To ALL Verizon cell phone users,
After going to the Verizon store and learning that the local store had no training in international service he gave us a book and a phone number to call Monday thru Friday 8AM tio 7PM. Upon reading the book I found a web site,
www.verizonwireless.com/vzglobal. Once I checked things out there I found that they offer Cruse Ship roaming service for
DCL. Great all you need is A digital or Tri-mode phone

, whatever that is, and be willing to pay $2.49 per minute. Text message is a bargain at $ .50 per message sent and $ .05 per message received. (Don't forget your still be doing this at $2.49 / min.)
They also offer a GlobalAccess Data plan that requires a special broadband card and software, (cost unknowen) and a $129.99/per month fee. For those that can't handle the $129.99 monthly fee they also have a pay per use fee Which in Mexico is $ .005 per KB or $5.12 per MB.

By the way this card does not look like anything that will connect to a MAC although it does say that the software is compatible with MAC OS 10.4 and higher.
At these rates it looks like the DCL per minute charge for internet access seems like a bargain and will no doubt be the way we will go.
Don't have any idea what DCL charges for cell phone hook up but anything less than $2.49 per minute would be a bargain.

I don't think our cell phones will see any use until we reach LA.
