MaxPass Quick Question

Hi All,
We are WDW regulars and going to DL for the first time this summer, very excited! I have spent hours reading these message boards including the overview for WDW vets and the MaxPass thread and have remaining questions.

I understand MaxPass and we are going to get them-can someone please let me know if this is correct-

-We can get a FP on our phone app with MaxPass and get another FP on phone app either 1.5 hours after booking MaxPass or after time starts for the ride, but we do not have to have used the FP to book another (is this correct?). Ie, if it is 10:00 and we book a FP for 12:00, we can book another FP at 11:30, even though we have not used the first FP b/c it is not time yet? If it is 10:00 and we book a FP for 10:30, we can book another FP at 10:30, even if we have not ridden the ride?

-Can we 'double dip' so to speak with MaxPass and the paper kiosk FP? Ie, if we book a FP on the phone app with MaxPass for 10:00, can we have another FP from the paper kiosk distributor at 10:00 too? Or is it either/or, we have to use one or other other but cannot use both if we have MaxPass?

-One last question-for magic morning (3 day or more tickets) we can only use those in DL and not CA, correct?
Thanks so much!

1) Yes you can get another 90 minutes later without having used the first. You just can't get another for the same attraction until you use the first.
2) No double dipping
3) Yes, MM is only at DL. You have to be onsite to get early entry to DCA.

Max Pass well worth it at $10. Saved a lot of leg work. And photopass included. We liked it for ride photos. Did use photopass photographers a couple of times, at Guardians and Tomorrow World.

If you are at early open, can you get a FP right after your ticket is scanned for a ride that doesn’t open until regular park hours? I realize it wouldn’t be for an hour, but you could get ahead of the rope drop crowd.

Yes, as soon as you scan in at the turnstiles, you can start booking FP for after park opening.

Thank you! Do you select a time for a return, or does it just automatically give you the next available?

It gives the next avaliable time, just like the machine would (although one nice thing about MaxPass is that sometimes times will open up, presumably from people cancelling, and you can get an earlor time than what the machines are currently dispensing). You can also book a FP for an earlier time and then cancel if plans change, which is a benefit vs. Paper FP.

If I go to DL at rope drop and spend the morning there, can I at some point pull a FP using Maxpass for something in DCA, or do I need to enter DCA first?

Where do you actually purchase the MaxPass ?
Is it before the turnstiles , or just inside the park .
Cant do it online , correct ? It has to be at the park ?

Thanks !

Using MP, you can pull a FP for either park from whichever park you're currently in. So you'll be able to get a FP for something in DCA while you're still inside DL. That is a big benefit of using MP.

You can purchase MP using the DLR app on your phone after you go through the turnstiles. Scan your ticket into the app, enter a credit card, and purchase MP. Simple and easy! If you buy your ticket through Disney, you should be given the option to purchase MP with your ticket. It won't be activated until you go through the turnstiles.

I was able to buy MP with my ticket through the Disney site.

Yes, Disney should give that option. (But with Disney, always be prepared that a glitch could occur!) But whether you pre-purchase or purchase day of, you still have to go through the turnstiles of either park first. Then you'll be able to activate/purchase MP.

I know this question was answered, but I wanted to let you know that you can still pull a FP using your ticket. You just can't double dip times. So if you are in line for a ride with your phone/app and another member of your party has the tickets they could put them in a machine and pull FP so long as you are eligible for a new FP. Also FYI in case you choose to not use MP every day, when you pull a FP with your ticket it still appears on the app on your phone. So you can still use your phone to scan the FP and not need to pull out your ticket. They will also put rider swaps onto your tickets using your phone app. So even paper FP have a lot of functions on the app, what you can't do without paying for MP is make or cancel FP from your phone.
