Mattie's MAW PTR

New here.. Hopefully I am getting this right.

My daughter Mattie was approved for MAW several months ago. I believe we started the process about 9 months ago. Honestly this last year has been so crazy that I have lost track. We got the call that her volunteers will be coming out on Saturday to get Mattie's wish and to have us fill out the remaining paperwork. Mattie has gone back and forth about what she is going to wish for, but seems to have finally settled on Disney. I am thrilled to be a part of this board. Both my husband and I have been to Disney in the past, but were both children at the time. I think I was 8... needless to say, it has been a while.

Mattie has multiple health issues that for the most part fall under the diagnosis of both klippel- feil syndrome, and mitochondrial myopathy. Feel free to click on her caring bridge link to read more about her.

Mattie's MAW volunteers came out to the house today. They brought the remaining paperwork for us to fill out. They also went over Mattie's wish with her. They said most likely we will have the wish approved next week. She is so excited. They had the GKTW forms with them when they came out. We filled everything out.

Mattie was shy at first, but eventually came out of her shell. She played the piano for them and even talked to them about her Bieber Fever! Here are a couple of pictures from their visit.

You'll get the hang of the boards quickly. Trust me....this is addictive, lol! I love(d) reading the pre-trip & post trip reports. Seeing the pictures of these sweeties having the time of their lives is wonderful.
Have you guys thought about dates yet?

Mattie can't handle the heat, so I have asked that we plan on Nov/Dec. If that wont work we will wait for March. They didn't really say what was the most likely to happen. They did say the board met on Wed, so we should hear something soon.
