Does anyone wonder where I have BEEN mentally lately?

I'll never forget the one time in 7th grade when I asked to go somewhere she was going and she told me no because she would be embarrassed to be seen with somebody so overweight.

Oh My!! MIL was like that with everyone. We went to visit when oldest DD was 16 and her first comment to her was "you've gained weight, haven't you?" This is not our thin DD, but one that struggles to keep her weight down. But at that time she was very active, a cheer leader and in no way over weight. Anyway, Grandma might just have well have reached over and slapped her in the face. I found her in the bedroom later crying. Had to take her for a drive and tell her Grandma is just a jealous person and it is her not you.

I guess you can find anything on Ebay. Poor Bobby . . . only 3.99 . . . I wonder if the lady that paid $700 for that outfit saw him? Maybe we should email it to her?

I think of all the souveniers we have purchased and almost all of them are in the bags in the closet......

Every time I empty a suitcase for another trip, it seems I find a bag of Disney pins. I bet I have loads of them. I thought I was going to collect them, then I thought I would do some kind of shadow box frame with them, but ultimately, they just sit in bags. The only real souvenirs we have that are always out are our pictures.

Hey that happened to my daughter and her family on one of our disney cruises. They were cat 12. They got upgraded to a cat 9, but then their room was having a really bad problem and that was one of the cabins (cat 4)available. They were beside themselves. Bad thing about it they were way forward and we were as far aft as one can get. I only visited them once.

I got about two hours of sleep and never worked so hard in my life. I need a vacation!

We were going on a cruise. Our stateroom was the oddest layout of any room I have ever seen in any place. It was not cleaned up, the beds were unmade, food wrappers were lying around, empty wineglasses abounded, a cigar butt was on top of a dresser and there was a cheese tray sitting on a table that had been there long enough for the cheese to get crusty and all the crackers were gone.

There were three doors to the room and people kept walking in the two that connected to a party room and used our room for a place to chat or snack. In spite of this my sons were sleeping. I had no idea where my Daughter-in-law was.

When I tried to get someone to assist me, I discovered people on deck, in the dark, lining up to get off for an excursion through a factory. It made sense at the time, but I think it was a factory that made ICEBERGS. Children were getting separated from their parents and no one seemed to mind except me.

I could not find DH no matter where I looked.

I do not want to cruise on THAT line again!!

I find that so sad Angie! My MIL would be just the same, in fact still is. One of her granddaughters is 36 this year and quite big - always has been unless she has dieted for ages. She is also unmarried but is doing really well with her career. MIL said to us last time. 'If only Liz would lose weight - she is huge'. MIL obviously tells her parents too but gets short shift from them. No wonder Liz doesn't visit too often.

PJ has done a great and awesome job . . . not that I want to make more work for her, but those of you who have not sent photos to her need to send them so that we can recognize you. It is also sad seeing some of the photos of those who are now no longer on the cruise, that we have gotten to know over the past year.

Amy's dad is like this. He is remarried, and his new wife (interesting story, but he got married a day or two after Amy had our son, Alex. She was still in the hospital, he was in ICU, and her dad asked me to be best man at the wedding. Talk about a strange conflict) is a very svelte woman. Amy and her sisters have battled weight for a long time - and when we were dating I did not know it at first, but Amy was suffering from an eating disorder. I think it had a lot to do with her dad and his attitude.

Kaylee's off skiing, but do we have anybody else here from Washington? A friend of mine is in Seattle until Monday for work (has been there a week I think) and is having trouble finding a bar that serves Miller Lite. I think he's full of beans, but that's what he says. Anybody know a good place?

Also, he's going on Saturday to Anacortes to take a ferry to San Juan Islands he says. Says it's about $10 to go from one island to another. Anything else he should know in advance?

He did the Space Needle on Wednesday, anything else that's a must see?

We've been to Seattle a few times, but was not our favorite so other than the Space Needle I can't make any recommendations. But, just a question....why would he WANT Miller lite?? The Northwest is really into the Micro Brews, he should give some a try. A good barkeep should be able to help him find some he will like knowing that Miller is his fav.

Hey I have already ordered from Shirley. I just ordered a medium bucket for my daughter. It will have juice, M&M's, and other goodies in it. I am excited. It was REALLY expensive...so I hope it is worth it. Frankly, I was shocked at the price. But I know she will want a bucket and stuff for the beach. Ugh.

OK John, it's a deal! But there are no takers for Bobby! Come on everybody, he really wants to fill more pages in his passport. It's lots of fun to have a giant banana around! Just PM me or John....or maybe both so I know where to send his suitcase. Sound good? Hmmm....how to explain to Tyler that Bobby's suitcase is leaving, but leaky Bobby is staying. MIght be better to have leaky Bobby "disappear" at the same time as the suitcase. Then there will be no questions. I've already told him Bobby's ready to continue his travels so he can visit more fellow cruisers. Tyler tells me it's OK because he knows he'll get to see Bobby again on the cruise.

So glad it's Friday! So wish I didn't have to work Monday. All the ad agencies are closed, my sales team in LA is closed and we aren't! My team-mate and I are planning a verrrrrryyyyy looooonnnng lunch together and I'll probably get in some DIS time too! Maybe I'll bring in my trip folder and organize it, reprint some of the stuff I've written all over and print a nice cover page!

Just, once again, would like to say how much I enjoy seeing pictures of family, pets and projects. I have to pick a new photo hosting site since imagestation is history. Which one do you kids recommend?

BTW, still GTY this morning.....

I use Shutterfly because when I do want to order actual prints, I can order them for pick up at our local Target and they are ready in an hour.

I don't know, he's just a diehard Miller lite fan I suppose. I personally think it tastes like pee. I had a sip of his once and never again!
