Sorry to sound like a mean mom. That sounded really selfish. Didn't mean it that way. If he would just take a nap, which you'd think he'd need after NO sleep the night before last and less then normal sleep last night.

This sucks. This kid NEEDS to go to school tomorrow or I'm going to tie him up in the closet. After a MAJOR ordeal, I managed to get some cough suppressant down his throat. I've wasted so much money on so many different kinds trying to get one that doesn't take nasty. Why can't kids just swallow it and it's done? Tiny sip, swish it around in mouth to verify that it tastes like crap, then scream about how bad it tastes and push it away from mouth for 5 minutes before giving in to another tiny sip, repeat 10 times.

I've heard, "I HATE YOU" more times today and last night than I ever have from him. He's bored, but obviously feels like crud still because of the every few seconds cough. "I'M BORED, why can't we go somewhere?" Well, because I don't want to infect the whole city! "Why can't I go play in the snow?" Um....because you're SICK!

Any ideas? Everything I offer as a suggestion gets, "I hate that!" Coloring, puzzles, games, etc. I can't think of anything else. I know! He can help me clean! Yeah, right....he'll love that.

The more he is bored the better he is feeling. When they compain that is a good thing. Tried a movie yet?

No stuff hidden away, and we've been watching movies. I finally told him to go color in his room. Actually, first I said, "Why don't you go clean up your room?" I got "THAT'S BORING!" So I told him to go color in his room, and away he went, but from the sound, he's definitely not coloring, but that's OK...whatever he's doing is keeping him occupied, so that's fine with me!

Good! If he is disconnecting for a little bit then he is getting better. I hope he gets better soon for his sake!

Deborah, if by RR you are refering to Rosa Regale...it is a sparkling wine...just like many of the wines we CALL champagne. Champagne is just (well, no JUST about it) a sparkling wine from the area in France called Champane. Most folks (laymen) just refer to any sparkling wine as champagne. There's no need to differentiate it for our purposes.

I say we should do it during happy hour 4pm on 5/16 the PC crossing day. Most people will not have anything planned for then and it's at the end of the crossing.....tell me if you can't make it at that time. Should we invite the guys to come as well. They can be allowed into the Champagne Girls R&R Party. They can wear the gold tiaras while all the girls wear pink. That'll work for me! Ha Ha

Mine are 11 and 5. What a small world. We have like 5 groups of people on this cruise from Santa Clarita.

Yup, we've watched a couple today. That's what made him bored, I think. I'll suggest me reading a couple books to him in a minute. AND I'll find DCL YouTube video clips. That should help.

Yup, he's getting better, just that horrid cough every few seconds. Vicks didn't even touch it, not even the Vicks on his feet with sock over it like a few people mentioned.

If we have this in a public place I say the more the merrier, and we'd BYOB. If we have a cat 3 or above we need to keep it to 40 people.

So, as time nears we'll decide. It might just be better to open it to a public area and then no one is left out. What does the consensus say?

We do have a fixed number of tiaras but it's a high fixed number with both Debs & mine together...

Of course if we have that cat 3 or more I'm having some kind of party anyways.

I did call. I got the price on the cat 2 and duh, added our name to that list too, why I didn't before is unknown to mankind. It is not as high as cat 1.

OOOOhhhhhhh, OK. Thanks Jackie. I'm not into the sweet .... just like the tart and dry kinds. I didn't know it was a sparkeling wine. I get it now. So we're just the Champagne Girls and no need to differentiate. RR is champagne (sort of) too. It counts in my book.

also, fyi, My mom named me Debra and I just use Deb.....I don't answer to Deborah because it's not my name......some people pronounce it as De-bor-a. That's not me.

BTW, Deborah do you pronounce it as De-bor-a or as Deb-ra? Just curious.

We use a cough syrup called Delsym. Check with your doc of course.
