if my whole family’s tickets And Max pass on my phone, and the rest want to go and complete the fast pass and I don’t, do I still need to go with them to scan the app or can they just use their tickets? Does that make sense?
 
They can just scan their tickets. I found scanning the tickets is actually easier than trying to scan my phone, I always had issues with my phone taking forever to scan even with the brightness turned up...
 
They can use their tickets to use the FP. You just need the phone to book the FP.
 

If old enough to have their own phones they can load the tickets onto their own DL apps and scan those. A ticket can be loaded onto multiple DL accounts- however it can only be named once, the first time it is ever scanned in.

Can you clarify how to load a ticket onto a second DL account? Currently I have both tickets for me and my boyfriend on my account in the DL app. Can he add one of the tickets to his account now or does he have to wait until after getting the paper ticket? I’m trying to get as much done before we go as possible. I bought the tickets with MP already so we don’t have to worry about adding them each morning.

He can. Open his app, log in to his account, scan eticket. It should pop up with the name you already gave it.
 
Really? Because when I have tried with my wife, it says my annual pass is already associated with another account.
I'm talking about tickets. Annual passes are a different animal, and, since mine expired before MaxPass, I don't know how that works. For our trip in December, I scanned the LMT tickets into my phone, then my husband scanned them into his, with no problem at all. And they were named the same things I'd named them when I scanned them.

We haven't had any issues with this. We are a family of four with annual passes. I did have everyone in the family create their own online account with Disney and to make sure each individual account and pass was properly associated first. After that I scanned in everyone else's APs while logged into my account and did all the fastpass collecting. Last trip, my husband also scanned in everyone else's passes on his account so he could grab fastpasses as well if I wasn't with them.
