No patty fingers if you please.

Did you see that the same person that won the bid also paid $76 for a used Burberry sweatsuit for a 3 month old.

Hmm after looking they have bought a lot of custom Mickey Mouse stuff too. They may be one of us!

Does Dominos Pizza still have their 30 minute guarantee for delivery? Or did that disappear in the 80s?

Our Dominos always quotes us 30-45 minutes. I think there were accidents caused by drivers so they did away with the delivery in 30 minutes.

Can you take someone with you? Perhaps the others would be polite if you had a "stranger" along?

Where is the event likely to be? I'm in Indy, if it was here, I would go with you.

If it is near where you live now, I would wish I still lived in Petersburgh and then I could go with you, but that is were we lived 4 houses and 20+ years ago.

Jan :earsgirl:

That is great advice! Types who act like that usually try to cover it up in fron tof others to keep up their "act".

Forgive me if I am too punchy here, but it took me 2 days to get home from Florida. My Ft Myers flight was delayed because of freezing rain in Atlanta and I missed my connecting flight to SLC, the last one of the night. Everyone on the flight missed thier connections and there was a lot of yelling at the flight attendants and even more yelling at the gate agents. I went to the crown room, and no joke, burst into tears. I wanted to go home so bad! I think because I was the first person not to yell, they were so nice! There was no need for yelling, it is an act of god. Anyway, they forced me on to the first flight out at six fifty, it was overbooked and had a waitlist of over 40. Then they gave me a free hotel night and a tshirt to sleep in. My only question is. why doesn't anyone sell saline solution? Seriously, no one with contacts has ever been layed over in an airport?

Anyway, the morning flight was delay another 1 1/2 in the morning while we were sitting on the ground with no heat, due to mechanical problems. I wore the same yicky clothes for 2 days and my contact is glued to my eyeball and I wanted to kiss the ground when I finally got to my car.

what a day...

Wow that is not a pleasant way to spend a couple days but it does make the homecoming sweeter. Lets hope since you went through this it will not happen to you again.

Hmmmm.....speaking of jewelry, I wonder if I should bring my display jewelry on the cruise, people could borrow if needed (with some sort of sign out sheet), and I could do a jewelry show on a sea day. Could be fun trying on jewelry at sea! :thumbsup2

I peeked at the links I got from you and will be ordering things. I want my stuff before the cruise though LOL but I would show up for a show if you were to have one.

DrHug should be on his way home now. Looks like I will be able to stay up and give him a big ol' Valentine smooch! I'm gonna tell him John was making fun of his shoes too! :lmao:
Reminds me of a story! He used to wear Hush Puppies, the ones that were slip on. The flap on the top would flip up sometimes and our girls (young teen and pre teen at the time) called them his nerd shoes! :lmao: We were in Idaho with friends who had a nice boat. Our friend pulled the boat up on a beach on the lake. The bow was quite high off the beach and DrHug was standing up there. He noticed his shoe flipped up and for some unknown reason he yelled "Nerd Shoe!":confused3 getting the attention of everyone on the shore (including manly young men and lovely young ladies) and then slipped and launched himself over the railing, scraping the hair off his shin on the way (left a little furrow of hair on the rail), and landed right on his chest on the ground! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: Lucky he did not kill himself!! :rotfl: He was limping for awhile! We of course have had many laughs at his expense! :rotfl: :rotfl2: This was 25 years or so ago and the kids will still every once in a while say Nerd Shoe!! and laugh!

Well 2 in the morning and I am laughing out loud here!

Sophia
Party tomorrow is at 1:45. Poor kid invited 25 kids, and only about 10 have RSVP'd. Only one called to say she can't come. One (the Miss Popular of the class) called to say she was coming, and then at dance this week told Sophia she decided to go to another party - Sophia had gone to hers.

Oh, how I hate this kind of stuff!

Well those 10 that do show up are going to have a great time in that place by themselves. And since I had to plan for 25, I ordered a big cake so they can stuff themselves on cake too.

It will be interesting though to see if any show up without RSVP'ing.

Catch you guys later tomorrow.

Try not to start another thread by then!:rotfl:

:sad2:

Tell Sophia have a great day with 10, better than nothing.

If any Cake left, just send over to Scottish :) :rotfl:

I wanted to thank everyone for their :grouphug: and thoughts about my headaches. I am feeling much better about it now. I made an appointment for a week from monday and was told to try nasal spray next time I got a bad headache. I needed to tell someone what was going on and knew I could come on here.:grouphug:

It is not nice to have headaches.:sad2:

Beautiful baby! Analise (I think it is pronounced the same) is the Barbie character from Princess and the Pauper. She was my daughter's favorite when she liked Barbie movies.

I saw my mom over Christmas. She commented on my recent weight loss by saying " You can really tell you've lost weight, you can see it in your face. When your face was fuller you had less wrinkles" :faint:

Oh geez! Well congrats on the weight loss!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

On our last cruise I took a lanyard of pins that I no longer cared a lot about. There was one 11 year old girl at our dinner table. She and her mother were from Mexico, knew limited English but did their best to communicate with us. I asked her if she was going to get some pins and she said her Mother said they were too expensive. I put a lanyard over hear head and transferred my expendable pins to her lanyard. The look on her face was PRICELESS.

AHH--a new shirt design:

A collection of pins that sit in a bag $ ??
A collection of lanyards that hang on a hook $ ??
The look on a young girl's face when she is given them all--PRICELESS

Jan :earsgirl:

Ahh that was so great of you to do that! Hey I have a bunch of pins that I need to gift away as well! I might bring them along and play santa to some people with them aas well. I would be in the right crowd for it!

Well, at least yours are out of the bag.

Every time I go to DTD, those people with the binders frighten me!
:lmao:

Sophia is begging for the next chapter of the "Chamber of Secrets" so it will be reading and off to bed for us.

We ate a late lunch/early dinner, went to get new dance shoes, had to run in to the office to handle a problem, and then went to a HS basketball game.

wish we could come!!!

I can't sleep - I guess 6am isn't all that early.

I did the same thing. I ordered one from Shirley also for Jamie's birthday cruise last year when she turned 15. I thought it was a lot of money for what we got also. What I did last cruise was I ran to the room and had pre-made a card from Mickey and it had a charm bracelet and then each night while Jamie was in the Teen Loft I put a charm on her pillow from "Mickey" so when she came in at 2 a.m. each night she looked on her pillow before going to bed. Mickey told her in the card with the bracelet to look on her pillow each night for a gift to go with the theme for the day. It was alot of fun and I didn't spend anywhere near what I did for the basket!

That was a really thoughtful and sweet gift to give her. She now has something to treasure forever and to remind her of the great trip too.

My daughter had two parties this past November. One was a more "private" party to go see Hannah. For the other one I had her invite her whole class, all of Scouts, all of Soccer and all of her friends from our club. SO tons of kids invited and only 12 rsvps. Night of party came and there were almost forty kids there! I was always taught you had to rsvp. When I was younger you did it to be polite no matter if you were coming or not. That just does not seem to be the case any longer I guess.

As long as you make her day special which I am sure you will she will not care who or how many of the kids show. She will just remember she had fun. :)
