that's how I feel everytime I log on:eek: DH working all weekend so I get to catch up some. Hope you have a great birthday today:goodvibes
You could always order room service or go up on deck 9, maybe ice cream of yummy sliced pineapple, pannini, wraps, pizza, more fruit, hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken strips. :woohoo:
You are making me so hungry:rolleyes1

Hey Mr. Mork, shall we run over to the Mother Ship and get wood and paint for the front door? (folks, we are no in the same room DISing today. I'm using DGs computer, ours is kaput! )

anyone have exp with Dodge? I am looking, well prpbably going to get a Nitro tomorrow, unless John convinces me of the Charger tonight...I am a Ford gal....owned all Fords with one Mitsubishi in there......thoughts?

I LOVE Dodge. I have always been a Mopar man. I am not sure how they are now, but would think that they are still good, considering the fact that Daimler owns them now. I had a Dodge Avenger that I gave to my son, after 105,000. It still ran great, was good off the line, and I loved it. His friend was helping him move, and was driving it while DS drove the moving truck. Well, it was totalled when some lady swerved and caused him to hit the 'wall' on the freeway. Nobody was hurt, thank goodness. I have had many Chrysler products, and all of them, fortunately, were top notch. My first car was an old '50 Plymouth. I wish I had it now. It was used and cost me 60.00 (Yes sixty) :rotfl: I bought it in 1961. (when I was 3 :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: ). The Avenger was my last one. I want a Viper. Oooooh oho oh oh! Almost bought one, but not a car for commuting. LOL.
The Charger is awesome. oh yeah!

I survived Sophia's party.

11 showed up, and she had a good time.

Glad to hear it. A few years ago, my daughter's best friend had a birthday party. Unfortunately we had other plans for that day so we had to say she couldn't go. We then found out that my daughter was the only person invited. We changed our plans immediately. Since then, if my daughter gets an invite to a friend's party we do everything possible to make sure she goes. They mean too much to the birthday person not to.

Happy Birthday Gydell!

And the car he had when he met me was a Dodge. It hated me, was very jealous. It bit the key off in the door, would stall and not start in the busiest intersection of Whittier Blvd or in the middle of a bean field at 2 in the morning when I was alone. Ran fine for him! :sad2:

To ALL Verizon cell phone users,

After going to the Verizon store and learning that the local store had no training in international service he gave us a book and a phone number to call Monday thru Friday 8AM tio 7PM. Upon reading the book I found a web site, www.verizonwireless.com/vzglobal. Once I checked things out there I found that they offer Cruse Ship roaming service for DCL. Great all you need is A digital or Tri-mode phone :confused3 , whatever that is, and be willing to pay $2.49 per minute. Text message is a bargain at $ .50 per message sent and $ .05 per message received. (Don't forget your still be doing this at $2.49 / min.):scared1:

They also offer a GlobalAccess Data plan that requires a special broadband card and software, (cost unknowen) and a $129.99/per month fee. For those that can't handle the $129.99 monthly fee they also have a pay per use fee Which in Mexico is $ .005 per KB or $5.12 per MB.:scared1: By the way this card does not look like anything that will connect to a MAC although it does say that the software is compatible with MAC OS 10.4 and higher.

At these rates it looks like the DCL per minute charge for internet access seems like a bargain and will no doubt be the way we will go.:dance3:

Don't have any idea what DCL charges for cell phone hook up but anything less than $2.49 per minute would be a bargain.:sad2: I don't think our cell phones will see any use until we reach LA.

Thanks. I don't think DCL offers cell hook up. They offer cell service now, but you pay your provider. I think $2.49 is about what they all charge. The card sounds :scared1: though. We will have to check on DrHug's phone tether set up, but it is probably the same as the card. Too much for me! I could get a massage for that!

thanks!!! I am so excited...both the Charger and Nitro are 2007's that's the newest of a new car I have ever had!

Have room for two more? DH and I will be doing the 12:45 one. Is that the one you guys are doing?

Carol

We are doing this one also, maybe we can get the next table beside them if their table is full.
I had a group that we meet on our Dec. cruise that I meet at sail away on deck 10. We were yelling from the ship to the people on the shore as we were leaving. She said she was yelling and then she thought I was her echo. We meet a little later on deck 10 after a few more yoohoos. I told her we would probably be sitting next to each other. Sure enough we were. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: We had a blast.

Not sure if anyone here needs this information, but I put it together for myself and thought I might as well post it.

Caution: It is long!

Remember to check your phone's GSM frequency capability to ensure that it will work when you want it to work. GSM bands needed are listed below.
Rates are in USD per minute and DO NOT include taxes and fees. TO AVOID INCREMENTAL TOLL CHARGES WHILE ON A CRUISE SHIP, PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE AN INTERNATIONAL ROAMING FEATURE ACTIVATED ON YOUR ACCOUNT.

AT&T has two international plans: World Traveler (WT) $5.99 per month and World Connect (WC) at $3.99 per month. The difference between the two plans is the per minute charge in some countries. Remember to activate the international service before leaving home and disconnect it upon arrival in the States. As far as I can tell there is no activation or disconnect fee. On all the destinations, including the Magic, they give a caution that you may not be able to place calls to international destinations other than the United States while roaming in the country. Calls can be completed within the visited country and back to the US.

Phone Calls placed on the Magic while in international waters (that come up AT&T at Sea or Cingular at Sea on your phone display) will be charged at the rate of $2.49 per min, regardless of international plan used. To send Text: 50 cents or Picture video message: 1.30 per message. According to the site, receiving text, picture or video messages is according to your home pay per use or pkg rates when roaming internationally. It then says to visit www.att.com for details. Data usage: all GPRS pay per use rates are $.0195/KB. GSM bands used: 1900.

Aruba: World Connect: $1.99 per min, World Traveler: $1.69, GSM 900/1900

Panama: World Connect: $2.29, World Traveler: $1.99, GSM : 850

Mexico: World Connect: $0.99, World Traveler: $0.59, GSM: 1900

There is only a $2 difference between the two plans. The breakeven point between the two seems to be using the phone onshore for 5 minutes in Mexico or less than 7 minutes elsewhere in the foreign ports.

Q. Will I be charged long distance in addition to the per-minute roaming rate?
A. No. All calls you make or receive while roaming internationally are charged at the per minute voice roaming rate—with no additional long distance charges. While roaming internationally, calls deposited to your voicemail (when phone is "active" and if busy/no answer) will incur TWICE the per minute charge.

For those interested in Blackberry and laptop roaming information:
http://www.wireless.att.com/learn/international/roaming/affordable-world-packages.jsp#3
I don’t know anything about these things as I don’t even have a cell phone that can take pictures and have never sent a text message! It was confusing whether the package prices listed would be the only charges or if you would have to pay both the cruise ship price and the package price. :confused3
