MAW trip question

We just found out my son's MAW trip will be a 4 day cruise on the Wonder in December. We want to stay a few days after and go to WDW too if possible (on our own). Has anybody arrived a few days early or stayed later then your planned MAW trip? I was told Disney was coordinating our flight arrangements.

We did this on my boys MAW trip last year. We drove down and met extended family at WDW. We all stayed at CBR for 4 nights and toured the parks together. Then the rest of the family went home and we moved over to GKTW. I told our MAW coordinator about wanting to do this and it was no problem. They just needed to know our dates--when we were leaving home and when we would arrive at GKTW. Of course we paid for our stay at CBR and the parks tickets during that part of our trip. I would suggest speaking with your MAW coordinator to see if it's possible to do this before airline tix are purchased.

We are extending my DD's MAW trip by two nights, at our own expense. We are flying from CA so they made the plane reservations for the total trip and we are paying a prorated portion for the extra days on the rental car. The coordinator we have said not all chapters allow you extend the trip, so I would talk to you coordinator.
