Max Pass/Disney App question

I've used the Disney App plenty of times while in the park to check wait times, etc., but this will be our first visit using Max Pass. We already have our tickets, but I have a couple of questions.

The Max Pass instructions mention signing in to the App with your Disney account. I don't have a Disney account. Do I create one on the app before I go, or is this created after we scan our tickets and are in the parks?

If I'm going to get FP for several kids, do I scan all their tickets onto my phone and then get them all at once each time? I'm a little unclear how this works.

Thanks!

You can create an account ahead of time on thw disneyland website, then sign in on the app. If you'll be purchasing MaxPass via the app you should add a payment method to your account to save time when you get there.

Regarding getting FP for multiple people, you are correct. You will scan everyone's tickets into the app first. When you go to get a FP, a list of tickets will come up and you can choose which people you want a FP for, and then, as long as everyone you selected is eligible for a FP, it will bring up a list of FP to choose from.

I heard there are "How To" videos on YouTube for MaxPass.

It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

Make sure to assign a NAME to each ticket as you scan it into the app. If you fail to do this initially, you can’t edit it later. If you fail to assign a name, each ticket is a number, and you have to keep track of who is which number so you can book the correct FPs for each person (especially important if some in your party want to ride certain rides and others don’t, so you want to book different FPs for different people).

More great advice! Thanks!

Just to add - I know at least for 3rd party tickets (LMT Club, etc.) it never even gives you the option to add a name - which is super annoying, but oh well.
