Maybe just the DIS'ers have kids, but anyway, I AM glad to see kids! I was worried there would not be many at all. Not that Sophia would be lonely with Savannah there, but I like to see a lot of kids.

I am guessing it will still be light compared to a normal Disney cruise.

I wonder how many kids total are onboard?

What...There's a store at the airport? :cool1: :cool1:

Yep! I hit it every-time we go through MCO. I have a hard time paying 15% more for the same pair of shoes up here, so I wait until I get down there. If I stay over night, includes my parking for three weeks, in BUF before flying down I will check out Dick's sports to see what they have.

Possible in the afternoon I guess. Could be a scramble for the tables.

I'm thinking of booking this for now just in case our DIS one doesn't work out. We are going to review our excursions this weekend and cancel any we have second thoughts about before the 75 day mark just in case the 1st timers need the spaces.

We seem to have gone from thinking we wouldn't go on any excursions to having booked one in every port.:confused3

Glad to see we're not the only ones. We thought we'd maybe book one and now we have one in every port except CC! But we're keeping all of ours!

Though if they would make the petroglyph tour in the afternoon instead of at night we would switch to that.

We are in the middle of Ohio and Toledo is northwest of us about 3 1/2 hours. Doug goes up there a lot on business. It is on the Michigan border. In fact, Toledo is probably closer to Holly than it is to us. :rotfl: :rotfl2: I keep finding out that Ohio is known for a lot of things. Good and bad. :cool1: :goodvibes

Carol
Yup, a bit less than 2 hours from me!

Hmmmm.......maybe could be sort of a central location for a mini DIS meet?

So not to get anyone EXCITED or anything, but here's what the canal looks like from the view I had! :thumbsup2 P.S. The last one is the video cam tower that you guys were watching when we went through the last locks!

:confused3 I wonder if people know what RSVP means? Honestly, I mean that.

I wonder if they either have no idea at all
or
they think it means to let people know if you are not coming
so
if they are coming they do not call.

Maybe we need to write it out, to explain it for them.

The other thought I had was to include in the invitation that tickets would be required for admission so please call Suzy-Q's Mom to arrange for your ticket. Then have some special tickets and make no exceptions. Punch a hole in the ticket to show it was used and let the kid have it as part of their goodie bag.

Jan :earsgirl:

Another tidbit about the rsvp matter. This year I included my cell phone number and also my email address. I had half the rsvp responses come via email! May be some people just do not like talking to strangers on the phone? :confused3

Good Evening All - it has been a great day in Florida - we hit the water early and spent the morning with the fishes (scuba) - so so so relaxing...Then rinse dive gear and take a nap - a little shopping for a friend, dinner and now Dis.

And how many pages do I need to catch up on now?

Go GATORS

Alumini - twice!

More Gators here....although I am dreading our season ticket order this year...they are going up continually "to match the rest of the SEC" until 2010!

Are you in FL? Where?:confused3

all these Mexican dresses are like Mumus........and then the tops are paper thin!

I know! In the auction pictures you can see how thin they are. I was wondering what I would need to wear underneath one of those? A slip might look funny still not sure.

drive by 63 pages to catch up on so will have to wait. I did skim and thanks to everybody that wished me a happy birthday. Today is my 56th - I am getting younger each year(yea right)!

Happy Birthday !!!

(My mom has the same theory - she is now younger than me!!!)

Holly, if you are closterphobic and would like to avoid the situation, Tyler can join my boys and I as we do the Sub at 9:45am in Aruba. My boys have no problem with tight places and I am too fearless to care. LOL I guess it is just my Army training. Give it some thought.
Wow, Steve, that's really nice! I will give this some serious thought. But I'm not sure he'd go without me though. I'll talk it over with him......he's a surprisingly logical kid for his age, so I'll discuss it with him. If I tell him you were in the Army, he'll be so in awe of you, he'll WANT to hang out with you! LOL! Thanks for the offer! I'll let you know.

To ALL Verizon cell phone users,

After going to the Verizon store and learning that the local store had no training in international service he gave us a book and a phone number to call Monday thru Friday 8AM tio 7PM. Upon reading the book I found a web site, www.verizonwireless.com/vzglobal. Once I checked things out there I found that they offer Cruse Ship roaming service for DCL. Great all you need is A digital or Tri-mode phone :confused3 , whatever that is, and be willing to pay $2.49 per minute. Text message is a bargain at $ .50 per message sent and $ .05 per message received. (Don't forget your still be doing this at $2.49 / min.):scared1:

They also offer a GlobalAccess Data plan that requires a special broadband card and software, (cost unknowen) and a $129.99/per month fee. For those that can't handle the $129.99 monthly fee they also have a pay per use fee Which in Mexico is $ .005 per KB or $5.12 per MB.:scared1: By the way this card does not look like anything that will connect to a MAC although it does say that the software is compatible with MAC OS 10.4 and higher.

At these rates it looks like the DCL per minute charge for internet access seems like a bargain and will no doubt be the way we will go.:dance3:

Don't have any idea what DCL charges for cell phone hook up but anything less than $2.49 per minute would be a bargain.:sad2: I don't think our cell phones will see any use until we reach LA.

Doug

Thanks for the info! We will need to call in-laws one day as they are having their 50th anniversary while we are on the cruise.

Lots of catchin up to do, but wanted to answer this.

"Definately, Maybe" was VERY good...even better than I expected! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 It's one of the best chic-flicks I've seen in a long time.

Let me know how "Jumper" is...the concept looks interesting.

Calmom, IF I had kids, I would be cool with gifts showing up for them only.

...back to catch up.....

Thanks - we'll probably go tomorrow. I was afraid of overloading Darrell on chick-flicks as we just saw 27 Dresses last weekend.

Jumper was ok - story interesting, special effects pretty neat - but I was left wanting more back story - no explanations on why, how, etc...
