Max pass needed mid Sept?

I have been to DL once around 15 yrs ago so essentially a newbie. We will be visiting Sun-Tues and have tickets for the Halloween party on Wed. It is DD and myself, both commando adults. We will definitely be at the gates before opening. I'm on the fence about max pass. Not sure we will need it this time of year.. maybe for the Sunday..can you buy it for just one day? On the other hand we will probably want to ride just about everything. Any advice?

Yes, you can buy for just one day. You can try it out your first day, and, if you like it, you can buy it every day thereafter.
