Mattress suggestions

We need to buy a new king mattress and box spring. I was shopping for them yesterday and it was all so confusing. I checked the internet for recommendations and I am still so confused. Right now, I am leaning towards buying a Westin heavenly bed. If you are really happy with your mattress, please tell me what you have. Thanks.

At the beginning of this year I bought DH and I a Tempur-Pedic king mattress and box set.

OH MY GAWD!!!

It is the best!!!!!

I bought the BellaSonna set. And it was the BEST $5,000.00 Ive ever spent, really. When I come home from work after being on my feet sometimes for 12 hours,and in pain, I know that bed will make me feel fabulous for my next shift.
DH and I love it. In fact on our days off its hard to want to get out of bed.

Thanks for the recommendation. I am not sure if I can get DH to spend that much. We will check it out this weekend.

With Tempur-Pedic, I suggest that you try before you buy. I stayed at a hotel that had them and I couldn't stand it. If you roll over a lot in your sleep, you have to "lift" yourself out of the mattress to roll over. Plus, I have arthritis in my hip and neck and when I got up the next morning, I was in so much pain, I was in tears.

Seems like they either work really well for people or they hate them.

I know this is going to sound really cheap, but the best mattress we've ever had came from Big Lots and it was less than $500. It's a flippable pillowtop and feels like a dream to sleep on. We got it on the cheap, thinking we'd replace it as soon as we got a tax return or something, but it's been 3 years and still as good as new.

When we moved into this house last year, we bought new mattresses for the kids (either Seely or Serta... one of the S ones) and they're already wearing out. They weren't flippable, though.

I just can't believe how good our Big Lots mattress set is.

Just went through this. It was the most confusing shopping decision I ever went through. Its so hard to compare because each manufacturer makes the same model, but named differently by changin the ticking or something minor, for each retailer.

We finally went for a BeautyRest Worldclass. Wanted the Exceptionale but hubby didn't want to dish out the money. I have to say, however, that even though there were some bad reviews out there, we LOVE our new mattress!

Good luck, it took me about a month to finally make a decision.
