Maximum party of 6 at CRT?

I finally went to the source and called WDW-DINE about maximum party sizes for CRT. I'm really pretty shocked that they cap it at 6.

What the heck am I supposed to do with my party of 8? Do I really have to ditch grandpa or one of the grandmas?

They really won't let you make an ADR for a party of 8?? When are you trying for? Could they be booked up and they only have a ressie for 6 available anymore?

Make 2 reservations (4 & 4; 6 & 2; 5 & 3) and see if you can link them together. Or when you check in (a smidge early) at CRT, let them know that you'd appreciate if they could seat you together or as close as possible.

I'm not within my ADR window yet, so I just called WDW-DINE and asked specifically what the largest size party I could book for CRT. They flat out told me it was 6.

I've poked around on the online reservation site and could never get anything larger than 6 to ever show up.

Can I book two reservations for CRT? Is that even possible?

We booked a party of 17 but we will be at 3 tables and they told us that up front. They do try and set the party tables close to each other. We always book more than 6 so I think you might have gotten some bad information.

I'm more than happy to just call to make the ADRs (my window opens on June 5th) but I was planning on doing it online since it opens up an hour earlier than the phone line and don't want to miss out.

Should I wait and call? Should I book a table of 6 online and then call an hour later and discuss my dilemma with them?

One member of our party is on a separate reservation - should I book one table under my reservation and another under his and just try to see if the hostess will seat us together or close by the day of?

I was told the same thing when I made my reservation so we have 2 reservations connected for our party of 8

I don't think an hour delay on your 180 day mark will kill your chances of getting into CRT. I'd leave that one for last, make your other ADRs online, and then call as soon as they opened. But, if it would make you feel a lot better, then make an ADR with your reservation and a second ADR with your party's reservation. At least then you would know you DEFINITELY had an ADR. And then call dining when they open. If they can get you an ADR for your entire party, then your seperate ADR's can be canceled. If they can't book an ADR for a party of 8 then you have your 2 ADRs already and you can request adjoining tables when you get to the restaurant.

We were able to get reservations for a party of 7 in December of last year by calling on the phone.

We had the same issue last week making ADRs. On-line I could make it for 4 of us so I did that and than called when the lines opened and added a seperate 4 person ADR. We just asked for them to be linked-although not a guarantee we are hoping it works.
