Word has it that no additional times for booking at 75 days will be available. We are first time cruisers and very disappointed at the moment. With 12 days before we can book anything by DCL we are now trying to decide what we will be doing. My son was looking forward to certain excursions, (pirate boat, sea lion swim, canopy zip line. . .) Hopefully he will take it in stride, he might even be fine with beach days.

Just keep checking back starting at the 75 day mark. Also, if you know exactly what you are looking for, post it here on the boards. Alot of times, if someone is thinking of cancelling, they can coordinate with you so you can take over the excursion.

Also, they hold out some, sometimes, and if you check as soon as the excursion desk opens once on board, you can get it booked. Also, in any case, go to the excursion desk and ask them to be "waitlisted" so in case anyone cancels, you can have their spot. It has worked for us in the past.

Today while at work I got Pirate and Princess Party Tickets and Ohana's reservations for our trip.:cool1: Now I get to wear my Jack Sparrow costume twice.:rotfl2: So if you see a female Jack walking around say hi!( I don't like Elizabeth).

I had 15 minutes here at work, so thought I better see what's happening. Don't have time to read the 125 pages though. Hopefully haven't missed anything.

It is really snowing hard right now in Salt Lake. Looking out my window here at work and thinking "why in the world did I just finish cleaning up all the snow in my driveway when it just snows again?"

I am still HATING the snow this winter!

I am fixing dinner now and I hope to catch up tonight. I might just go crawl in my bed and red these 20 pages I am behind.

Still ice here and it is supposed to turn back to snow later on tonight. I would much rather have the snow. Ice is just not safe....

I am so tired....I hope to go to sleep early!!

Those excursions were not open at 90 days either. A bunch of us booked the Sea Lions apart from Disney, and the Pirate Boat is going to be in rehad. Depending on which Zip Line you want some are still open.

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up. I booked a dolphin swim thru http://www.puertovallartatours.net/swim-with-dolphins.htm and they have a promotion that kids are free with paying adult if you mention the promotion while ordering. Long story short, I called the company to make sure where and when in the order do I mention the promo and then followed their instructions and the instructions on the website which are:
"Kids: Minimum age is 1 year. Children 1-7 must be accompanied by an adult. *Children under the age of 5 participate free of charge with a paying adult. This promotion applies upon client request. E-mail us or use the Comments Area once your reservation is finished. Refunds do not apply after the reservation is made on line."
I noted in the comment area that I wanted the discount with this promotion.
I got an e-mail from them stating I didn't follow the instructions and therefor they are charging me full price. I've copied their instructions to them and asked which part I didn't follow and they won't say, just keep stating they have charged me full price.
So be warned, sadly not a good company to deal with.
I would share this on cruise critic if I were you, they advertize over there and also read so it may helpresolve your issues.

That's a pretty sweet gig - I don't drink coffee, have dry cleaning, or need copies made :rotfl:

Of course the pay is a little low ($0) but I'll make sure and give you a 200% raise every year! :teacher:

:rotfl: The guarenteed pay raise cinches it for me:thumbsup2

Monica, so I shouldn't book with either of these? What about Frontier? I can't believe I haven't booked a return flight yet, I just haven't found a rate or time I like:confused3 These airlines have a little better times and rates so I thought I might book soon, but I don't want to use them if they aren't reliable.

Kathe

Kathe - they are reliable....cancellations were do to the weather about the country today. No need to worry :goodvibes *as long as there's no snow or ice :rotfl: *

Didn't mean to make you worry! Sorry!

Ouch......On the last PC cruise with the t-shirt and LE merchandise fiasco, when DCL's response was they couldn't get more shirts, one creative cruiser decided to have their friend back in the US make shirts and have them waiting in Acapulco ( I think that was where). Anyway, the shirts said something like the theme of the MC/VISA promotion:

cost of cruise $

and then a couple of other things. and then, I think the last thing said something like:

cost for getting a LE shirt on PC cruise: PRICELESS

something along those lines. I heard (this is all hearsay) that DCL requested that the shirts not be worn from that point on, and that actually that person no longer is allowed to cruise on DCL. Don't know if that is the actual reality, but I know someone who can probably remember, but they aren't available to get me the info til tomorrow.

Anyway, probably NOT a good idea to have shirts like that on the cruise, although it is tempting.

I was just sitting in the sun in my back yard in a 3/4 sleeve shirt, I think we're getting your snow tomorrow. I'm happy for it to snow in the mountains, but am ready for the local snow to STOP!

I was going tell you but Seasulter already explained to you.

I think disney must keep dividual for 105, 90 and 75 days :confused3

If your 75 days come up, IF full, (well I hope not) you always check it every day to see some cancelled.

When we cruised in 2006 we REALLY REALLY wanted a specific snorkeling excursion in Nassau. It was full. We booked something else. First night at the WELCOME ABOARD show the Cruise Director mentioned that several excursions still had space and THAT WAS ONE!

When the show was over I RAN to the Excursion Desk and switched the reservations for all five of us.

THEN--when we went on the excursion, it was nearly empty.

Someone goofed somewhere, but, as DH said, we had an ALMOST PRIVATE EXCURSION. Our kids loved it as did we.

SO, check when you are on board. We will.

Don't give up! People do cancel excursions and you can always go to the excursion desk once on board. In regards to the pirate sail in PV, that boat will be in dry dock, so they should have never offered it as an excursion. The sea lions were sold out before the 90 mark, which I don't understand...guess all the cat 1-3 people got them. We wanted that but went with the dolphin excursion...which is currently open in three ports. The zipline is sold out in both ports, but openings may pop up. You just gotta keep checking. I understand the disappointment though, we went through it too and had to adjust.

I am so frustrated with this blankety-blank website and the unhelpful DCL reps! I booked my son and DH on the Dolphin Signature Swim in Puerto Vallarta and booked my 3YO DD and myself on the Dolphin Encounter excursion at the same time (ending half hour earlier). She subsequently was dropped from the reservation (I believe this happened to someone else here, too). I called to ask, and they said I couldn't add her to it because that time is no longer available. It's not now, but it was, and she was confirmed (now I really do know how to confirm a reservation - I had been wrong about the earlier Palo brunch fiasco). Anyway, now I have to go in and try to book us again at a different time (inconvenient for the family since now we can't all go on the same bus), and I fully expect she will drop off again.

Also, I had planned for us all to do the Sailaway Beach and Snorkel in Aruba, and the description used to give a price for a 3YO, but now it has been changed to a minimum of 5. Couldn't they have put the right age before they opened bookings? I never was able to book her, but when I previously called I was told that she was free and I would be able to take her! Do the reps just make stuff up? It's beyond frustrating!

I am looking online for vehicles.....everyone seems to be ditching the SUV, which is fine I either want another Explorer or an Expedition, Tahoe, Trailblazer, etc...

I travel 6.07 miles to work so a tad over 12 miles a day.....John's work is right by mine so that's the same distance in his car. When he takes the truck to softball....it's 7.22 miles....so other than the trip to Lakeland and Disney, we really don't go far, so I don't mind the gas guzzlers.
