when is the scrapbooking class?
I am re-posting the info since our other thread is closed:
THE OFFICIAL DISBOARD SCRAPBOOK CLASS FOR THE PC CRUISE
DATE: MONDAY, MAY 12TH
TIME: 12 NOON - 1:30 PM
PLACE: TBA
DETAILS: Each person will be making an 8 x 8 scrapbook themed to our Panama Canal Cruise. I have purchased the 8 x 8 books (they are the same ones for those that went on the EB Med.) You have your choice of either Disney Red, or Lime Green cover. Karen is going to come over to my house at some point and we will work on designing the pages that you will receive. When you get to the class you will receive all the materials and embellishments needed to do your book as well as instructions for the book. Each book is 14 pages total I believe. The cost for the book and the materials is $10 so it helps towards the cost of materials only. The only thing you need to bring to the class is a) yourself and b) your own favorite adhesive. Personally I use Scrapbook Adhesive Brand that I get at my local craft store for $5. It is a double sided scrapbook sticky tape in a dispenser approximately 28 feet in total length. That will get you through the whole book. If you don't have adhesive, or don't want to go buy it, then just let me know and I will pre-buy yours for you and send over to the ship with all the other stuff that I ship ahead of time (usually about 3 boxes of stuff). Then when I get on the ship, everything is in my stateroom.
Now, when this thread started, I took a list of names of those that wanted to scrapbook. However, I know there have been so many changes and updates, so here is what I'd like to do. For now, just PM me with your real first name and then tell me whether you want to do a red or green covered book. That way I can ship the right colors ahead of time. Also, if you want me to buy your scrapbook adhesive and reimburse me later, let me know so I can plan on buying that too.
DEADLINE: Yes, there will have to be a deadline so I can get everything to Florida and have everything pre-packaged for everyone. So, let's tentatively set April 25th as the date for the cut-off. I always make a few extras because we have last minute sign-ups and I hate to turn anyone away but let's go with April 25th.
Any questions, ask away, and if anyone has scrapbooked with me before on the ship, feel free to add any comments or suggestions or feedback (whether positive or negative) on the class.
Remember, everyone is welcome, whether you are a beginner or expert! Scrapbooking is easy (I am not going to do anything really difficult that is hard to understand). I have found that when someone has gotten stuck that another person at the same table has just jumped right in and helped the other disboard member with their book too.
Hopefully, everyone will have their book completed and all you do after the class is add your pictures from the PC cruise! You don't have to worry about bringing any pictures to the class.
I will occasionally put in updates and list those that have signed up to remind everyone about the class.
HAPPY SCRAPPING!
