Just wanted to say I am enjoying your pre-trip report! Your girls are all beautiful and I am so glad you will all be able to enjoy a magical trip together.
I am going to put my answers in purple.
1. As far as packing goes, I am trying to travel with the least amount of stuff as possible. Khelsey IS in diapers and needs wipes too. I am worried about the "weight" limit on luggage if we were to pack her diapers...I was thinking about shipping her diapers but how far in advance should we ship them? Would you ship or just pack them in her suitcase? My friend has many medical issues and shipped all of her supplies down about 5 days prior to her trip (she used Fed-Ex). They held them at the front desk of the resort, so I'm sure they can do this for you at GKTW.
2. Anyone wanna share their favs at Seaworld? We have YET to even look into things to do...we've been concentrating on MK and the others! I KNOW Khelsey will love Seaworld...she loves aquariums, fish, etc. I have no idea what to expect there.
The underwater viewing of the dolphins is amazing. They also have underwater viewing of the Orcas on the side of Shamu stadium. My dd loved it when we went when she was 4&5 (that was our last visit to SW).
3. Which nightime firework display is your favorite and why? My DH and I are so overwhelmed with all that there is to do at the parks and we have no idea what is a "must do" or "must see". I'd love to hear your opinions. We are doing some booking and planning tonight! YAY!!!
We love Wishes at MK. Illuminations at Epcot is nice, but in my opinion harder to view and my dd much prefers Wishes.

4. With Akershus dining- do you recommend breakfast, lunch or dinner? Is there a difference in time with the princesses? Is there any way to guarantee Cinderella being there at any particular time? (Kaylie's fav)...What other Character dining do you recommend, maybe for the classic characters?
We have done dinner at the Akershus at least 8x the last being in Sept. & Cinderella has been there every time. A great part of the Akershus meal is that the photo package is included in the cost of your meal, so you automatically get an 8x10 and smaller pictures with your meal. It has always been a photo with Belle in our visits so make sure if you do this meal that the whole family gets in the picture. It is the only family picture I get every trip :rotfl:
5. Also, BBB for the little girls...have any of you guys done this? What is the best way to go? I just want to do all that is possible but I don't want to overbook...so any advice on any of this is SOOOO welcomed. :)
Thank you in advance!
We have also done BBB many many times. Do either of the 2 lowest packages. If your girls want to dress up bring dresses from home (I buy mine at the Disney store on sale). You can get the pkg with hair and makeup or hair, makeup and nail polish. It is a difference of $10 between the two packages. You can still change in the fancy dressing room at the BBB if you bring your dress from home so your girls get the same experience as those who pay $300 for the big package. You also can take them next door to the BBB for the photopass photo shoot which is free (the pics all are loaded onto your photopass & I believe you get your photopass for free through MAW). Even if Khelsey doesn't get a BBB makeover they will pixie dust her hair for free which is really fun and cute! Also, they tend to get backed up time was as the day goes on, so if you can do a morning appt I would highly recommend it.

Let me know if you have any other questions about my answers  I look forward to hearing all about your magical vacation!

Hi I just wanted to say that my DS just got the call and we have tenative dates for March 5-11.. I hope we all have the much needed fun that we possibly can knowing this is a trip of a lifetime! :woohoo:

Thank you so much and I want to wish you guys the same! Fun and a much needed break as a whole family sound REALLY good right now... ;)

Shelby, your girls are beautiful!!! so happy you all will be making this special trip, sounds like the get away is well deserved.

my $.02 on your questions...

shipping stuff - probably 1 week ahead - make sure you have your reservation number on the mailing label.

have been to SeaWorld in San Diego, its a lot of fun, if Khelsey is so into fishes, etc she will LOVE it!

Wishes Fireworks are our fav's, but Illuminations is wonderful too!

We went to the breakfast at Akerhaus, very good food and great interaction with the princesses!!! I'm not sure what princesses are usually there right now, we were there last in 08....

BBB is so much fun....you can bring your own costumes to save $$$ a couple different packages....my DD did it in 05, 08 and will be doing it again in March for her 11th Bday (she just doesn't where the costumes anymore, but loves wearing character t-shirts, so I got a happy bday Cinderella shirt from the on-line disney store!!!

looking forward to hearing more about your trip!!!

Thank you- Thank you- Thank you for your $.02!! I love advise from others... So I will definitely ship her diapers and go to Walmart to get her wipes and other little things she may need.

