Does anyone remember the names of the dachshunds in the disney movie with Suzanne Pleshette? I think the movie was "the ugly dachshund"

I just spoke to a very nice CM. I was trying to book the dolphin excursion in Cabo and it wouldn't let me book my youngest...said he wasn't old enough (he's 6 and the excursion is for 4 and above). She handled it and Drew will get booked on it.

She did tell me it's been very busy and the system did have some gliches and to keep trying. She said things will open up and to check every day for the excursions I wanted and didn't get. She said last night the system was availabe to many people in "pockets" which is what I experienced.

It is what it is. I'm not thrilled but what can you do? I'm not going to get myself worked up...life's too short. And I don't feel like yelling at anyone about it, so I'm over it. I'm still disappointed but I'm over it.

I'm not into yelling either, but I am sending an email. The fiasco every time there is a cruise with a lot of loyal returning guests is just not acceptable customer service and I believe nothing changes if those in authority do not hear about it. It was not "pockets", it was all of us who were on for 5 or more hours in the middle of the night to take care of Hassle Free reservations.

Could be anytime between now and right up to cruise time. The person that does this assignment is working on 3 cruises a week, every week, prior to our cruise.

Just FYI ... when I spoke to a rep yesterday (about dining server, etc.) and "asked" if I had a room assignment (didn't want to accept the GTY that has been on our ressie since the start), he very nicely gave me his opinion (based on recent cruises) that we should not count on anything before 30days out. So DH and I talked ourselves into not worrying and checking every few hours like we had been doing. Then we get a room a few hours later guess you just cannot tell when the assignments will happen.

Marilyn, I have an older copy of the palo spread sheet. I have cleared you from Dinner, but have left you on for brunch, correct?

I am not organizing but just have a copy of the excel sheet so can remove people and will send the list on when the time comes to finalized the ressie for Palo private bookings.

Hey everyone, Here is the situation, as I see it, with the private rooms. Noel had the first brunch reserved in her name. I cannot remember what her hubby had, but I know that we had sent in requests for every brunch and dinner in the private room in February of 2006. When I talked to DCL then, I sent them as many names as we could, and she told me I could finalize them later.

This brings up a coupl points. Noel was keeping the lists... PJ did she send you stuf? Many people have changed since then.

2. If Noel is not coming, someone else should request her times.

3. The geeks reserved all the rooms, but we don't want to be seperated from our spouses or eachother, we just want to be together the 2 times we go to Palo, so when we submit the final lists someone else will have to take the other days.

4. If/When all of us get private room booking, they will take away existing reservations you have in that category, so make sure you are ok with what you sign up for.

5. As PTA president, I am begging for someone else to make these lists. PJ if you have got them great, if not Lisa might take those on with her lists...

So... do you want to wait for Noel, start over, use P.J.'s lists etc....

We aren't too refined but if you can take "casual elegance" we can start a DIS group for the 15th.

She has a kidney infection. finished at hospital, been to the drug store, filled her meds, grocery shopped, drove the two little girls to play practice...now I need to put the groceries away and start ont he laundry.

Poor Vanessa! But hopefully it will clear up soon now that she's on meds. Lisa, try to find time to rest, but I suspect that won't come until bedtime.

LOL - we are not too refined either - casual elegance is the way of life (I am a writer and homeschool) and hubby works in a war zone so things are casual for us!

Sounds great about the High Tea group -

We are also on the Hideaway at the island in PV - I think you said you were going to book that? My kids will be 11 and 13 on the cruise.

Hello everyone. Did everyone get what they wanted last night/ this morning. What a CRAZY night. I'm was surprised to see so many of us up at 5am. That is really when it started working. Just wanted to say hi on the new thread. We cut through alot of pages!!!

I still can't believe what a nightmare your booking has gone...did I read right that 12 hours later and you still can't book anything? To be honest, if I were in your shoes, I'd be yelling. I'm some what pacified now because we got something...not what we wanted, but something. And at this point, I'm tired of the whole thing.

I know Kaylee said DCL told her there were 1200 people on last night but that doesn't sound right. Only one person per ressie can be on at one time. I would say that number should have been more like 500 max, which shouldn't cause such a fiasco. I think they need to put some money towards upgrading their systems to handle what I think is reasonable capacity (500 people on a site is nothing).

Angie, I hope you and Dennis get a satisfactory result. Sorry that you haven't been able to book anything, that stinks!

As I understand it the first set of numbers is your DCL ressie # and the second part is the confirmation # for whatever you booked. Well, our two Palo ressies have a DCL ressie # that is NOT ours, nor is it the ressie # of those we linked with. It shows our names. Do you guys think this is a problem?

The DCL ressie ends in 230 so if anyone has a DCL ressie that ends with 230, PM me so we can check and see if it's the same ressie...cuz we might have your Palo ressies!!!

Yes, still at the Hyatt...I was just paying full price for my room, she had a discount of some kind. Actually, it's that we are now sharing a room that is helping me $$wise.

After things settle down a bit, I'll work on DIS dinner at the Hyatt. I'm thinking of a laterish one (8PM) so people have a chance to arrive and get settled in their rooms.

Kim, the list I have seems to be from right when the requests went in, last year. When the confirmation of the reservations come in we can slot people into dates. I see now that we have at least three dates that are not being requested by active Disers, (Noel, her HD and Ulittletinker) and will most likely become dead requests.

I will add the link to the list in my signature, anyone can download it and check if they are on it, then send me any requests for companions etc.

Lisa, I don't mind being the list holder, updater, and it will available from my signature at any time.

Right now the dates we know are requested by active DISers are;
Kimerinc have Saturday the 17th ~ Dinner and Brunch
Mrs Mork have Sunday the 18th ~ Dinner and Brunch
JHalkias have Tuesday the 20th ~ Dinner and Brunch
Lilygator Friday the 23th ~ Dinner and Brunch
PJpoohbear Sat 24th ~ Brunch only

The "geeks" will be using only one Dinner and one Brunch, they just made us to do the work. The rest will be filled with fellow Disers, those on the list and others until we fill the number of requests that get approved.

So as to not overlap, other Diser please send in requests for any other Sea day for Brunch, and any other day for Dinner, that interests you. We might end up with too many, we can always give those back. They will want at least 12 people listed in your request, I don't know how we will figure out how not to overlap with those already on requests on that aspect.

Maybe to DCL it seemed like 1200 people were on, as they received 1200 "requests" at a time. As it turns out, some people were using multiple computers last night. (I can barely keep track of one!)
