend can pick me up something in Tijuana. He goes there everyday.

I can't figure it out. Even my 'non-shrink' shirts are shrinking. ????:confused3

Maybe someone else on the cruise could use a small Mexican shirt--Tyler or Wilson of one of the other young fellows?

Should we have a clothing swap as well as pin swap, poker, WW, bunco, scrapbooking, Champagne party, Beer Boys Blast, Taquilla tasting, belly flop competition, Mickey slide off, and stair climb?

Jan :earsgirl:

Who keeps telling me I am overtired and should go to bed.....:confused3