Definitely going to see some fireworks and do a later breakfast at Akershus w/ my girls & the rest of the Princesses. ;)

We are still debating on BBB...trying to get Travis on board with that one now. Just need to be home at the same time for more family talk. LOL
Thank you again for your advise!

Thank GOODNESS Walmart is right down the road...because that's exactly where we are heading as SOON as we get in town. :) (Wipes and other quick necessities). :)

Thank you so much for your advise! I'm so glad I happened to stumble across this board...I don't know what I'd do without all of you!

I will take your advise on the BBB...morning and bring our own dresses...my 8 year old has one already and I'm sure I can get my 4 year old one at Target if I'm not mistaken (she ripped her other 2 dresses due to sooo much wear). LOL

Looks like everything is coming into place. Not much longer now. I would call BBB..even though you aren't sure yet and make an appt. You can always cancel. We have had an appt. for a couple of months and I just called to see if they had just a tad later(we have a 10:30appt and would like 12) and they are completely sold out.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw your kiddos names! Too funny!

I should of named Kylee..Kaylie. I get this ALL the time. I mean everyone says it. I love the name, but it's Kylee..Not sure where they see the "A" in there.

That's hilarious because we get the opposite! People call her Kylee!!! We ALMOST named her Kylee too but my husband's boss stole it from us. :lmao:

I have a quick question...

My girls get very nervous, excited, etc...almost to the point of making themselves sick when something big is coming up. Almost like they work themselves up so much that they get sick. We just got home from a long awaited trip to Great Wolf Lodge that my IL's got them for their Christmas present. My youngest was sick to her stomach (about to throw up, etc) until the day after we arrived there. I want my girls to be able to look forward to something w/o getting sooo worked up about it. I am really of thinking about not telling them how close the date is coming...and maybe not even telling them until we are leaving that morning! I thought that giving them plenty of time to get used to idea of the trip would be good, but that completely backfired on me with the Great Wolf Lodge trip. I don't know what to do...any advice? I am going to post this on my PTR too so if you see the duplicate post, that's why. Thanks in advance for any advice! All is welcome.

Sorry I haven't been on much...My classes started back at school again and then I added another class this week. I'M CRAZY I know... hahaha...but I will not regret it in the long run.

We really haven't made much progress in planning for our trip. I am probably going to just wing it except for the Sunday we will be there...hoping to be able to reserve dinner at Akershus that day. I am also trying to see if our Wish Coordinator can switch our flight arrangement. They have us on a flight with only a 30 minute layover and I am afraid I will not be able to get Khelsey changed and taken care of in that short of a time frame as well as having to get our whole family to the gate in time too! So I am waiting to hear from her regarding that as well. I am hoping for a nonstop flight. (CROSS YOUR FINGERS FOR US!!)

Anyhoo, thanks for keeping up with us and I'm hoping to take some more pics of our family this weekend. I am never home with my girls anymore...I'm in school Mon & Tues nights, work Wed, Thurs & Fri nights and work on Sunday lunches as well. So we have Saturday's only for the day and my Husband works THAT day! LOL...Oh well...I am counting down every day for our wonderful time away from all of this work/school. I know it will be here before we know it!

Hope you had fun at the Great Wolf Lodge....I'm taking Megan for the first time next weekend for one night as a surprise!

If you girls get nervous with travelling, you probably should keep the WDW trip on the down low like you said...hope you can get your tickets changed there's nothing worse than having to run to catch your connecting flight....

sounds like you really need a break from your crazy schedule, I'm tired just reading it!

take care of yourself, don't get burned out!

Thank you Lisa! I am going to sleep sleep sleep on Saturday and snuggle with my girls. That's what momma needs to get me through...Of course there will be some studying in there too, but just not having to GO to school or work will be soooo nice!

Our family has been graciously asked to participate in the Big Give...and let me just say that we received our first package today!!! I feel like this whole thing is just a dream...Khelsey getting to Make a Special Wish...that wish IS coming true...and to be asked to participate in the Big Give.

So...here are our very first Pics of our Big Give! Thank you sooo much Lisa & Megan (Mommy2mrb)...they made these absolutely ADORABLE autograph books that were personalized PERFECTLY for each of my girls! Please don't mind the dirty jeans Khelsey is wearing, or the crazy hair my Karis has...these were literally taken straight after work/school and these girls could NOT contain themselves to wait. :rotfl:

Here's Khelsey checking out her package...

Kaylie tearing into hers too (again) a messy girl... ;) (the woman in the background is Chante...she has been our helper for 1 year now for Khelsey...she comes in the afternoon to help shower, feed, etc for us since we have terribly busy schedules). She's such a great help...
